We stayed for one night. When we arrived the restaurant was just jumping with excitement with families and others singing karaoke. It was a nice welcome. We checked out the pool. It was a little cold but the kids had a quick dip and were happy. The staff was amazing. Such great customer service. From the staff that checked us in, the gentleman that cooked breakfast and the lady that cleaned the rooms. The maintenance man helped us with a little issue faster than my toddler could asking him a million questions which is lightning speed. Checkout was also great! 10/10 would definitely stay here again. Rooms were comfortable, quiet, and clean! Great water pressure for the kids baths and showers.

I felt safe in the area. There were always people walking in the area. It's close to the highway. The breakfast was less than average. There were hot items available, but it's very low grade. The property IS next to a lake so bugs and spiders are somewhat expected, but there were a couple of spiders in the room. We had a lake view, but it would have been nice if the windows were clean. The beds were comfortable. Staff was not always at the front desk and I had to wait 10-15 for someone to show up so I could check in. Be warned that there is no elevator, so if you cannot do stairs, request a room on the first floor. The ice machine was not functioning, so we had to ask the front desk if we wanted ice. The staff was friendly and never seemed to mind helping. Overall, our stay was fine. The hotel was convenient for us as it was close to Salem.

Rooms clean and somewhat updated. I was ok with the property itself as the price was good for the area. We stayed on a sat night though and while I didn’t mind the band playing very loudly early in the evening, my family of 4 turned in at 11pm which is when we heard a stoppage of music. But it was only a break. I was awoken for more music until midnight. We were assigned a room directly above the bar and I feel the front desk clerk could have asked our preference as I did not realize such noise would be an issue. Oh - fire pit was just outside our window too, so extra noise unfortunately. Breakfast was not very enjoyable either but sufficient.

Decent accommodation. Hotel and room was clean. Restaurant was nice to have on firat floor, but unless you plan to stay up late every night, ask for a room on the opposite side of hotel from Restaurant. The live music will make it difficult to sleep when you have to depart early in the morning.

The hotel has live bands on Friday and Saturday. It would be awful if your room was over the bar area. Our room was at opposite end so it wasn’t too bad. Breakfast wasn’t really breakfast.

The beds were comfortable but that was it. •The bath towel over the bathtub was full of rust like dye marks all over it. Housekeeping should never use a towel looking like that. •Coating in bathtub had peeling marks and shower curtain was not clean looking. •During the night I noticed the AC unit was dripping water onto carpet. •The included hot breakfast that morning had burnt potatoes and found hair in the eggs. Did complain the next morning to the front desk but they told me to contact the third party I booked through which was Expedia. Due to road trip travels and expected events, I wasn’t able to call Expedia until about 5 days later. Expedia did call the hotel for a refund but the hotel said they had nothing to offer because it was 5 days later. What difference does that make when I told them about the issues in the morning of check out. Was also disappointed in Expedia for not offering a refund for the room, only points was offered in the amount of $ 39.69. Expedia should not be representing a hotel like this. It’s better to book rooms directly with hotel to avoid these problems.

They are joining rooms. The door that goes to the next room is very thin, you can hear everything going on in the room next door. The wall AC leaks water while running, leaks onto the carpet leaving a puddle next to the bed. Also leaves a horrible smell in the room. I was coughing my second day there, i think there is some serious black mold build up under the carpet from the AC leaking. Mattress had a lot of broken springs on one side. Very uncomfortable and horrible for the back..... little things that aren't a big deal but inconvenient. No elevator, stairs only for the second floor and the vending machines are older and take cash only, no credit/ debit card. Also only take 1 dollar bills nothing bigger and I couldn't get ones from down stairs late night.

For one night it wasn’t bad. But the lack of cleanliness was adding up. The room door barely fit the area and honestly finding cigarette type ash on the bedspread was the finally nail. Wanted to like this place because there are stunning views of the lake but overall needs just a bit more upkeep.

The carpet in this room was disgusting. There were stains through the entire room. There was blood on the wall and the carpet. The restaurant had live music which was vey loud and could be heard in our room. We were unwilling to stay in this room but the inn did not have another room available. Lakeside Inn should not be renting this room!

This motel is clearly not ACA compliant. No security bar in the shower area. No elevator for the 2nd floor. The linens are 3rd rate heavily used. The floor mat in the bathroom was practically a rag. Dingy & ragged. The coverlet on the bedroom was dusty. I had to buy my own cover. The air of the room was filled with polluted dust, cycling through out. The bathroom door was broken. And the drain was all rusted. And the overcharge for the 3rd day was egregious. $135 to $450.00. We were scammed. And we didn't try the food.

Lobby was nice. But… the bed coverings and the accent pillows in my room smelled like they had not been laundered in years. The smell of body odor of previous guests lingered in the room. The carpet in the room was a little sticky. Repairs Ned to be made to the rooms for sure. The best part of the stay was the view of the lake in the morning.

