Vail's Mountain Haus at the Covered Bridge

What guests think

Travellers choose Vail's Mountain Haus at the Covered Bridge for its central Vail Village setting that is walkable to Gondola One, restaurants and buses, and for consistently friendly, accommodating staff who help with requests and make check-in easy.

Guests enjoy the pool and hot tubs, spa and steam facilities, and the on-site bar The George, plus lobby coffee and cookies. Condos are generally spacious with kitchens and some nice views, but units vary by owner; a few standard rooms feel small or dated. Common trade-offs are the lack of air conditioning (some report hot rooms), occasional noise from the pool or nearby buses and highway when windows are open, and off-site parking that can be costly. Expect a convenient, village-center stay with welcoming service and solid amenities if location matters most to you.

I love this hotel! It’s in the perfect location, right in Vail Village. Parking is easily accessible and not as much as others have reported. I believe it was $35 a day. The hotel offers complimentary “Starbucks like” drinks all day long in their lobby from a fancy machine. You can save there to make up for parking costs!! We also loved the pool and hot tub as well (hot tub both indoors and outdoors). It was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway!

This property was amazing. My girls were in town from college and we wanted a weekend away together. This hotel and location was amazing. The pool & hot tub was beautiful & relaxing, the spa was an added bonus. The best part was The George (restaurant located in the basement of the hotel). Food, service and atmosphere was delightful. We were so delightfully surprised at this gem of a place. Super kind welcome at the desk, a very comfortable stay right in the middle of everything, a cool pool on a hot day, kitchen, good exercise room, and more. Definitely a great place to stay.

The location was perfect. However, when I booked I wasn’t informed that they don’t have parking. I’ve stayed in several places in Vail Village all with parking availability. This hotel does not have any parking so you’re forced to park in the overnight parking garage at Vail Village… $60 per night.

I found the rate to be quite high for what the room was like...and the fact it faced I-70 so it was loud. The room was totally clean. But dated. Also, have to pay for parking which is an additional fee I didn't realize I'd incur until check in. Would I stay again? Only if I don't find something more updated even if it's a bit more expensive.

This hotel has a great location. Like many hotels in Vail, it has no central AC so you have to sleep with the windows open. This can be a problem when you are on the front of the building which faces the Vail parking lot and the highway but other than a few loud 18 wheelers, we survived. The staff was great and the maid service was fantastic. Our unit was just a bit tired-the carpet, rugs, etc. but overall nice for the price we paid. I did have some trouble working the stupid ROKU TV! Would stay again.

If staying over the pool, then be prepared of lots of noise from people in the pool due to no AC and have to keep all the doors and windows open. It was so loud we could not hear the TV even turned up. I said something to the front desk and she just said am sorry. I should give one star, but it was a very nice place and we like Vail a lot, but being over the pool we will never again.

The units do not have air conditioning and so we had to sleep with the balcony door open with a box fan running all night. This is a TINY room with very thin walls. I figured out while I was there this room is one of the bedrooms that belongs to a larger, two story condo within this building. You enter one door from the hallway into a foyer shared with two rooms on that level plus the rest of the condo upstairs. Despite what Expedia says, there was no microwave, only a tiny fridge, so there’s no way to make a hot breakfast. The room was way too hot and the two thermostats in the room didn’t change anything. In the room I could hear the neighbors in the room next door and sales people walking potential buyers through the foyer. This was a VERY uncomfortable place to stay and I DO NOT recommend it to anyone unless you like throwing money away and not getting any sleep. The only positive is the location.

We have stayed at Mountain Haus several times and always find the condos spacious and the best value for the fantastic location right in Vail Village. The condos vary in decor and finishes, but we usually prefer a unit on the mountain side with views of the creek and gorgeous Vail Mountain. Full kitchens, comfy beds, a pool and a really awesome staff make this a gem among the pricey condos and hotel rooms of Vail.

We did so I called back and she stated we never had one and wanted to charge me for a rollaway…finally got rollaway at no charge(?)…we paid for an actual bed! Bad customer service from front desk. Patrick who finally helped with rollaway was awesome! Patrick needs a raise. Front desk does not! And a full refund would be perfect!

Very good location to the Gondola and the village. Clean and in good condition. Great coffee option in the lobby! A wonderful welcoming gift. Someone always available to assist at the front desk. A couple of minor things: the heat. No way to control it on your own. It’s set to 67 but it goes up to 74. The only way to bring it down is to open the window. Very thin walls.
