SpringHill Suites by Marriott Turlock

What guests think

At SpringHill Suites by Marriott Turlock, guests often praise the friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, and convenient Hwy 99 access, while recurring downsides include noticeable freeway noise and renovation disruptions, including intermittently closed amenities and occasional hot-water problems.

Breakfast is frequently described as good with decent variety, though some guests found options limited, items depleted during busy periods, or service times too late for early starts. Several reviews also note dim in-room lighting and sporadic TV or minor maintenance issues. Expect a comfortable, service-forward stay with potential noise and occasional operational hiccups.

The helpful friendly staff was the best part of our stay! Everyone we encountered went above and beyond with our needs! For the price and the location, facilities where acceptable. The hot tub was not available, but it was also 100 degrees outside and not needed. Good selection for breakfast and ice water available 24-7. It was a bit worn down in areas but nothing crazy.. could have used a deeper cleaning in areas of rooms.

We arrived just before 10pm and was given a room next to the pool. Kids and adults were screaming bloody murder in the pool area!!!! By 11 I had to call the front desk and ask what time the pool closed. She said 10!!!!! It was almost 11!! I said people are screaming out there and she said she would take care of it. About 15 min later the people finally came in but when they did it was so loud!!! All night something woke us up. It was still loud all night long. It was aweful

Spa & Pool was completely overcome with massive large group of partying guests. Hotel staff could not control the guests in effect allowing over a dozen underage children to take over the spa. We are not apt to paying for services and accommodations that were not able to be provided. The hotel staff has absolutely no control of this property and we highly recommend looking elsewhere when staying in the Turlock area.

There was a very loud vibrating noise that occurred throughout both the night and day. Also the hot tub was not hot and it would have been very nice to be able to use that. Also when we were at breakfast, my husband saw the staff bring out the eggs and took them right away and they were cold and frozen in the middle. This can be quite dangerous with food borne illnesses. When my husband brought to the staff's attention they did microwave them for us and it was sufficiently warm but this is kind of unacceptable. When we brought these issues up with the front office staff, they said they could not refund any money because we went through a 3rd party. We did have to pay the pet fee of $100 so that could have partly been given back to us for these several problems during our stay.

We were a party of 5 and we intended to use the pull out couch. But it was unbelievably dirty and looked like it was pulled out of a dumpster and like it went through a fire. The regular beds also looked and felt dirty and my kids got bit by what I think we bed bugs.

Our stay at this hotel was unfortunately a very unpleasant experience. We were booked for one night, but that was more than enough. Upon entering the bathroom, we immediately noticed that the bathtub appeared clogged. Even worse, it was clear that someone had vomited in there previously — a horrifying sight to be met with after a long journey. The situation escalated when I tried to turn on the shower. Instead of clean water, the pipes pushed out remnants of the vomit, making it clear that the drainage system was completely blocked. The shower curtain was also visibly dirty and clearly had not been cleaned between guests. It was extremely unhygienic and unacceptable for any hospitality standard. Due to the condition of the bathroom, we were unable to use the facilities at all. This made our short stay both uncomfortable and stressful. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the hygiene and plumbing issues immediately.

It started at check in. They use old outdated credit card style room keys. These have been reused many times. We had to have our keys redone/reactivated 3 times. We were initially given a room right next to the elevator. As we were early to check in, I don’t understand why this poor location was assigned. The staff graciously gave us another, better located room. Not sure why this wasn’t done the first time. At check in we requested full maid service as we were staying two nights. When returning to the hotel for our second night of our stay, the maid service had not been performed. It was too late in the evening, so we requested fresh towels for the next morning. This was the first of 4 trips the night manager had to make to our room. Next the tv would not work. We were able to turn it in manually, with the buttons on the back. However, the remote control would not work. The night manager brought up a replacement remote, but it didn’t work either even after replacing the batteries. We were too tired and it was late, so we didn’t move to another room, but it was offered. We were advised that the General Manager would contact us with some sort of accommodation or credit, but that had not occurred. This property is in serious need of a refresh. I most likely will not stay here again nor am I hopeful that the General Manager will get in contact over the multiple issues we had to endure.
