What guests think

Across many reviews, AC Hotel by Marriott Sacramento is praised for its modern, very clean rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly staff, with a convenient location within an easy walk of Golden 1 Center, restaurants, and downtown attractions.

Recurring downsides include paid, confusing parking with no direct elevator access from the garage and occasional street noise or gritty surroundings typical of this downtown block. Several guests mention the bathroom's see-through sliding doors and some small rooms, plus intermittent maintenance or housekeeping issues such as hot water, HVAC noise, or missed service. Dining feedback is mixed: the lobby bar and cocktails earn praise, while breakfast quality and value draw criticism. Expect a modern, well-located stay suited to events and downtown visits, with trade-offs around parking and the urban environment.

The hotel is centrally located downtown close to Golden 1. Parking is difficult. There is self parking for $27 a night but very few spots. There is Vallet parking for $47 a night. The hotel is great on the inside. The staff was very welcoming. The only issue we had was the curtains were going up and down on their own throughout the night.

We stayed at this hotel for the convenience of the location. It is a 5-7 minute walk to Golden 1 center. Parking is really bad at this hotel location. They have a 24 hr self parking right outside but try to convince you that valet is cheaper. They say its $50 for event parking and valet through them is $45. My husband went to look and it was only $30 to park for 24 hours. Expedia also lists a wheelchair accessible pool. There is no pool. Breakfast is also not included with your stay it is about $20 per person.

New and beautiful hotel. It’s better to find parking on the upper street level because, if you park on the lower levels, you have to take stairs to the hotel level and they are beyond filthy and smell of urine. The bathroom portion of the hotel rooms are cleverly not pictured on the website and it’s probably because a lot of people would be uncomfortable with the shower and toilet doors to be see-through. It makes for an awkward stay if you’re sharing a room.

The parking is owned by a private party. I didn’t understand the pre-pay through a QR code. There was a huge line at the hotel when we arrived. Housekeeping was not done cleaning rooms so I did mot ask about parking. The next morning the front desk informed me it was private parking. That you had to pay in advance with the QR code. I went out and paid, when I arrived at my car. I had a ticket on it for 3 times the amount $60.00. I tried to call the parking people. But had to leave a message.

Housekeeping left a few things undone in our room prior to us arriving-someone else's food and dirty glasses were in the in room refrigerator. Also big hair balls were left behind in the trashcan. The food and bar, front desk staff, valet, and bartender were all wonderful. Would definitely stay here again if going to an event at Golden 1

Property is centrally located and very clean with well-functioning appliances. Was on a low floor adjacent to 7th street -- could hear some folks talking on the street at 3 AM as well as the light rail until it stopped running. Perhaps they could have better soundproofing on the windows or made sure to try and locate on other side of building if rooms were available.

No pillow cases on the pillow. No cups in the room for coffee or drink. Overpriced. I get it tho. Jack up the rates for a show at Golden One Center. It is walking distance to food and the venue. It’s a small room for a pricey hotel.

The room wasn’t appealing. The standard king has a studio feel — even though the shower was upscale tile, it was positioned behind a sliding dark glass door along with the toilet. It felt cramped and dark. Weirder: the bathroom sink is separate, in the middle of the bedroom, serving as a kind of room divider. The CrowdStrike meltdown meant that I had to leave my credit card info as hard copy — not their fault, but still uncomfortable — and I was never able to get a signal on my TV (even though i did have internet). My biggest complaint: the underground parking garage next door is insane. There’s no elevator back to street level, so you have to drag your luggage up the entry ramp (next to large signs that say, “DO NOT WALK ON RAMP.” Again, not the hotel’s fault, but it made for an inconvenient and unpleasant entry/exit.

Michael was incredibly helpful and was able to accommodate us during a crazy weekend! I imagine it wasn’t easy given the influx of people being in Sac that weekend. For that we are grateful. However the woman at the desk that day and evening (6/13) was so incredibly rude. She was talking down and giving the worst attitude to everyone she “helped” including us. It was definitely a deterrent when someone in hospitality makes you feel like an unwanted guest. Other than that. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Valet, although a bit expensive, were all pleasant and polite

We made a reservation for a family of 4 and paid for a room w/king bed and sofa bed but we were given only a king bed. 20 min later the front desk man showed up with two roll away beds. One bed had a hanger and used gloves inside of it and the other had a used makeup 2x4 cotton pad and another dirty glove. The front desk said he was new and didn’t know how to do a lot of things and he was the only one working.

We had a double queen room booked with breakfast, upon arrival we were told that they have sold out and gave us a king with sofa bed, we were 4 adults and this made it so hard for us. Also, manager was not present and we asked for someone for help, but they even couldn’t contact the manager. They told us they can’t do anything and forced us to stay the room they provided. There were no blankets on the sofa bed and also the sheets weren’t cleaned properly. Breakfast was very basic compared with other times of my stay at Marriott. We were told that they will fully refund our first night stay, still waiting for the refund. Please help to follow up and refund the money to my account. Overall experience was not satisfactory based on my previous experience with Marriott group.

Sleek new hotel, very modern, clean and comfortable. I chose the hotel for its proximity to the train station and the Capitol Mall area where I had a meeting. It was also one of the more reasonable, cost-wise, in the area. It’s downtown, so there was some some grit and street noise (the light rail goes by right out front) but not too bad and I felt fairly safe walking around in the early evening (solo female traveler). There seem to be some nicer restaurants nearby, but quick/easy/casual dining dinner options were a bit sparse (things seem to close early). The hotel had food options, but a little spendy. It had other nice amenities too, although I couldn’t fully take advantage on just a quick overnight.
