Beer bottles left on the porch with cigarettes inside, beer left in fridge that maid eventually took and lots of locals using the pool without being a guest. They had their company party which is great for the staff, but we had to find other places to go to, no mention of this when booking.

Check in was a breeze with great customer service. Property is clean, coffee machine in the lobby made delicious coffe (various flavors all at no cost). The food at the various restaurants is all very tasty and fresh. Nightly entertainment and happy hour also a plus. In addition, you can rent bikes or kayaks and you get a discount for being a guest. We did the kayaks at 10am for a 2 hour tour and the family had a great time. Watching the sunrise was also stunning. Highly reccomend it, and we will be back in the future

Great stay: clean resort, courteous and friendly staff, food was great and very reasonable, entertainment was terrific! Pool was inviting and clean! We did the pontoon 2 hour trip which was informative and entertaining. We were not on the beach. Definitely worth the stay!

FUN - this is the place for fun. They let you park your boat/jetski on site if needed. The Ramp is 1/4 mile away. The bar at Capitan Hyrams is AWESOME, and there are like 8 other bars in walking distance.

The front desk folks were nice & accommodating. The house keeping staff did not vacuum my room for the entire 5 days we were there. On my 4th day at 3:45pm I called the front desk & explained that the room had not been cleaned, no clean towels, the trash not removed. When the staff member came I happened to be there. She slipped a post card under the door stating "Sorry I missed you". What do they need me there for to clean. I opened the door and she happened to be talking to the women next door. I said I am her & my room still needs cleaning. Her response was "oh - can you just put the trash cans in the hallway.... I said "No - I'm on vacation & your coming in to clean anyway!" She never vacuumed, cleaned the bathroom. I did let Erin at the front desk know when I was leaving.

The room was nice but we stayed a week the floors were never swept or moped over the entire stay. The bed linen was wasn`t changed. We found the pool was small for the amount of guest. For a couple of days we on our stay we couldn`t find a seat by the pool. All and all not the worst. We stayed there because we are checking the area for possible to call home.

Everything was great and cleaned. Only issue was when we got back around 11 pm there was a cockroach in the hall that ran toward my feet. When we opened the door it ran in and I had to squish it. But, I still think it is very clean and would stay there again.

Average hotel forvthe price. VERY LOUD. CAN HEAR EVERYTHING FROM THE NEARBY ROOMS. Including people making a racket at 2:00AM. Couldn't get back to sleep. NO breakfast. Only small item's that they overcharge for. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, as there are a lot more around thatvare better, for less money.

We were only at Captain Hyram’s for one night. But, we enjoyed our stay very much. The room was spotless, and appeared to have been recently renovated. The furnishings were stylish, with calming colors. Plus, the mattress and pillows were perfect. I’d like to be able to purchase that exact mattress.

This was the most inhospitable hotel check in experience i have ever had. I knowingly arrived early (10:55a), and as a handicapping person asked to be put on a priority waitlist for the first available room. This was gladly accepted and i was second on their list. At 12:30 I called and wheeled my self back to the desk to see if something was available and was told flatly that their rule was 4pm check in, period, and that they would call whenever the room was ready. I had spoken to both the day clerk and desk manager, and offered to pay an additional charge. There never was any call. I went back to the desk around 4p and was told the room had been ready for a while. This spitefulness by the front desk was obvious, and the unforgiving attitude of the front desk towards a handicapped person is not forgivable on my part. I'm sure they have their opinions because they made sure to let me know who's in charge, but this is my opinion and i wont be back. p.s. I recently retired as a travel professional after 27 years.

The place show was amazing. The staff was terrific. We were early in our room wasn’t ready, but they asked for our number and actually called and told us when the room was ready. They let us know we could use the amenities while we wait. We had a beautiful room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and friendly staff throughout the facilities. We had dinner by the intercoastal and enjoyed the night at the sandbar. We had been to Sebastian many times but our first time at Captain Hiram’s we will be back.

Front desk staff was generally well trained in regards to basic booking procedures but were unable to provide any specific details about their security deposit procedures and how they go about returning your deposit. I still have not received a $100 deposit and a $50 deposit from two separate reservations. after calling and speaking with another defensive and apathetic front desk staff member, I was told that the monies were to be returned after 72 hours and was denied any further explanation as to why I still have not received the deposits after almost 10 days and 7 phone calls. Poor customer service and multiple procedure/policy inconsistencies. Train your frontline team or outsource to someone who can. Good Customer service = return clientele.

The hotel and staff were superb. We came back to this resort because we enjoyed it so much last year. We also were looking forward to dining in their restaurant which was exceptional last year. Absolutely outstanding resort, room and staff. I was greeted by two.of the most upbeat and friendly front desk staff that I have ever met. When I mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary, they put us in a beautiful room w a water view balcony, and separate living room. The room was gorgeous and super clean, as was the entire resort. The facilities are amazing, w great waterfront bars and restaurants. 10 out of 10 stars. We will definitely be back.

What a jem! We really enjoyed our time at Captain Hirams. Blackfins had great service and good food. We particularly enjoyed our breakfast. The bar staff was friendly and fun. We did have an issue with our room but the staff took care of us immediately. Our room was clean, large, and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. We will return.
