How did this dump get ratings of10 ??? It’s outdated, poor appearance in both exterior and interior areas. There are units for residents or long term. There landscaping vehicles and equipment in the parking lot. You’re lucky if you find a space to safely park your rental. Beware if you get a 3rd floor there is no lift system. I was pleased to find a superb restaurant for breakfast; they have limited service times and meal types of service. And they get swamped for breakfast service but you can do take out. It’s only 250 ft away. That’s about the most positive feedback I can give and the nightly rate.

The room was very clean and reasonably priced, though it was old and some things were pretty shabby. Our room wasn't ready till 1.5 hours after check-in time. There is no ice nor coffee maker, but it does have a microwave and fridge. Also no hair dryer. Internet was spotty. The shower diverter didn't work well, so a lot of water was wasted and I used a cup to get enough water to rinse off well. The bed is firm. The tub/shower is narrow, so the shower curtain is on you, but it was very clean, so not gross. There are no grab bars and the toilet is really low, so not really easy for older folks.

Not my first choice. It is a step down from a motel 6. They don't provide any shampoo and the hand soap dried my hands. If you want cheap place to sleep with no amenities then this is the place for you. Even the TV is small and not a big selection of stations to watch

Stayed two times in one week. Clean, easy to get to and lots of places to eat and shop on San Pablo. For the price point this place is one of the better places. Perfect for the night. Area seemed safe, parking was easy and front desk staff friendly. Will be staying again as we come to the city for Dr appointments.

I stayed for a week so I would have appreciated a better room from the start. Management did not swap me out to a top floor room until I asked for the second day in a row. Hello, I am contacting you regarding my recent stay at Terrace Inn Suites from 9/3/25 to 9/22/25. I woke up with multiple bites on my body (see attached photos). I raised this with the property, but their only response on 9/23/25was that they “checked the bed.” That does not change the fact that I suffered bites during my stay. I have one on the back of my neck where my hair is located. I am requesting a full refund of my stay and compensation for the damages. If not resolved promptly, I will escalate this through Hotels.com, my bank, and the local health department

Really, for a motel this cheap, what you want is clean sheets and no bed bugs. And this room and clean sheets and no bed bugs. So to that end I think it's probably worth the price. That said, the carpet was extremely gross and left a horrific musty smell on any skin or cloth that touched it. So, they could probably stand to vacuum more. Like, a lot more. I asked them to vacuum the room and noticed little things on the floor which indicated that they definitely didn't. But, again, it's pretty cheap, so maybe just bring slippers? Footsteps above were pretty loud too.

I was pleasantly surprised by this modest motel. I was traveling on a budget and not expecting much. But the place was clean, safe, and friendly. My room had a view of the Berkeley Hills, and there is a wonderful natural grocer within walking distance. This place is an excellent option for basic affordable lodging.

It was quiet and the location was good. The bed was comfortable. My room was in bad shape, the sink very damaged, the TV screen full of fuzzy lines, couldn't switch from bathtub to shower, often not enough hot water to fill the tub. The pillows so lumpy and thick that I had to buy a pillow, and blanket too thin to turn the heat off at night. No shampoo, no cup to heat water in microwave.... Other than that.

I mean I know it's a budget hotel but the condition of this hotel was bad even by motel standards. For starters the moment we entered the room this overpowering smell of cigarette smoke consumed us. The bathroom door looked like it had been punched. The sink looked like it's never been changed from the 80s. The shower controls were broken. The carpet had stains the mattresses were gross and hard. Will never come back

DON'T STAY HERE!!! Got into room later in day already cleaned no reason for staff to re-enter room. When we returned noticed someone was in our room why??. Went to office for extra towel(wife uses 2) would've give us one. Inquired about room entry. Manager said someone complained about water dripping. B.S.!! paid for 3 nights only stayed 1. Manager said he would refund 1 or 2 days.HE didn't. No way I'd stay another day. Management and hotel very sketchy
