Very clean. Very nice and professional staff. Easy to access from the interstate. Parking was limited and parking lot was not well lit at night. Noise from the interstate. Still gave it an excellent rating. Would stay here again.

Love this hotel! Very clean and with excellent staff from the front desk to the cleaners. They serve breakfast in the morning which consists of sausage, eggs, waffles. As well as cold items like muffins and cereal. Theres just 2 negatives I would give. I was in need of a laundry room and theres was out of order/none available. The other being the location of the hotel. Its on a very busy 1 way street. God help you if you miss the turn into the parking lot. You will easily spend another 20 min if not longer trying to turn around then to go back the way you just came. Yet its still 5 stars from me!

Very close to highway, can hear the traffic all night. Room is clean and large. Decent breakfst choices. Electric chargers were not working with no way of knowing this before arrival (doesnt show upcpn ev charging apps) . Had to find another place to charge

We stayed 3 nights, not once did housekeeping enter our room! Now listen I wasn’t looking for fresh sheets everyday or mints on my pillows but we complained the first day that no towels were replaced or trash emptied we had to go to front desk to get trash bags and towels. We were told to just put dirty towels and trash outside our door. I hate doing that because then they can say we stole towels and charge my card.

Filthy elevators,itchy sheets. I changed rooms because my nasty tub bottom was flaking off. Tub in new room was dirty and in need if reglazing or replacement. Only bright spot was Nick at front desk. Very sweet. Only person who greeted me and he tried to help with new room

Wonderful staff! Everyone was so nice and helpful. However, the room reeked of something awful. A cross between cigarette smoke and industrial cleaner. Gave me a headache in an hour. Asked around and this occurred in more than our room. Hopefully, they rectify this

We checked in seamless, our blankets were stained through all the way to the mattress. We called the front desk to change rooms and offered us a different type of room… then gave us new sheets that were the wrong size for the bed. After we talked to the front desk who told us they would help us the next morning, when we got to the fro t desk the next morning the front desk told us “I can’t do anything about this” after showing him pictures of what happened. He then told us “you can try to call tomorrow a see If you can speak to the manager” giving us a card. Would not recommend again

Great location quick to get to the NJ Turnpike and short trip to Mancini’s Pizza. Great room, quiet, and loved having a nightlight in the bathroom. My only suggestion is to have an extra grab bar on the wall in the shower.

I called the hotel in the afternoon to advise I’d be arriving very late. No problem, I was told. They’d let the front desk know. Well, 3am I get a call that they’ve cancelled my reservation, before I could reply that I was 15 minutes away. Thankfully they didn’t give away my room. They reinstated the reservation. Room was slightly above my expectations. Bed was comfortable. The noise, however, from the NJ Turnpike was incessant. Good thing I was exhausted and could sleep through it, because normally I would not have found that possible.

Room was fine, the staff is very helpful and accommodating. Overall ambiance is not of a five star hotel. The Internet was so slow that it was unusable. We stayed for nights and I had to use my own device to connect to the Internet. I could not use the hotel Internet for my work conference calls.

I regularly stay at the Best Western Rutgers University Hotel several times a year when visiting relatives. While not a "luxury" hotel, it is clean, safe, and more then comfortable. I recommend this hotel highly. It is reasonably priced, and the staff is always helpful and friendly. That there is a restaurant right next door (you don't even have to go outside to switch from one building to the other and back) is a huge plus for a non-driver like me who would otherwise have to rely on car service to eat elsewhere.

Overall hotel is good, really clean. The staff is really helpful and hotel policies are really good, flexible. For example I paid for 4 nights when we got there but had to leave early and only used two nights and they reimbursed the difference. Is a good hotel for a short stay. They do not have cribs for babys, is the only complaint i have from my stay.

The hotel itself is clean, beds are decently comfortable (except for pillows - gave me a headache). Heater/ cooler seems broken: Room felt 90 degrees when we checked in although thermostat showed 61 degrees. We had to run air conditioning (in december) to keep it cool enough to sleep. It still showed it was set at 61, but at least cool air was coming out. My biggest issue was breakfast. We came down at 9.45 and there was no food left and the place was a disaster - food all over counters and floor. I asked the food attendant and she said: "Its busy and I am working by myself". No apology, just defensive. I told the guy at reception to which he just shrugged and directed me back to food attendant. So they technically do serve hot breakfast, but we did not get to eat. And reception did not seem to care at all about our bad experience. Would never stay here again.

Terrible Experience – Money Stolen & Zero Accountability - DONT EVER STAY HERE I stayed at the Best Western Rutgers Hotel and discovered after returning home that $75 USD had been stolen from my bag. I reported it to the hotel and was told someone would investigate and call me back. No one ever did. When I followed up myself, the front desk staff (Luke) dismissed my concern, implied I’d “left the money somewhere else,” and told me to file a police report , even after I explained I’m not a U.S. resident. No transparency, no investigation shared, no accountability. I’ve stayed at hotels around the world and have never experienced theft or such unprofessional, defensive customer service. This was my first time staying at a Best Western and likely my last.

The only thing that I would offer as a suggestion is to dispose of the Nescafé coffee etc machine and buy carafes for coffee. The coffee was horrible! The coffee in the little packets in the rooms was much better.

Pleasant front desk staff. Nice breakfast in the morning. Waffle stations and hot foods along with juices, coffee and cereals. The pillows were all very soft and we would have liked firmer options. Easy access to Turnpike, Rt 18 and Rt 1. Less than 1 mile from bus transit to NYC. Highly recommend.

The room was clean and cozy. However the beds were a little too firm for my liking. Wish they were a lot softer. But that's my preference. However the breakfast was very good and was one of the reasons why we chose it. The highway noise was a little bit much though however we understand there's not much they can do about that
