Extended Stay America Suites - San Jose - Edenvale - North

Right from the start it began bad. First, they don’t tell you that there is a north one and a south extended stay one has a pool and a gym one doesn’t I book the one that I thought had the pool in the gym but that was not the case and even though they’re right next to each other, they do not interact together.. when my boyfriend went to take a shower, we had no towels when I went up to the desk and asked about them I was told to check back in 20 minutes they were in the dryer! so after 40 minutes and still no towels, I went up and asked for them again only to be looked at like I didn’t know what I was talking about. Why did I need towels? they do not provide any kind of toiletries whatsoever. As far as their free breakfast goes if you don’t mind brown water for coffee and the worst mini muffins you could taste then you’ll be happy with your breakfast I would never ever recommend staying here.!

Upon arrival room was clean. There wa sno bad odor. Linen on bed was clean and appeared washed. Towels were also clean. Air conditioner in unit. Luckily only stayed one night. Check in did take long for no real reason. Upside is free parking.

Had a pleasant stay. Basic services and amenities. Received a descent rate at pet friendly hotel.

The price was reasonable, the room was nice, and there was plenty of parking. Unfortunately, the front desk wasn't adequately staffed...i waited 5 minutes before someone showed up to give me shampoo, which wasn't provided unless you ask for it at the desk. Overall, it was a good stay, but it would have been better if shampoo was provided without having to go to the front desk to get it.

Place was ok to sleep but nothing special about it. Still has popcorn ceiling, no coffee in room, no shampoo or lotion, no blow dryer, etc. not convenient but we were able to sleep. Pet friendly was a plus!

I enjoyed every bit of our 4 days there. The minor mention was a different type of of shower curtain and wish there was an ice machine and breatter breakfast option but over all COOL 😎 big shout out to BRYAN ❤️

I love that we were able to rest comfortably. The only suggestion we have is that you take care of the smell from the back where people exit from the stairs. It smells horrible (urine and whatnot).

Great free parking and very many open spaces. Everything else was pretty poor. Reception was lukewarm. Room was below average in cleanliness (the floor carpet was sticky) The bathroom - 1/5. Tiny tub/ shower area, no hooks or racks for clothes or towels to be hung, no dustbin - wow! Just so poorly designed! Will never come back.

Long check in process (Oddly, TWO Extended Stay facilities next door to each other, but not affiliated ???, so had to walk in pouring rain to other building .......) Elevator not working to 3rd floor No dishes etc for kitchen. (thus, had to take all kids and go downstairs ask at front desk) Phone not working, EVEN to call front desk! TV not working, no one showed to fix til 9 am next morn 'Breakfast' 6-9 am, however MOST items GONE by 7am, "nothing more available" was answer to, may we have more muffins/juice. Disapointing, for the PRICE and promised amenities.

We stayed in room 122. The room was not that clean. There was a stain on one of the window shades that looked like blood. The furniture looked old and outdated, but the biggest issue was the cockroaches. I saw one big one in the kitchen and few small baby ones in the bathroom. The fridge kept making loud noises at night which kept waking me. Would never stay here again. They need to get pest control out there ASAP.

Booked 3 night stay but left after only a few hours because we discovered bed bugs.

My 7 day stay here was horrible they did not clean our room nor changed our towels bed sheets in our room we literally had to wash them ourselves. Very poor service I do not recommend staying here

I guess you get what you pay for stayed in a room full of black mold very ins itery toilet clogged up and sick none to help front desk no help had to go buyplu get. O sponge dish soap was there two weeks had to ask to get room cleaned they stated only clean after two weeks. O towels for face you take out your own garbage and trade in towels at front desk worst experience ever so glad I'm out

Dirty nasty carpet. Cockroachs. Hallway looks like the project apartments. They would not give clean towels unless you take the dirty ones to the front desk. Bathroom tub is rusted. I thought extended stay hotels were nice! I was wrong

The key card didn't work for the 1st room (it happens). The 2nd room had trash bags everywhere like they didn't finish cleaning. The 3rd room was clean except for the bathroom where there was still feces in the toilet. The 4th room was clean finally but I soon smelled pet urine in corner. By this time I was thoroughly exhausted from driving all day and moving rooms that I just dealt with it. I would later see cockroaches crawling around. This was truly an awful experience.

Disgusting. We felt icky just being there. The room was dirty, there was garbage piled just a few doors down from our room, there was a pile of bloody napkins in the elevator. No cookware, flatware or dishes in the room. We did not stay. Immediately left and went elsewhere. No refund Gross! Avoid!

Our first morning there, Mr daughter spotted roaches crawling nest the bathroom door. E were able to move rooms, which we did that morning. After running errands all day, we come back to the room for the first time to see very tiny roaches in the bathroom in our second room. I didn’t feel like moving dinner I’m pregnant and figured it must be a building thing.

Check in took forever, we were told that they wouldn’t have a double room ready for another 45 minutes to an hour (we checked in a little after 3:30 pm). The”lobby” was full of boxes and appliances that were still in their packages, the hallway smelled dingy and dirty. When we got into the room we immediately regretted booking here! Everything there was old, dirty and damaged. The bathroom sink was full of dirty water that wouldn’t drain, the shelf under the sink was broken revealing the drywall, the single pain window was left open, there was no hand soap, dish soap, shampoo or conditioner. Several of the outlets didn’t work. We didn’t even attempt to use the stove or microwave because there was no pots, pans or plates. There wasn’t even a coffee maker! We’ve stay at several Extended Stays and have NEVER had any issues or complaints. This property was more like a motel, it appeared that most of the rooms were occupied by people who were in between homes, who were living there. The walls are paper thin and after we woke up we noticed a HUGE black spider just above one of the beds. To think that spider could have been crawling on our kids completely grosses me out! Thank god we were only in town for 1 day, anything longer than that would have made us cancel and book somewhere else.

