Cute modern rooms with thoughtful touches such as sitting areas in rooms, ear plugs for thin walls, robes. It was located next to a cute shopping and dining area called the barnyard which was convenient but it did get loud with the music playing until past midnight. Parking was tough to find at night and the hot tub was always full. Staff was polite and always helpful.

Stayed here for my Anniversary weekend with my girlfriend. We hit the hotel bar right after checking in. Bar staff definitely pays more attention to a certain type of guest over others. We were pretty much ignored with only 4 people sitting. My room curtain had what looked like dried splatter of some sort on it. Rooms are definitely over priced for what you get. Price per night for a basic room with a balcony facing a parking lot was comparable in cost to a suite in Vegas. The pool area and hot tub were the only thing I honestly enjoyed about the stay. They had a movie playing on a projector you could watch while enjoying a swim Sat night which was nice. I honestly had high expectations for my Anniversary stay and found myself apologizing to my girlfriend instead for it not being what I thought it was.

Our room was nice, and serviced each day. Only complaint was that u r charged daily for self parking $30 and a $10 fee for amenities like pool and gym which we didn’t get to use either. There are a few restaurants that are walking distance behind the Inn. Suggest From Scratch for breakfast. There is also a CVS and Safeway across the street if u need anything from a store.

The pool was awesome and late night spa was the best idea, ev charging system was a disaster either you should have it or you shouldn't have it the idea of loaning a charger is kinda not doable since some people keep the charger and won't return it and some people park the car on EV spot and won't charge it

Carmel mission inn was super clean and really nice to stay in. The decor was nice and the rooms were spacious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very nicely decorated. Avoid the accessible room though because the shower flooded the bathroom. Make sure you ask NOT to be in an accessible room. I would recommend it and would come back again!

We had a great stay at the Carmel Mission Inn! The property was very clean, spacious, and safe. It felt very new and renovated and had a cool vibe. It is one of the more affordable places we would find, but it felt like it was more luxurious than the price we paid, which was a great bonus. We would definitely stay here again!

Carmel Mission Inn was a decent hotel for our small little get away. We arrived early in hopes to get an early check-in but they were not able to accommodate us and in fact the room was not ready on time, we had to wait for another 30 minutes. The shower had no water pressure, but the manager had it fixed right away. So other than that I would just say that they should not charge $30 a day for parking (and this is not told to you up front, so even if you don’t have a car they will charge unless you tell them not to) over all the hotel accommodations were nice and clean.

The hotel is in a nice area. The staff is friendly. Basically the room is clean. Our rooms furniture was chipped up. The heater smelled really bad. With Clorox wipes that we brought. I started cleaning the heater. I don’t think it has ever been cleaned… There is a thick layer of dirt. For the price in Carmel. It’s a good s as it gets. They put money into the front end and the bowels need some investment. The restaurant is pretty good.

We loved the pool and hot tub, and the location was perfect. However, there was a stain on the bench when we arrived and I promptly contacted the front desk. Sadly the staff appeared annoyed and was very short with me. When we came back from our daytime activities, the floor was filthy. I felt like I was in a Motel 6 that had been furnished by Wayfair; with peel and stick on wallpaper in the bathroom. The quality of the furnishings were about as durable as lawn decorations you'd buy at Spirit Halloween, and I could've looked past that had they had coffee in the lobby, or complimentary breakfast. It really felt like they were cutting costs and corners anyway they could. I expected better in Carmel.

It was clean but the room wa dark with very little light from any of the lamps and lights in the room. Also only one elevator worked during our stay, very slow to get an elevator and all most impossible during peak time in the morning and evening.

Nice enough place. The room was really not thought out. Balcony was worthless, view of a business and parking. There were no drawers for clothes, unneeded bench where they could be a dresser and desk or table, maybe few chairs. Just really odd set up. tv not smart so could not sign j to any streaming. However spa/pool/property nice. Walking to good coffee and food. But not worth the cost.

Stayed here for business meeting at hotel. All was great, however the mattresses were very springy. I could feel the springs as i slept. Room was quiet and cozy. Bathroom very small. Also bring extension cord as rooms have very few outlets. Surprisingly low tech hotel.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. It is noisy and I can still hear people chat loudly at 1am. It doesn’t look as new as the photos show. It is old and the hallway is dark. It is just not worth the price. I wouldn’t go back.

The hotel is practically right on the highway. It is not in the charming city of Carmel, which is on the other side of the highway. Since the hotel is almost on Highway 1, there is easy access to the beaches and parks south of Carmel. There is, however. a gorgeous, beautifully landscaped outdoor mall with many unique shops and restaurants right next to the hotel, and another shopping area across the street. The hotel room was clean, large, had a comfortable bed, robes ( always a plus for me), and a refrigerator. There is a restaurant right at the hotel.

Lots of little problems that weekend, phones not working so had to come down to ask for missing things in room such as toilet paper and towels. No hot water was available for most of day during one day and no method of communicating to guests. Again, more trips to front desk to inquire on eta. Checked out in person on last day and now they’re adding more charges to my credit card which now requires me to call and inquire.

Careless Management is a sea bed for bad behavior…this is the summary of my experience at this hotel… When I came back to notify the management about forgotten items in the room after checkout, they refused to allow us back in to collect/check on our items or to call the cleaning team to check with them claiming they didnt find anything. Luckily i had my airpods in the jacket that was left behind along with my house keys … tracking this down back to the hotel to the cleaning room where everything was wrapped inside the sheets and hidden to be collected later. The behavior of the management was really bad, not being cooperative, not taking responsibility for the incident, and no apology after i have showed them where the items were. Very disappointing!

