No complimentary breakfast. No fridge. No microwave. No coffee/tea bar. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Tv was old and had no choice but to watch commercials. Parking is $70 a day and they don't tell you this until you're there giving your car to the valet, and they mumble it. There is a fridge, but it's full of overpriced drinks they want you to buy, and they make it clear you aren't allowed to use it for anything else. Also note, there is another place called the Meridian, (not meridien) that is about a 30 minute walk away, so you might accidently waste a $30 Uber to the wrong place.

Overall is really good. But the cleaning is the thing they need to work on. The room was extremely dusty even right after the housekeeping left. So they don’t wipe the dust, they don’t vacuum or simple don’t come to clean. The rest of the stay was amazing.

Short version. I booked a club king room, hoping to enjoy the club benefits. I placed the door placard facing “at your service” when we left the room, presumably meaning for housekeeping to service the room. I then went to the desk to ask about the club feature and coffee. The front desk people were also extremely friendly and nice, and were very surprised that I hadn’t been advised of where everything was located when I checked in. Returned 1030pm, to find the club closed. To our surprise, the room hadn’t been serviced. I called the front desk, informed them of what occurred, and requested some new towels, which were promptly provided. The next morning, we got up, enjoyed breakfast in the club (very professional staff), and left our room, this time leaving NO placard on the door at all. We returned at 8:30 pm, again finding the club closed and room NOT SERVICED. Went to the front desk again, and reported the lack of service. While the front desk was very professional and nice, there was deflecting as to WHY room wasn’t serviced. Requested towels again - promptly delivered. I then went to the shopette, asked the girl a question (disinterested and short), then the bar, bartender lady was also very short, but sweet when given a $5 tip. In the AM front desk offered a 1pm CO and 10,000 pts. Was told that “someone” reported that our room had “privacy”on the door for our entire stay. Unacceptable-completely untrue. No placard on door 2nd day. Was offered 20,000 pts- not recd yet

It was within walkable distance to convention center. Valet parking only $70/day. The room we were in was very awkward to enter when carrying things and withmore than 1 person. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a recent experience involving this hotel. Upon arrival at Hotel, we were assigned a room that was entirely unacceptable due to extreme noise levels caused by equipment on the roof. When we requested a room change, the staff not only refused in an unacceptably rude and condescending manner but also falsely claimed that no other rooms were available, despite clear evidence to the contrary. The manager’s behavior was unprofessional and included inappropriate comments that are entirely unacceptable in any hospitality setting. As a result of this situation, we were forced to book another hotel, which not only disrupted our day but also completely ruined our plans. After a horrendous travel day because of the weather, I arrived after 11:30pm and stepped into a line for check in. Everyone must has the same travel problems as me. Immediately thought this is going to take long and I was hungry. Michelle took care of all of us quickly and graciously. Even a guest who was on hold for a long time came downstairs. Michelle was by herself and I know she had to be overwhelmed, but she smiled, apologized for the wait, and even recommended a good place to get delivery. I appreciated her professionalism and service. The lobby decor was beautiful and welcoming. My 1st time at that property and definitely not my last.

Having read mixed reviews of this property, I was unsure what to expect. Check-in was outstanding. The clerk was affable and knowledgeable. He ensured that I received my Bonvoy benefits, which included a $15 food credit. The room was comfortable and well-designed. Others commented that a coffee maker was not standard, but I requested one on check-in, and it was there five minutes after I arrived in my room. The view was poor, but I got a good price on the room, so I wasn't too concerned. Breakfast a la carte was a good deal, but the breakfast sandwiches were re-heated and not particularly tasty. A bagel was a little better but still bland. The free coffee was excellent. I did not buy the breakfast buffet, which was too expensive and not particularly exciting. Snacks were well priced. I had one beer at the bar, and the price was quite fair. I found the gym to be more than adequate. The entire structure was clean and well-maintained. Room service was outstanding. The cleaner assigned to my floor introduced herself, was polite, and offered to help in any way possible. Once I asked her to make up my room while I was at the gym, and she did as I asked. As a solo business traveler, the main need was a change of towels, and that was nice to have done in the short time I was away. The location is excellent. The hotel is halfway between the Washington Convention Center and Dupont Circle. Walking along the Massachusetts Ave. corridor is easy. The area gets good street traffic.

This property MAKES you pay $34 for a mediocre breakfast buffet. Apparently it’s in the fine print. So if you stay there and use the “voucher” that they claim is included in your stay, just know it’s not really a voucher. And if you don’t use it you still have to pay!
