Definitely not enough parking. Was not sure if we were able to park in the lot next door with towing signs on that property. They should let the customers know that it is ok to park there at check in time. Other very nice place.👍

Really good find in Placerville! The room was large, with a comfortable king bed. I was happy with the level of cleanliness, and taking a shower was a thrill because of the non-restricted flow shower head!! They have cable, a frig and microwave, and coffee maker. Parking is plentiful, even on a no vacancy night. I’ll be returning next Fall when I visit Apple Hill!

The clerk that welcomed us was so sweet, this is a great place for the price. It’s outdated but surprisingly very clean. AC worked great for our 100 degree day. Also had a decent variety of snacks and drinks in the vending machine. We would stay here again

The help desk was really nice. Only issue was we didn’t like the parking once more people came that weren’t checked into the hotel. So we had to park in the other lot where there wasn’t any light nor cameras to make sure our car was safe if anything happened to it

You get what you pay for. It was a decent place, and very inexpensive. The amenities listed for this hotel included a continental breakfast - this was false. The check in lady was very friendly and helpful. I think the people running the hotel live onsite. I was greeted one morning by a woman in a robe and towel hair wrap. There was a burn hole in the comforter, the room smelled musty, and the ice machine was not producing. Some of the clientele was a little sketchy, but it was quiet. I wouldn't choose this property for a family vacation, but as a cheap night passing through, it served its purpose.

This is a typical no frills motel but the staff was both pleasant and pro-active. Check in and check out were quick and simple, the room and place was clean. When we returned to the hotel at night it appeared that all of the parking was occupied but the staff assured us we could also park on the other side of the fence from the property, which was also lit well enough. It was possible to hear some traffic noise through the door, but it was not loud at night.

The room was clean and very comfortable. The wifi was fabulous. The only disappointment was the ice not working, but a Grocery Outlet was close to get cold drinks.

This hotel is dangerous; there was a wall outlet that actually had aluminum foil around it! There is mold in the bathroom and the air conditioner is so old it can't possibly be very efficient. There was a huge hole in the bedspread and the door was filthy around the knob.

Older property, but very well maintained. The room was comfortable and clean. There were a few things that could be improved such as the carpeting and the curtains had a few areas that were worn out. But all in all for the price, it was excellent. The staff and check-in was very pleasant and quick. It is a good place to stay, especially if you have a family.

We knew what we were paying for. It was still worse. Our toilet was clogged upon arrival. When we called the front office, they delivered us a plunger. We finally got it working before check out. Bed and towels were clean, but walls and baseboards were disgusting. They do have secure doors now though

Large dead black on bathroom floor day of arrival and still there upon check out three days later. Whole room was dilapidated, chipped plaster, black mold in bathroom. Was hoping a nearby fire caused evacuation. Will not return and am sharing with friends living in Placerville so they make sure their friends and family do not book there.

Bathroom had black mold growing around the shower. Toilet seat was scratched / damaged (needed to be replaced).

This was a safe place to stay overnight. The bathtubs and toilet and floors were clean but the wall and corners were dirty. The sink was clean the carpet and beds were clean the room needs to be dusted.

The room felt like a furnace when we got there and it took hours of using the A/C to cool it down. The TV's HDMI ports weren't accessible so I wasn't able to hook up my Nintendo Switch. And the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The staff there was super-nice, and the location was fantastic, so it's a shame that the facilities were so bad that it was the low point of my trip.

This place is cheap. That is why I stay there. It is one of the better cheap hotels. I might need to upgrade because the wifi is not so good.

Parking easy. Staff friendly and allowed early check-in. Guests quiet, but road noise loud. Room very outdated, but clean. Unable to open window blinds.

Room was clean & comfortable, if a bit outdated. Perfect for our needs as an overnight stop with kids. Area was safe & quiet. Staff was fantastic.

AC unit extremely noisy after running for several hours. Something is broken. Pillows were terrible but the nice lady did give us a good one. For the price it was sufficient.

Average budget motel room, although slightly on the janky side. Air conditioner blew cold, shower was hot with good pressure, property felt safe enough. But the room was frankly pretty depressing. It probably hadn't been remodeled in 30 years, and was definitely showing its age. It just felt really dingy. I guess it was fine for the price, though.

