Sonder at North Loop Green delivers apartment-style stays with standout 18th-floor views and gym, a convenient location by Target Field and the light rail, and generally clean, modern spaces that many travelers find spacious and comfortable.
Guests appreciate apartment conveniences like full kitchens and in-unit laundry. Recurring drawbacks include third-party parking that can be costly or confusing and an app-based check-in that some find cumbersome; a few report train noise, light leakage, or occasional Wi-Fi, HVAC, or room-assignment issues. Expect a modern, self-service stay ideal for events near the stadium and easy transit access.

Facilities
Standout shared spaces include the 18th-floor lounge and a well-equipped gym; a rooftop pool is available seasonally. Parking is third-party, often expensive and confusing with no validation or in-out privileges, and there is no on-site bar or restaurant.

1. The price for parking is a bit ridiculous for guests. We paid $50 for 19 hours of parking. I can’t imagine if we would have stayed multiple days. Overall the space was great, clean and a lot of great amenities available. The view from the 18th floor was awesome, and the best hotel gym I have ever seen. Did not have a problem with noise at all from in the building or outside.

My visit was very nice. I enjoyed the hotel, the room, the amenities, and the location was close to everything I needed. I would say the main reason I am not giving 5-stars is because there was a lack of communication in terms of parking. The hotel doesn't validate for the attached parking structure as it's a third party, so you had to pay every time you left. And the price skyrocketed when twins games were being paid, so I had to pay that rate for 3 of the days I was there as the twins had 3 home games during my stay. Had there been better communication, it would have been fine, but I was caught off guard by the very high prices of parking.

Rooms were gorgeous and very clean. Really nice area right next to Target field. Tons of things within walking distance. Parking is expensive so I would recommend prepaying for parking and walking as much as you can. They do have a parking garage but it’s not affiliated with the hotel at all so you pay the standard rate, which when there is a Twins game going on can really add up. Once we figured out how to prepay that way much easier. The entrance to the hotel is also confusing so I would recommend asking an employee for a quick layout tour before you get settled. Overall really enjoyed our stay, had a beautiful rooftop pool and lounge area, no bar however you are able to bring your own food and drinks. Minus its few flaws I would absolutely stay there again, especially now being more familiar with the parking and layout.

The stay was good. Sonder was wonderful and prompt to answer questions and help with the parking disaster. The “hotel” is on a specific floors the rest of the building is residents and renters. It seems like as guests in other humans apartments was not a wanted thing for current residents. There were comments about “oh you are at the hotel”. It seemed like they were a little unsure of having hotel guests in their building. Parking was in fact a disaster. QR codes were unreadable and the parking staff was awful to us. Even though we paid 2 times for parking. My suggestion would be to park at Ramp B it’s $13 a day and a small walk. We spent over $140 for parking and couldn’t park or get into or even out of the parking garage without paying again. We still have not received any refunds on purchasing a 2nd ticket for $57. The floor we stayed on was 3. It really was wonderful. Very clean, large and I enjoyed the 2 bedroom unit. The website says “floor 17” is the amenities. It is actually floor 18. 17 is for tenants and requires a fab. Floor 18 was beautiful! We could walk and sit outside. Spa was beautiful! Pool area was closed for the season but equally beautiful. The hotel/apartments were doing a fire drill test on Thursday morning that lasted about 2 hours in totality. On and off intercom and fire alarm. I understand that is a requirement we also got notice so we were not surprised. But….8-9am when you are vacationing isn’t the most fun.

Sonder is unmatched! This place is in the heart of MPLS, and the 18th floor lounge, deck, rec area is incredible. We loved our 1BR unit that was very spacious and well thought out. Highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed. You are right above left field of Target Field and right next to the train.

My son and I came here for his gymnastics meet. It was AWESOME! The cleanliness, the rooms, the full kitchen, having a washer and dryer in our space, it was everything we could have asked for and more! The service was excellent, the property was in a great location and was within walking distance of many different restaurants, shops and sports stadiums.

Beautiful building and very clean, modern apartment. Right across street from Target Field and reasonable walk to downtown and North Loop restaurants. Only complaint: keypad on lobby entry door either not sensitive enough or too sensitive - lots of retry’s needed. On the other hand keypad on room door worked every time.

The property was neat and clean. The kitchen was well equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker etc. which were all almost brand new and had pots & pans and plates, cups, silverware etc. They had washer/dryer and all the cleaning supplies too. It would have been nice to have a rice cooker too. 😊 The bedroom, walk-in closet and bathroom were all neat. The lounge was beautiful with a fireplace and lots of books and had some excellent coffeemaker too. We totally enjoyed our 5 nights stay there.

This hotel was perfect for my stay in Minneapolis. Situated near Target Field, Target Center, and the light rail, I couldn't have asked for a better location. The hotel was quiet and secure and I appreciated the many amenities offered. I found the floors in the room to be a little grimy/sticky, but aside from that, everything appeared clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Minneapolis.

This was a terrible experience in the property. The check in experience is really bad. You have to use your phone to submit photos of your ID, take pictures of yourself, but the tools work poorly in accessing your phone camera. Many retries, takes a long time. When we got to the property we were assigned a room code. The code did not work reliably to get into the room. We had to wait, locked out of our room, for a half hour on a maintenance staff member to come let us into our room late at night. We were treated like morons on the phone, unable to get into our room, until they team member showed up to help us out and realized the door didn’t work properly. Customer service is god damn awful. Disinterested, poor knowledge of the property, and generally treated us when getting support like we were the problem - until it was discovered they were the problem. The room had left over lip stick on the floor from the previous occupant. Good idea. Bad execution on technology. Bad execution on support. Stay somewhere else. Spend the money on a place that will treat you well and support you properly.

