When I walked into the lobby the smell of smoke was so strong. I asked about the “free breakfast” and was told it was a frozen sandwich I had it microwave - my child is gluten free and can’t eat that and the breakfast was one of the reasons we chose the location.. The beverage machine where we filled our water bottles had slimy orange stuff in the catch bin underneath where there was standing water and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very, very long time. The slimy orange juice that had dripped down and again never been clean so it turned into this gross gel substance. It was very late and we were on our way home from Oregon and we’re looking for a stop halfway back to our home in Washington. I should’ve just left then, but we were very tired. In the room-sheets had holes and stains, floor had visible crumbs and dirt and dust collected on popcorn ceiling, furniture and all trim not maintained. My child immediately started sneezing – he has allergies and it was clear the room and mold / mildew. After spending less than 10 min in the room, I knew this was not going to be a place that we could sleep healthy and I made a decision for my child sake and for my own to leave, I have stayed at many red lions and have never stayed at one that had such poor quality. Hotel lied and said we stayed and denied refund.

Night shift receptionist (unfortunately don’t remember her name) was excellent. Location was decent and had a great overall stay.

We checked into the hotel to attend a concert, a common activity for many guests at this location. Unfortunately, the front desk staff seemed unaware of where to catch the shuttle to the concert, despite the fact that shuttles are a standard amenity for such events. Moreover, once we were checked into our room, we were met with an unpleasant odor and a generally dingy environment. The entire hotel appears outdated and in need of significant renovations. When I attempted to use the outlets by the nightstand, I discovered that none of them held the plugs securely, rendering them effectively useless. This was undoubtedly the worst Red Lion Hotel experience I've ever had. Given the price we paid, which was unreasonable, and the subpar breakfast consisting of merely a couple of granola bars and coffee, I cannot recommend this establishment. I will not return in the future.