Terrible experience with the front desk staff. Both ladies working behind their desks sided with the white Karen guest who accused me of cutting in line, when I had been obviously waiting there for quite a while entirely unacknowledged. They were absolutely rude and completely unprofessional by humiliating me in front of the other guests. The treatment I received from the staff at the front desk was so unfair and uncalled for. It seems as if they play favoritism with their guests. Basically if you’re non white and not bougie enough then you will get discriminated by the front desk staff and by the other entitled, untethered from reality guests staying there. This hotel is the definition of fake luxury, the shampoo and conditioner are crappy, they charge you for every little thing. There is no microwave in the room by the way. If you dare drink the bottle of water that's in the room. It's going to be $6 like a Vegas hotel on the strip. The pillows are hard and round. It was impossible and so uncomfortable for me to sleep, the air conditioner like most hotels in this price range doesn't stay on and will turn off in the middle of the night and then you get hot, Overall I was completely disrespected by the front desk staff including the manager on shift. She just came out of the back office when one of the employees working the front desk went to fetch her out and stood there staring at me the whole time during my check in. So unfortunate to have this kind of experience.

Are charged a parking fee per night, but then are not told of local events being held at the property. Had to drive around the lot for 15 minutes and when we to front desk that’s when we were told about a locals event being held there and being the reason we couldn’t find parking. We were tired from a long day out and wanted to go to bed and we were told we could park off the property at the safeway and try coming back once the event was done. We had alerted the front desk staff that we were parked in a disabled space at the moment to be able to get down to talk, as there was absolutely no other area to stop to get down and ask about parking. As we were talking to front desk EMS and firetrucks had arrived for an inebriated guest from the event being hosted and we were now unable to move from the spot to figure out another parking situation. We went back in and alerted the staff to which we were told that we were ok to leave the car there for the night. We were still extremely hesitant as we understand the legalities of a disabled spot and the possible fines. Still being hesitant, we confirmed with her a couple times and were completely reassured. Morning comes, and as we were heading out a police car is leaving the property after giving us an almost $300 ticket for the parking. When trying to tell the front desk what we had been told the night before, we were completely dismissed and told that it was our problem not theirs. Never coming back. Ruined our trip

The Hotel was sold out but we were still able to check in early, so we could attend wedding ceremony and the go straight to reception. Bed very comfortable, staff excellent. Will return in the future. Marie McDonald

Perfect location if visiting Carmel and Carmel Valley. Rooms are big and quiet. Great food choices in both the front and back of hotel. Cross Roads and Barnyard. Nice to have an Irish bar with music next to back parking lot. From Stratch awesome breakfast a two minute walk.

Im giving this property 5* First, easy to find and near in a lot of establishments like restaurants/backery coffee shop, grocery stores, near also in carmel downtown and many more. Young lady in the front desk was very nice and sweet voice instructed us to our room. We haven't tried the in house resto cause it was quite expensive for us so we ate around the corner of the Inn..

The property and rooms were beautiful however the location was terrible. It’s my fault for assuming this hotel was anywhere near downtown Carmel. Without being in the downtown area or having an ocean view, it doesn’t have much to offer if those are the reasons you are coming to this area. The price was the only reason an ended up choose it.

I’m usually too lazy to leave reviews but I have to this time. This place was awesome. Very cool California vibe. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We didn’t interact with staff much, but when we did, they were pleasant and helpful. The attached bar was fabulous - the bartenders couldn’t have been nicer. Our room looked out over the Barnyard - a shopping center - which had the cutest lights at night. It’s close to another great shopping center and a few minute drive to downtown. I highly recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat. This was seriously one of the most pleasant stays I’ve ever had and we travel fairly often.

There was nothing open in the hotel to eat dinner on Sunday or Monday. I never would have gone there if I knew we couldn't eat there. We had to walk across a busy street to eat dinner.

We came with our 1 year old and everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were wonderful and they made us all very comfortable and happy to stay at the Carmel Mission Inn. The food at Shearwater Tavern was excellent and I would highly recommend. My husband was so impressed with the service that he complimented me choice of hotel

Nice accommodations, easy/friendly checkin, ample onsite self-parking, comfortable bed, nice layout of the property, convenient onsite dining at Shearwater - bartender was great and made a special accommodation GF appetizer. The best thing about this hotel is the food. The chef and wait staff are terrific. We wanted a hotel a little away from downtown Carmel and this hotel fits this requirement. We did not expect to want to have all our meals there. Check out the breakfasts. I have not had better!

This property is easy to access and next to a little local shopping village with food and restaurants. The rooms are very spacious, clean, with plenty of light and double curtains for a good night sleep. We spent Sunday night and unfortunately they don’t offer their usual amenities like happy hour, breakfast, coffee service, and the restaurant closes for the weekend. Looks like if you are staying Tuesday to Saturday, you get the most. I would stay here on a weekday again, we went to the little shopping village and there were many options of restaurants to choose from.

It's a nice hotel in great area. A lot of restaurants, shops and stores are around. The room and hotel itself was clean. Beautiful flowers were blooming all over the place. We had breakfast in the hotels restaurant and it was delicious.