The Sonder wifi provided never showed up in my networks so i had to hotspot in to work. Minor cosmetic touchups could be made: scuffs on the wall, crooked tv, but the overall comfort of Sonder NLG was amazing. Loved the keyless entry, amenities of club house, golf simulator, etc. Would stay again

Overall the building is nice. It's within walking distance to several bars/pubs, and you have a great view of the target stadium from the 18th floor if you wanted to watch a game. My only problem was that they need curtains over their windows. Their blinds they have, are see through, and the building this is attached to has lights on all night long, and it looks like it's early morning, even in the middle of the night. I woke several times in the middle of the night thinking it was 6 or 7am because it was so bright in the room with their flimsy blinds pulled down. The only close walkable place to pick up groceries or forgotten toothpaste is either Whole foods (about .5 miles) or a local market store that posts no prices, but charged $13 for toothpaste

This is a great place to stay and have a lot of space. We travelled for business and it was nice to have two bedrooms (and bathrooms!!) and working space. We had a few minor things in our room (window was left open, lamp that flickered, nothing crazy). Note that bedrooms don't have TVs (not a big deal for us, but I know some people can't sleep without one!) The virtual key worked well. Getting in the first time is a little confusing, as others had said but after the first time its fine! We enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here. We were in Minneapolis for his conference. Our room was beautiful clean, modern and spacious. It was so nice to stay at this apartment style hotel with a full kitchen. It’s right across the street from a light rail station. The blue line train took us from the airport to Target Field, the end of the line. It was very convenient since we didn’t rent a car. The hotel is within an easy walking distance to many eateries and entertainment venues, plus Whole Foods. Sonder shares the property & building with permanent residents who occupy the 8th-34th floors. Guests have access to their 18th floor flings with an incredible view of Target Field, you can watch

The AC didn't work and they sent a technician and the only thing they could do is switch the breaker on and off. They seemed to know the heat pump wasn't working and the AC would only work for about an hour which meant we woke up every night in a sweat. It got as high as 90 degrees when we were there and when we asked for another room, they only had 1-bedrooms available which wouldn't work for us. Is there any sort of partial refund you can offer as I hate asking my friend to split such an awful experience.

The only thing that kept me from giving this stay 5 stars is the annoyance of the check in process. Apparently they send you an email prior to your arrival, which requires the same amount of information needed for obtaining a passport, to them finally get a code to enter the front door of the building! Not the room, the building! And mind you we didn’t find this out until we couldn’t open the front door, which was glass and held a front desk person behind it that did not even bother to get up and open the door, rather avoided eye contact while we figured out how to download the app etc. Other than that, the room was beautiful, the location was awesome and we absolutely loved it! We were also able to get a early check in and late check out which was super helpful!

I didn't know their hours and was surprised to see them later in the evening. They said that they would text us when our room was ready, but they didn't. When we went back at 3:15, our room was ready. I could have used more interaction with them related to restaurants and a city map. There didn't seem to be anything readily available.

This was the most seamless “hotel” stay I’ve ever had. Location was perfect for my destination. Easy check-in, easy check-out, and free luggage storage so I didn’t have to lug all my stuff around town all day with a late flight. Would definitely stay with Sonder again.

It's a newer property so everything is still in good condition. there aren't a lot of great restaurants nearby. the coffee shop is good. Customer service and the front desk were really bad.

Location
Excellent for Target Field and the adjacent light-rail, and walkable to downtown venues and North Loop spots. A small number felt it is less convenient for non-stadium trips or had safety concerns around nearby garages or transit.

Nice, modern place in a good location. Just make sure you read the check-in instructions carefully and go through the separate entrance marked “Sonder” after hours or your key card won’t work.

The apartment was new, clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. The location is great, near downtown and great restaurants. The light rail station is across the street.

Second time staying at this location and it’s been amazing both times. Location across the street from Target Field was perfect for us as we were going to a ballgame. It’s also on the main Blue/Green lines for transit so you can zip around the city with ease. The full kitchen was great, especially since we were traveling with a toddler. The 18th floor common area is a great place to hang out before the game. Only negative thing about the property is the parking as you have to pay a third party to park, and the garage in the building can sellout.

Unless your trip was to see a twin’s baseball game, the hotel is out of the way for virtually everything. Also, being across the street from a light rail terminal brings some questionable characters around.

I loved the lobby — tasteful decor and it smelled great. My one-bedroom had a nice view of the city, and I even caught the fireworks show after the Twins game from the patio. I enjoyed the views from the 18th floor lounge, overlooking not only Target Field but also the whole city of Minneapolis and beyond. Sonder is right across the street from the Light Rail, to boot, which made for easy access from MSP airport. I would 100 percent recommend this place.

The place is great. It has all things that an apartment needs to have. But ...If you need to do some groceries, you need to walk a little bit. Wholefood is about 5 walks away.

It was just opposite the Target Field station, fantastically easy access to and fro the airport via Blue Line to MSP. The personnel on duty at Sonders (24h) was always so polite and helpful. I came early and had no problem leaving the bags in storage while waiting for room. The lobby area is like a home environment which made it so comfortable. There was free coffee from a dispenser. The whole room was spacious. Kitchen was fully equipped. The place was so clean and comfortable. I will definitely look for Sonder in the future.