If you're coming here for a resort style stay, you're coming to the wrong place. It's a motel with a very motel feel. The rooms really are nothing to write home about. That being said, the staff were extremely nice and the view is absolutely phenomenal. Any flaws in the hotel itself are outshown by that. I literally woke up to the sound of waves crashing against the rocks. For the "there's not a beach" people. The beach is accessible due low and mid tide. It is completely covered during high tide. The public part of the beach is right down the street. I'll definitely be back.

Overall a good stay, I had a connection room and those door were absolutely horrible! Paper thin! The family next door was up all night talking and watching TV and I could hear everything. I was so exhausted from a full travel day I just used pillows to block out the noise instead of walking all the way back downstairs as there’s no elevator. Avoid their connecting rooms!

The stay was somewhat bizarre as the hotel had no elevator and simultaneously run down/antique and ultra-modern aesthetics. The room was oddly shaped and the lake outside hosted singing animals all night. People were out in the parking lot at about 6am partying. We might’ve cared more but we were only there to crash before an early flight; the motel 6 we stayed at a few nights prior was better

Our original room smelled and the A/C leaked all over the carpet. I went to desk and staff was friendly and swapped our room out asap. The second room was much better and didn’t smell bad. The bathrooms could use an overhaul. The restaurant was great the service good and the food delicious. The next morning the breakfast was not laid out by 7 and there were only old muffins and toast. It was explained they were short staffed so there would not be a hot breakfast that day. We decided to go somewhere else to eat for a good meal and coffee. It’s unfortunate as they list a free breakfast and we had to purchase a meal unexpectedly. The coffee was awful also thank goodness there was a diner a mile down the road. Overall the staff were friendly and helpful but I would stay elsewhere.

Hotel.staff was friendly and was a great place to stay when visiting Salem or Boston. Just minutes from the Orange line which will take you to Boston, and the commuter train is litterally just blocks away. Very comfortable atmosphere, and beautiful scenery, overlooking the lake. The restaurant is closed Monday and Tuesday, food is generally what you would get at a pub, but great quality and really good service.

It was a quiet place away from Boston. The staff was very friendly & helpful to any needs. We stayed on a weekday so we missed the bar/music. It probably would have been fun. Only downside was the busy traffic en route to airport. A good deal for a reasonable price.

In a suburb of Boston. It being on a lake is nice for a morning walk or run. The shape of the building wasn’t terrible but could use an update. It felt safe and not too out of the way. The value is okay but depending on when you book you can probably find somewhere nicer. I enjoyed my time though.

Hard to believe that in 2025 that this establishment could not get their wi-fi up and running over the course of my stay from Monday afternoon until Wednesday morning. Also difficult to comprehend that the building has no generator in the event of a power outage like the one we experienced overnight Tuesday. Nothing better than waking up due to lack of oxygen because your C-PAP machine is no longer working.... If you get room# 236, pray that it doesn't rain. If it does you will be serenaded by water dripping inside the ceiling/wall by the door. No leaking in the room itself, but it will wake/keep you up. They give you a plastic gold coin at check-in to give to a staff member for going "above and beyond", in the absence of being able to find one, I awarded the coin to my wife since she managed to convince me to stay and was a trooper through the entire ordeal. The breakfast was marginal at best. Runny "eggs", stale bread, burnt sausage patties, NO BACON...

Room 146 may have been in the process of renovating-I hope. The tub had been painted at some point, and it was peeling. The shower curtain was grimy. The smoke alarm had black plastic wrapped around it, like they had been painting. There was one bath towel per person, no hand towels, no toilet paper holder or towel bars. The beds were beginning to be squishy, and with just one chair in the room, you had to sit on the bed to put shoes on. The climate control didn’t even turn on, so no way to cool the room. On the up side, breakfast had a decent number of options, and the view from the breakfast room looks out over the lake, which ,add for a relaxing start to the day. All staff we dealt with were helpful, polite, and noth was too much trouble.

Nice inn with a great view of the lake. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered was good and I can’t say enough about the muffins! Rooms were basic but comfortable. Would definitely stay there again. Location was easy to get anywhere in the Boston area. Definitely recommend!

We chose this property for being on the lake, a hot breakfast buffet, fitness center and bar and restaurant on property. We got there and the room was clean and we had a lakeside view, but the weeds were so tall, you could not enjoy sitting outside looking at the lake. The hot breakfast buffet was just powdered eggs and carbs and should have just had better, healthier choices. The fitness center was not up to par and didn't even use it because it was lacking equipment. The bar and restaurant were closed the 2 nights we were there. So disappointed, but the room was clean and comfortable and we were able to move on to our next destination for our road trip
