Athos Hotel

Great location. Nice rooftop patio and view of Acropolis. Very friendly staff. Gave it a 4 because bathroom is very tiny and breakfast wasn’t included. Otherwise a nice stay 👍

Do not book this property — even as a budget option. We fully understood what we were booking in terms of pricing and expectations, but this was the most unacceptable hotel experiences we have ever had. Upon arrival, we pulled back the sheets and found the bedding visibly dirty, with sand and hair throughout. This is a basic hygiene standard that should never be overlooked. Although the sheets were replaced after we reported the issue, that does not change the fact that the room was handed over to guests in that condition in the first place. The issues did not stop there. The bathroom was poorly maintained, with a shower that leaked onto the floor and a shower head that sprayed water in multiple directions. The facilities overall felt outdated and lacked proper upkeep. The room itself was also extremely small — even by Athens standards. We understand that accommodations in Athens can be compact, but this room was so limited that it was difficult to fully open a standard-sized suitcase. What was most concerning was management’s response. Rather than taking accountability, they deflected responsibility to an external laundry service and explicitly stated "there are absolutely no grounds for any form of compensation". This is a significant red flag. If a property can provide a room in this condition and refuse any form of remedy, it raises serious concerns about their commitment to guest satisfaction and service standards. I would strongly advise staying elsewhere.

Great location for us to transfer to the islands. It was clean and AC worked amazing!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Athos. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was well located for our needs and we would stay there again.
