This is a place to stay. If you just need a place to get a comfortable night's sleep and a quick bite of breakfast. Fits the bill. No fuss, no muss. Clean, and comfortable. Front desk was very polite and helpful. Parking would be my only concern. Lot appeared to seem full when I pulled in but found out there was underground parking available.

Hotel was decent. We stayed here for one night while visiting SeaWorld. Pros are good proximity to SeaWorld, fairly affordable stay, good water pressure in the shower and beds were comfortable. Biggest con was parking. The parking spots are insanely small even for a compact car. We were in a Suburban and parking was nearly impossible and literally could not open the doors when parked. We had a wheelchair bound person with us and the few handicap spots they had were full. We ended up having to park in a no parking zone to unload everyone and the luggage and then squeeze the Suburban into a spot. The office staff mentioned an underground parking lot but said my vehicle would not fit down there, so I didn't even try. The next morning I checked it out and there were many open spots and even another Suburban down there, so the office staff clearly had no clue what they were talking about. Another con was the bed frame base was hollow metal and each time you'd step up to the bed, you'd hit the base and it would make that hollow metal sound. Kind of annoying. Lol. None of my family cared for the breakfast that much and were fairly disappointed compared to other continental breakfasts we've had. So not sure where those positive reviews about breakfast are coming from. Not sure if I'd stay here again, but if I do, I have a better idea of what I'm getting into.

They told me when i was checking in that id be charged for anything missing from thebroom, like random out of no where. What did he thunk id want from that room?? The room was nice, but the floors were filthybdorty. The breakfast has a lot of options and is really busy. There is no pool. & i just cant ger over them telling me ill be charged for anything i take from the room... not sure if he said tjat cause i wasnt wearing make up, i headed straoght there after work, or if it was my black 3 year old nephew or my hispanice guy.... not a clue, but it was rude. We will not stay here again.

I loved that there was security in parking lot and that breakfast had protein options. Tv could have been upgraded, and AC was kind of loud. Great location and price was right! Most likely will come back the next time in area. Thank you!

Plenty of free parking! Loved that they had a parking garage. Easy access with stairs and elevators. Free breakfast but go early! Fenced in dog run area in back. VERY CLEAN ROOMS! One of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Nice beds with basic amenities. Lovely stay. However surrounding buildings and area were not ideal. But overall comfortable stay.

The hotel was SO CLEAN! I cannot stress this enough. We got new towels each day, you could look at a surface and tell it had been clean. There was no question. The service was great, staff was super friendly! When we checked in, there was a room mix up and we walked into an occupied room. Went right back to the lobby and they got it fixed asap! The location was great! About a 10-15 minute drive from so many tourist sites which made for easy exploring!

Staff was friendly and room was very clean. The room smelled very good when I walked into it. The bed was comfortable and the shower had amazing pressure with good hot water. The only complaint I had was the noise the people above me made. They stomped and ran all over the place well into the night, but that is not the fault of the hotel. I liked how it is tucked off the road with easy access in and out. I would definitely stay again.

Everytime my boyfriend rolled over the metal would clang and if you kick it, it sounded like thunder (like a sound effect for a movie). Very noisy night with little sleep. There was also some vomit outside one of the rooms. Otherwise, AC worked, restroom was clean, and the breakfast was great! Staff was friendly. But I recommend they do something about the bed frames.

This Comfort Inn is just a remodeled motel. Rooms and bathroom spaces were smaller than expected. The room AC unit looked old and was finicky. Every channel came through fuzzy on the TV and the TV remote didn’t work very well either. The shower head leaked out everywhere and the shower curtain barely held the water in the shower.

The room was clean but I was not a fan of the metal bed bases. It was noisy and took away from the comfort aspect of the room. Staff was overall friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a nice amount of options unfortunately they ran out of waffle batter so we didn't get any waffles. Coffee was good, eggs and sausage were not bad at all. Air conditioning worked well and It got the room nice and cold but the minute you turned it off the room heated up quickly.

My husband literally rolled his eyes at me as we approached the hotel because the area is run-down so he was expecting a run-down hotel. I told him the reviews were excellent and the description said it was recently remodeled, which were both correct. Room was recently updated, it was clean, and the bed was comfortable. We appreciated the free onsite parking, and the elevator. Check-in was quick and the staff member was pleasant. Our ONLY complaint was the aluminum guard they put around the base of the bed to prevent items from going under, as we inadvertently kicked it several times (our apologies to the guests below us when it happened during our departure at 4am). This was a last minute trip and we were just there for overnight, so no review of the included breakfast. Very convenient to the airport, old town, freeway, etc., would definitely stay again.

