Would have been nice to be informed that there was renovations going on, walked into a big scuffle and a folded card table with two people sitting behind it with laptops. Was Dustin dirt as soon as you walked in a fly trap all the flies coming in and out?

They were in the middle of remodeling. The door to the room did hang properly, so light flooded the room. The door on the shower was not seated properly, when you took a shower the water went all over the floor. Too much dust from the work taking place. No lobby, no where to sit.

The property was under construction, heavy smell of paint & paint remover , the air conditioner was not very cold and the door key issues of not working. It took the front desk at least 16 tries to get access for the room key. No breakfast like stated there would be. Staff at desk not courteous at all . I should have been made aware under construction so I could go elsewhere. Not happy with this trip at all. Very very dissatisfied.

We needed a place to stay on our way to Nags Head. This hotel was the most reasonable for one night in this area. But the room had a musty odor, the desk/countertops had all sorts of smudges/prints and our feet turned black from the floors (not carpet). This just didn’t match with an $300 a night stay at similar hotels. All in all for the price I was very disappointed. Won’t stay here again.

The hotel felt generally unclean. Public areas, e.g. Carpet outside the elevator looked as though it hadn't been vacuumed in a while. The receptionist was distracted while we were checking in, speaking to someone on the phone at the same time. This resulted in us not being given room keys, and we had to ask for them. Later, our son - who was staying in another room - was given keys for our room instead of his own. We now had four cards for one room, but actually two didn't work. The room itself was also unclean, with hair and dirt on the floor, grease on the fridge door, and a glass shower door that had not been cleaned. Overall not good for the price paid.

The staff was nice and polite during check-in, but this property needs some major cleaning. The floors in the elevators were sticky. They may have had some leaking on the third floor because it smelled moldy. Additionally, my room was not clean. The toilet, shower, sink, and floors were visibly DIRTY!!!!! Glad I flip flops and wipes on hand.

Great front desk. Had to come back downstairs bc the TV didn’t work. Changed rooms (no problem), but found the TV was analog only. That means they cheap out and don’t pay for digital cable: squashed, low-res image on a tiny TV (unlike your TV image at home which is crystal clear and image us edge to edge on the screen). It may not sound like much, but it makes it almost unwatchable. WiFi was good and free, so I streamed the basketball game and movies on my iPad. That’s a big thing in a hotel room. But, the free breakfast was pretty good (make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, juice bagels, cereal, etc.( And if you don’t like that, there’s a yummy Denny’s on the other side of the lot. But the TV situation is enough to make you think twice about staying here. Cheap, dumb move, Sleep Inn.

I cannot recommend staying here. It’s a converted Sleep Inn. My two-room suite did not have a built-in closet. Instead they provided a small wardrobe that was three feet wide. The sitting room had one miserably small, uncomfortable sofa. The only other place to sit were two ice cream parlor chairs at the small table they had for you sit and eat. They did have a large TV in each room, and the queen bed was very nice.

AC didn’t work well in room, shower yellowed, felt a bit dingy, didn’t want to go in. Toilet didn’t flush on the first flush, you had to mess with it to get it to flush. Okay property and clean enough, very helpful and nice staff, but I didn’t feel it was a good deal for the price. When we first walked into the room, we were amazed at how SMALL it was! The bathroom was completely uncomfortable, and too small, and we felt completely cramped the entire time we were there. The first staff member I met in the morning (April) was very friendly and eager to help. The staff member I met upon my return that evening I believe was Amanda or Amber maybe not but although she was busy was apologetic and also friendly and eager to assist. The rooms were clean and accommodating, had everything that I needed. Pool was open until 10pm which is nice as it's usually late when we return to the hotel from our day. There were also cookies in the lobby that evening which saved me from having to buy my kiddo little snacks from the machine. It also sits a little off the beaten path so was easy access and quiet during the night. I will be adding this business to my list of places to stay in the future.