It was very run-down and the rooms seemed stripped bare. I didn't even have a shower curtain when i got there. Guests have to ask at the front desk for everything. My neighbors had a party next door and were very loud. The mattress was so old that it sloped drastically to one side. "Breakfast" is a joke. I woke really early, left, and grabbed a bite at the Starbucks across the street.

I would like to see plastic drink cups included and possibly plastic utensils as well, but it is not my job to do that

This is a very poor example of the Extended Stay brand. I was very disappointed. The stove did not work, there were no amenities in the room. If you wanted dishes or a coffeepot you had to go to the front desk to get them. The stairs smelled like urine and the hallways reeked of garbage. It was literally a single step up from a no-tell motel

Tons of noise outside until about 12am, no shampoo or the likes. Fridge was also so noisy I had to unplug it.

I would not stay here ever again. No chair for desk. The stove heating plates were disassembled when we arrived. The sofa was broken and unusable. Stains on the ceiling. I called the front desk 4 or 5 times before I was able to speak to a human being and ask for more pillows.

The person older man checking us in was rude and we asked to be close to each other or at least on the same floor and he didn’t do anything for us my sister booked 2 rooms and he gave them to her on two separate floors and it wasn’t because it was full

The staff went above and beyond with accommodations and made sure all needs were met in a quick, friendly mannerb

Everything is perfect staff work with me when I told them that I needed a bigger room and they did help me thank you so much

It's hard to choose the worst thing about this hotel. Was it the fact that front desk staff was courteous but nearly impossible to get ahold of? Was it the fact that you get the room, and nothing else - and if you want toiletries or kleenex or dishes you have to go try to get the attention of a front desk person? Don't bother calling, they won't answer. You have to go up front and tap on the desk for a while and call out to them, and then they might come talk to you. Was it the black spots (I hope they were stains) all over our sheets? Perhaps it was the holes in the walls. Or the black mold in the shower. Maybe it was the fact that in one of our two rooms, there was white slime on the bathroom wall. It's so sad that I have to HOPE it was snot. Or maybe that in the other room, the smoke detector was visibly melted. No, it's probably the 10-20 young men loitering outside every exit, in the hallways and daydrinking in the stairwell. Or perhaps it's the doors, each with a giant sign saying "don't prop this door open" that were all propped open for the whole time we were there. Oh, or perhaps it's the cockroach we killed in our shower. Or the blood we found high up on our wall. How the hell did blood get up there and why didn't they clean it off? I don't know what was going on at this hotel, but I'm never going back. And I hope the cops are watching it because there's something fishy going on. This takes the cake for the sketchiest hotel I've ever set foot in.

This hotel decided to rerent booked rooms because a Metallica concert nearby provided higher paying clients. Along with every other client who checked in after 10:30 pm, often after long flights or drives (10h drive for us), we arrived at the hotel to find that we needed other accommodations (in a booked out town).

Staff was friendly and a clean room.

Check in was awful. It took at least 10 minutes. All though there was no customers when I arrived. The clerk had to up date his computer. Which took 10 minutes. Once that was done, I received my room key. When I mention that it was taking to long it seemed to me that he slowed down.

Was laying in bed and a little roach was walking around the night stand. When I got out of the shower and was brushing my teeth, a roach crawled onto my foot. Getting there late at night, was very sketchy. As a female, who traveled alone and the only parking was in the back of the location and it was DARK. There were guys outside, drinking and I felt very uncomfortable and not very safe.

They shouldn’t announce as breakfast, more like snack table because it’s just muffin, protein bar and coffee. The only positive thing is it has full kitchen and big fridge. The location is far from restaurants and malls.

Property ok. A lot on notes on door about paying their bills. People walking around with blankets in a plastic clear bags.?I would not go there again. Bugs in room. Bad smell. I paid through the app so I thought I had to stay. Definately a bad vibe.

At check in the clerk said I was not in a good part of San Jose. The first room was dirty. The door looked like it had been pried open, the towel rack in the bathroom was missing leaving holes in the walls and there were crumbs and debris on the night stand and telephone. The second room attempted had a wad of toilet paper in a dirty toilet with dark hair on the seat and rim. I called the desk and said I was leaving. They were apologetic but did not offer assistance or a refund. The hallways were dirty with stained carpet and strong odor of marijuana. There were also screams and loud music. Expedia is assisting me with the complaint and refund process. It felt more like an apartment building than a hotel. I've had good experiences with Extended Stay in the past, this was really unacceptable and I did not feel safe.

Good size room with fridge and st I ve butbthe complementary breeakfast was muffins and coffee. Nice staff. Hallways smelled i think people actually are living there bcuz its an extended stay.

Property looks amazing from the outside but did not feel comfortable once inside. No amenities in the room had to call down on my personal phone to ger what was needed because phone in room wasnt even plugged it - didnt even have a cord. Free breakfast was nothing more than coffee, tea, oatmeat packets and granola bars but worse than that there were what looked like homelass people milling around in lobby. I checked out at my own expense and found another hotel. Our company now has a no stay policy for this location. Absolute worst place i have ever stayed!!!
