What guests think

At La Quinta by Wyndham Coeur d`Alene, travelers consistently praise friendly, accommodating staff, clean and spacious rooms, a large 24/7 pool and hot tub, and a generally satisfying hot breakfast with good variety at this convenient, quiet location.

Common downsides include a hard-to-find entrance with limited signage, occasional Wi‑Fi or TV hiccups, and mixed comfort feedback on mattresses and pillows. A few guests also noted sporadic maintenance or cleanliness misses and intermittent pool or hot tub temperature or closure issues, though most facilities were appreciated. Overall, expect a comfortable, pet friendly stay with solid amenities in a convenient but slightly tricky-to-access spot.

This property has a fabulous pool and hot tub and workout room. The hotel was very clean. We found them a little lacking in what they offered in the room as far as no lotion no Conditioner. Location is a little odd and that you have to drive through a bunch of close businesses to get to their parking lot.

Carpet was ripped in places. Furniture falling apart. Ceiling had something sprayed all over it like soda or some other liquid.

Room was okay but AC wasn’t working one night and apparently the a breaker was off. The kids were super excited about the pool, we got in the first day and there was a lot of sand inside the pool and also a lot of long chunks of hair in the water. Staff was friendly and responded quickly when we needed assistance.

It's okay. A no frills for sure. I was unimpressed that the toilet was not cleaned and had urine on the seat and clearly no scrubbed in the bowl. The walls have some kind of paint smeared on them from when they painted the ceiling last and that looks terrible. The pros are that its a spacious room and has a nice counter space to do makeup. It was has a comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast looked nice, but I didn't feel like eating it so I can't say exactly how it is. They have those waffle makers and eggs and sausage and bagels and such. I think I'll try another place next time though. The lady at the front desk was nice. Oh, there was a dog barking at 7am that was pretty loud. It's pet friendly, so I'm sure its good for pet owners. We did have a neighboring room the reeked of weed, so that was nice, lol. Next time I'll do the Marriot or something.

I really liked this hotel and the woman you checked me in was amazing. However, the next morning I needed to do some work and I was unable to connect to the WiFi. While most nights it was fine, both the Friday and Saturday night were noisy with the doors closing. I was in room 202. I have always stayed here and it's usually a great stay. It is hard to get to as you have to drive through a parking lot for access. The front desk help, LeAnn was amazing and very helpful. I am very upset with the manager Tim, as I was charged as pending for each night and double charged pending $918.04 when I checked out on Sunday, August 18th. My charge of $918.04 for the 4 nights did post on August 18. There is still a pending charge of $918.04 on my credit card on 8-23-2024. I was actually triple charged for my stay as pending on my credit card on 8-18-24. I have called both Expedia and the hotel. Expedia told me the holds were from the hotel. Tim is the manager and doesn't seem as this is an issue as it still has not been released. Having a triple hold on my credit card is unacceptable. I have asked Tim to call me directly and he has not. It's usually a great place to stay, with great staff. Triple charging as a hold on my credit card is unacceptable.

I had gotten reservations through Expedia however my card was not going through. I called the reservations desk and asked them to look at the booking. They said there was no reservation for me. I stayed in St. Regis instead of going to Coeur d'Alene.I saw in my emails that I was in fact, booked there. However, the reservationist had already charged my card and then said that there were no rooms available. I stayed in St. Regis and I go to Coeur d'Alene on Saturday to stay that night. Since I did not show up on the previous night, they were not able to reenstate the booking so I could not stay there either. I tried to get in touch with Expedia to cancel the reservation so I could stay there, without success.

Breakfast was a hot mess - not enough food, grumpy staff. People were going crazy - we left and didn't deal with it after standing around with no milk, no eggs, no sausage, no water.... I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on the breakfast with the ongoing illegal and unconstitutional ICE roundups of hard working people. Room was clean, decent size, no complaints about the actual room. Good Parking - though it's weird that you drive through multiple parking lots and past abandoned buildings to get to the hotel. The Mon-Wed day front desk lady was not friendly - saw multiple interactions with people that were not good, she was rude/annoyed at every request. Sunday night guy was awesome. Would not stay here again.

Once I finally found my way to the hotel, it was great. The hotel is situated at the back of a parking lot behind a closed restaurant that’s surrounded by weeds and a couple semi trucks. I saw no signs indicating access to the front of the hotel so it took some driving around the large lot to figure out how to get to the front office. Hotel room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The gentleman who helped with check-in that evening was fabulous…courteous and efficient. Breakfast was good and dining area was clean. Check out the next morning was quite different. I checked out at the front desk just before 8am and the woman at the desk made me feel that I was bothering her and was not friendly in the least. Did not appreciate that at all.

The hotel looks OK and room it's clean and spacious. Still we paid for breakfast and it's awful. Out of 7 days, only on 3 days they have food when we got down (around 7:45am-8:00am). It was only one person that was bringing the food and we asked the front desk but they said other 2 people that supposed to work they called in sick and that person it's alone. First time we said OK, this things happen to all hotels, but we had 4 days out of 7 days, that not acceptable. For sure I don't recommend this hotel for the breakfast choice. Last year we stayed to a different hotel across the street and was ten times better with the breakfast. They had more choices and always was enough food. Here they have: scrambled eggs or omelet, potatoes and sausages or bacon. Some days they bring yogurt, but not all the time. So basically only 3 choices. They also they have waffle machines (2 of those) but always a long line. They close the doors at 9am even people waiting for them to bring food. For sure I'll not stay here again, so many other hotels in the area.

Beautiful interior. The breakfast was the best included breakfast we had at any hotel for the past week. Good selection, quality, and great seating area. The staff were constantly restocking items. Very well run operation! Our room was spacious and clean. It also had the best mattress of the week in my opinion. My only complaint would be the quality of soap and shampoo items and that when they renovated the interior they left the old bathroom fixtures. They just didn’t fit with everything else being so nice. We also enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and exercise room. The property is located at the far end of a parking lot next to a closed down Shari’s restaurant. Not a convenient walking location.
