Oscar Hotel in Pinole

What guests think

Across recent reviews, Oscar Hotel is praised for friendly, accommodating staff, generally clean and comfortable rooms, and a convenient, quiet location near Sea-Tac Airport with a reliable airport shuttle and easy access to shopping and dining.

Guests also highlight a good fitness room. Common drawbacks include the removed pool, limited or closed on-site restaurant/bar, and paid parking. Some report inconsistencies such as ants or a bed bug incident, maintenance quirks, firm beds, loud HVAC, and not all rooms having microwaves. Overall, expect a convenient airport stay with solid basics and some facility trade-offs.

Property eliminated pool and hot tub. Has a 2 tier internet access so for business there is an extra charge. Overpriced, lacking in facilities and a nickel and dime operation overall.

The room and property were clean and well maintained. It felt very comfortable. Close to everything. Only downside is this property used to have a pool but it no longer does but still has it listed that it does, wish they’d be able to clear that up as it felt misleading. Other than that, great stay.

Stayed here before and that's why I booked this time. I am sad and disappointed at the stained bedsheets and damp towels. Cards do not work well at the side entrances and we had to take multiple tries to get the door open. Otherwise, it's a good hotel but the cleanliness is way below standard for this stay.

Ant infestation in our room. Even though the hotel had given another family we were with a comped night on a trip for the similar reason 16 months ago. They weren’t willing to do the same for us. The GM claimed he was on a conference call instead of talking to me. Terrible service unclean hotel. Ants were all over the couch bed my son and I slept on the first night before we changed rooms without any offer of assistance by hotel staff.

Our stay was very nice and the front desk, check-in, and employees were very friendly and helpful. This Marriott is an older hotel, and could use a little updating. A few more places for charging stations in the room, and maybe a little TLC with the decor. Very clean, bathroom and a great shower, and shampoo’s, conditioner and body soap. I’m not sure what the room cleaning days are, but after day 2 and asking for extra cleans towels, our room was cleaned every day.

The hotel was clearly an old property they tried to upgrade it. The room are not great, the TV faces sideways making you lay on your side to watch it. The lights in the bathroom are very dim, makes it difficult to shave. The chair used for the desk feels like I was sitting on hardwood. The glass shower door kept opening as it was not flat therefore the floor might be uneven.