The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, from the front desk to the housekeeping team. They were always ready with a smile and were happy to answer our questions and offer recommendations. The breakfast was a nice bonus, with a good variety of options to start the day. Overall, this hotel was a great value and a perfect base for our trip. We would definitely stay here again.

This was one of the best trips I have had in a long time. The staff was extremely responsive, friendly and helpful. Any requests for extra towels or a room refresh, was quickly handled in a friendly manner. I highly recommend this hotel.
This was one of the best trips I have had in a long time. The staff was extremely responsive, friendly and helpful. Any requests for extra towels or a room refresh, was quickly handled in a friendly manner. I highly recommend this hotel.

Extremely clean, spacious and modern with numerous appliances. Breakfast is very good. Fresh food, fruit, etc. Time available is very accommodating 6am-10am. Free secured parking Local area is old but travel access to eateries and locations is great. I would recommend to other's and I would stay again.

Checked in with a staff member who couldn’t care less about his job. Entered my room and was greeted by the biggest cockroach ever. Called the desk. Said they’d send someone up. Never did. So instead of relaxing i spent the first 30minutes finding what I could use in the room to kill the thing. Whacked the thing, he remained stuck to the floor with its guts hanging out, still was alive when I woke up. Pretty gross experience. No discount/late check out. Service desk lady in the morning spoke little english. Overall unpleasant and wont stay here again. Parking is free but the spots are very narroe. My advice is to Spend the extra $ and get a better place.

Room was fine. Halls, elevator (outside) and steps old and discolored. Rating of 8.8 was quite inflated. Advertised as SeaWorld area. Was not. Not a family friendly neighborhood. Busy road, adult entertainment places, no walk ability to interesting businesses. Did allow extra 30 min. for my daughter whose car broke down. I've been disappointed by my last 2 Comfort Inns-probably will avoid them.

The room is very clean, comfortable and looks modern. The hotel is close to SeaWorld and San Diego Zoo. It's in a very convenient area where you can find food, grocery, fruits... I also like the breakfast but it's better if the dining room is more spacious so that we are not packed and stand in a long line to get food. Anyway, I appreciate for the service that Comfort Inn at SeaWorld area providing to my family and all the others. Thank you very much!

The overall stay was great. Room was clean and smelled fresh, property was in good condition, breakfast was very good (eggs, sausage, toast, muffins, waffles, etc) I think the only thing we were worried about when we got there was the homeless outside of the property's gate but we were able tonpark close to our room. I think if we would have stayed in one of the rooms in back.....i would have been more worried but overall it was good. We would stay there again. Location was great....close to everything we needed.

The hotel seems to be recently update. It appeared to be clean with the exception of the room floor. It felt unclean in spots while in my bare feet, so started wearing socks. The bottom of my socks were black by the end of the night. The bed was very comfortable and the AC worked well. This hotel shows it is walkable to certain places but I do not recommend walking anywhere. Construction area all around hotel and kind of a sketchy area (strip joint across the street). I not feel safe in the area and would have left if I was alone. Hotel is fine but area is not. Maybe once all the construction is done, the area may be better.

The area around the hotel is more than a bit sketchy. There is a strip joint one block away and hookers roam the area. There are a ton of homeless people all over do drugs in the open. On top of that they clean the rooms with something that stinks all night. Don't come here if you have kids...Bad news!!!

Nothing fancy, but the room was neat and clean and had a mini-fridge and microwave, which was all that I needed for a quick, overnight stay. Shower had shampoo and conditioner pump bottles. The best feature was the hot breakfast. Scrambled eggs and sausage along with the usual assortment of bread, cereal, yogurt, coffee, juice, and of course, the ubiquitous waffle irons. I especially liked that the scrambled eggs tasted 'real' to me and not like a powdered egg mix like I had at a much more expensive hotel in Anaheim just a couple weeks before. My only suggestion would be to move the waffle irons to a different station as the wait for the waffles created a long line that kept you from quickly accessing the other food options. The area around the hotel is a little confusing to navigate, but with a GPS you'll be fine. There are plenty of stores within a few blocks of the hotel and soon there'll be a 'Raising Canes' right across the street. There's also a 'park 'n ride' about a half mile from the hotel, so catching either the green or blue lines to/from downtown to see a game at Petco Park was a breeze ($1.25 each way for seniors!).

If you want a comfy bed, this is not the place. The bed felt like a piece of plywood. The room also had a nightlight that was located on the switch to the bathroom, outside of the bathroom, and they illuminated the entire room which made it difficult to sleep. Other than that, everything was great. Good location and friendly staff. They also had an excellent breakfast every morning.
