SpringHill Suites by Marriott Chula Vista Eastlake

What guests think

At SpringHill Suites by Marriott Chula Vista Eastlake, travelers highlight modern, very clean spaces, a convenient Eastlake setting near shops and dining, and family-friendly amenities like a heated pool and hot tub that make stays relaxed and easy.

Rooms are generally spacious and comfortable with useful desks plus in-room fridges and microwaves, though a few guests reported firm or unsupportive beds, awkward bathroom designs with bright motion-sensor lights, or minor maintenance issues. Service is widely praised for friendliness and efficiency, but there are occasional complaints about slow or inconsistent help, miscommunication on late checkout or breakfast times, and rare housekeeping lapses. Breakfast often earns high marks for variety and waffles, yet some guests found items cold or in short supply. Expect a comfortable base with mostly smooth stays and a few fixable hiccups.

Booking was easy on hotels.com. Price was better than the hotel website. Check-in a breeze as the lobby is brightly lit and they have self use carts to carry luggage. Front desk attendant was friendly, informative, check in took 3 minutes which is always the best when you just want to get into your room. And the smell of the lobby instantly puts you in a dream! Pure luxury! After a long hard day, the bar in the lobby was open and I was able to grab a drink to take up to my room. Room was impeccably clean, and set up to perfection with the desk dividing the room from a little seating area with an extremely large couch one could easily sleep on, but it also becomes an extra bed if needed. Lighting in the room is warm and relaxing. Bed linens new and fresh. Stand up shower has the greatest smelling products to use and the shampoo had my hair so shiny! It was spa-like. The amenities of the hotel are as if you are in a luxury hotel. Pool is gorgeous and had lush greenery surrounding it. Heated! And the surrounding area is gorgeous for a meet-up for business or friends and feels like you are in a tropical paradise. Elevators always had one elevator with doors open waiting on ground floor for ease! This is such a great touch for hotels to do. When all you want to do is get to your room. Gym on the second floor was a great size, ac blasting. All new machinery and weights. Included breakfast on point and the waffles are the best I ever had!! Can’t say enough good about this hotel!

Staff though had a bad experience with bartender and also front desk the guy told me he would call once my room was ready to check in and he never did. Then to check out we rented 3 rooms and two of those rooms family members were able to check out late but they didn’t let me which was weird. But hotel was clean and coffee omg to die for

All was great when we arrived but somehow our room started to smell. The next morning it smelled like sewage in the room. We were able to move to a different room which was great. The lights in the bathroom with motion censor are blinding in the middle of the night. If there was a dimmer that would be amazing. Shower door somehow left a pool of water on floor as well. Even in the original room.

Really beautiful hotel on the lobby and halls. We had a King bed; and it was an uncomfortable one. Pillows were too soft that they gave us stiffed necks. Previous customer red hair were all over the shower walls... small room. Work space/desk is a plus for those working on the go, fridge and microwave in the room too.

We didn't have a properly functioning toilet. It wouldn't flush and had to be plunged if it was used. We wete handed a plunger and that's it. Honestly pretty gross, especially for an overall nice hotel. I would expect more from a $300+ hotel.

Guest service agents rude, very nosey. Screening calls for a guest and stating it is Springhill suites company policy. No it is not it is this property only. Breakfast ran out of food every day on the weekend staff should be made aware of occupancy so they can cook plenty. Staff in the Breakfast area should be smiling and at least fake that they like their job. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Eastlake. Just based on the guest service alone. Manager Sammy Chapmin definitely didn't seem to concerned either.

I stayed with my husband and our two young daughters. The lobby was very neat, clean, and smelled absolutely amazing. Prior to our arrival, the staff kindly set up a crib for our baby which set the tone for our evening. Things just moved so smoothly having a place to place our baby while we freshened up and got dressed. We took our older daughter to play at Sky Zone, a trampoline park just across the street, but there are two additional fun place for kids in the same center. After, we had dinner at the Mexican restaurant which was just okay. The following morning we went down to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. My husband and I enjoyed the egg and cheese sandwiches and our daughter was delighted to make her own waffles. The hotel is a few minutes from Sesame Place making the drive quick and easy. We had a great stay and I highly recommend this location.