Registration was a mess. They claim they didn't have my registration and was going to charge me more than what I had arranged through Expedia. You register through a window and it was pouring down rain. I showed them my confirmation and they argued with me. They finally gave me the rooms at the price on the website. They had to give me a refund. The rooms are run down. The heating barely worked. I won't be staying there ever again

The manager was excellent! She was very friendly and always willing to help. The room itself was dark, especially at the work desk, due to desk/bedside lighting not working (even with a bulb change). The manager loaned me a lamp to use at the work desk, but there were no outlets anywhere near enough to plug it into. I ended up pulling the desk out into the "hall" so I could use some light from the sink area. This is really unacceptable. During the middle of the day after my first night, I returned to the room and found the card key inoperative. The manager said that the computer wiped out the cards for all rooms, and she had to re-program mine. The outside window at the back of the room had a very thin curtain, so the morning sun blasted into the room and woke me. A better curtain would be a big improvement. The hangers were looped around the dowel, so they couldn't be removed. Clothes had to be stretched over the hangers to get them on and off. For some reason, the microwave and the refrigerator were both unplugged. The TV powered on with the remote, but the Dish receiver had to be manually turned on. The a/c worked well.

National 9 is a basic motel, but that's fine. I was looking for a clean reasonably priced location to be my pit stop on the road and that's what I got. The staff was very friendly when I arrived and departed. No complaints at all.

Booked 2 nights on business. It's an old Motel. Duct tape holding things together. Not enough outlets. One towel. Had to ask for more towels and pillows. First night was noisy upstairs until 4 am so we didn't get much sleep. No management available to take care of it. Followed by a power wash sprayer waking us up at 8:30 am. I opened the door to get a gust of dirt and water in my face. Asked worker to stop. I needed sleep after very little the night before and had a show that night. Worker who ended up being managers husband told us it's time to get up. He was rude and threatened the person I was with. I complained to the office and he turned it off. The lady in the office was very nice and accommodating. Check out is 11am and check in 3 pm ... wash between those times so you don't disturb your customers and get into a law suit because of a hot headed worker ready to physically fight customers! Besides all that not a bad Motel? ... could have been a nice stay.

The check in staff was so helpful, happy and kind. The check in made me feel special. The room was clean and quiet. I have stayed in nicer budget hotels, but for an overnight stay in Placerville it was completely worth it. Coffee machine and fridge in room. A comfortable bed and aircon and heater was quiet, worked well and ended up being a cozy stay. Kudos to the woman who checked me in

standard roadside motel with a very sweet lady working the office. we had a great experience! perfectly inbetween historic placerville and gorgeous apple hill. so great for travelers on a budget!

Just needed a place to hang my hat for the night. A bit away from restaurants but near enough. Clean sheets and better than average shower. Vey good value.

We stayed just one night as a stopover on our way to Tahoe. We have stayed here before and were happy with that night. This stay was very relaxing and will probably stay again.

Decided not to stay after driving around hotel and speaking with locals. Lots of homeless camps around hotel. Felt unsafe.

The lady who checked us in was so lovely, and friendly, very welcoming making checking in a pleasure Room nice and clean a little old fashioned maybe but to me cleanliness and safety are way more important. Good location on the outskirts , but close enough to amenities. Overall a great stay.

The staff at checkin was great, but the property is run down and dirty. The inside of main door is black along doorjam, carpet burns, air conditioner in window is brown with dirt\filthy and the vent is broken, no outlets to charge electronics, and pillow case had brown stain, i dont want to know what it was.Transients approaching us several times to ask for food money and ice.Placerville literally has 3 hotels. Our vehicle got broken into at Best Western so choices are slim here. Wont be back

We were stuck in horrible traffic in a storm so we had to turn around. We were able to snag this room last minute. Front desk person was very nice. The room was sad. Thin little blankets, thin little towels. Found out in the morning it's on the edge of town and near nothing. Would not stay again. The picture of the hotel looks so nice. When you pull up it's like a run down motel. Kind of funny but sad.

Website mentioned "continental breakfast" included. Staff seem offended that I even asked the question about breakfast

Needed a place to stay before white water rafting. This met the needs and was quiet. There are restaurants that are tasty very close

I base my ratings on the expectations I would have for a stay at this price range. The property was totally accessible, the staff was super-friendly, smiling, and cheerful. The shower pressure was AMAZING and the A/C had the ability to freeze me out. The room was equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker and ice and a vending machine were a short distance away. 👍 I would definitely stay at this property again.
