Great central spot. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean and very well situated blocks from the Acropolis and the museum. Great view from their rooftop and their sister hotel two blocks away as a great terrace for an evening cocktail. Delicious breakfast too!

The staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Small roof top area with view of Acropolis. Sister hotel (Herodion) a block away had an amazing roof top restaurant and bar with view of Acropolis and was amazing. All the sites were close and walkable and area was relatively quiet. Breakfast had plenty of options (could have used some warm eggs).

Great location just 5 minutes from metro, Acropolis museum and entrance to the Acropolis too. Clean and comfortable the beds for Greece were sooo comfortable. Breakfast choice OK staff very good only downsides were lift very slow and only news for English TV channels. We will definitely stay here again.

The biggest complaint, the ad miss represented the Terrace. I thought there were drinks available. You have to go to the sister hotel for drinks on the terrace.

This was a really nice hotel located on a quiet, one way street, close to all of the attractions. Their customer service was really nice, they had coffee and water in the lobby all day, and the view of the Acropolis from the roof top was beautiful! I am used to small rooms in Europe, but our room was one of the smallest I have ever had, just a little room to walk around the bed on both sides. The size was a bit difficult for a four day stay with a husband that is over 6 foot tall! Next time I would definitely upgrade to a larger room if possible. We walked to all of the sites, there are restaurants all over, you can see the Acropolis museum from the hotel, and definitely be sure to make a stop at Takis bakery just down the street for delicious desserts!

Great location literally 5 minutes from the Acropolis metro station and the entrance to both the Acropolis and the acropolis museum (don’t skip the museum it’s very informative). There are loads of bars and restaurants also within 5 minutes and old Athens is on your door step. Hotel quiet though in a great area. Beds super comfortable, good Wi-Fi, good staff and it’s kept very clean, ok breakfast with some meats, cheese, yoghurt, jams, honey, cakes, cereal, boiled eggs tea and coffee Though no fresh fruit juices. Lovely roof terrace with a great view of the Acropolis. Downsides are lifts vey slow and only English Tv news channel. We will def stay there again.

Location : 10 min walk to Acropolis Metro. 10 min walk to Acropolis tourist sites. 100 Meters to the bus stop for Bus 230 that will take you to Syntagma. Check In : Very quick. Room : Had a balcony with a view of the Parthenon. Good mattress. Powerful showers. A lot of wardrobe space as well. The terrace is open to guests and you get a great view of the Parthenon. Housekeeping: was done regularly & the room was always spotless when we came back every evening. Wifi in Room: was weak occassionally but no major issues. Television : Had many greek channels & BBC world (English) Breakfast : Multiple options & great desserts. The quality of the Orange & Grapefruit juice could be improved. Luggage Storage: Free service. A special room for luggage storage and a ticket given for each luggage piece. Check Out : Very efficient I will definitely stay here if I visit Athens again.

The hotel staff from the front desk to the housekeepers were exceptional! I can’t say enough about how friendly and helpful everyone was. Hotel is in a totally walkable area to nearby shopping and a lot of little cafes and bars. Would stay here again.

Hotel is well located to reach all sightseeing spots by foot very easy and within nice walks. My 3 star rating is because of cleanliness, dedicated talking about many (foreign) hairs under the bed sheets, which was really ugly. Asked to take care of this at the reception, but in the evening nothing changed for both rooms. Beside that, the hotel is a good fit for a city trip. Metro station Acropolis is only some minutes to go.

Melhore este texto. Inicialmente o quarto oferecido era muito diferente do reservado. A atendente disse que era o correto e não tinha outro. Encontrei uma meia suja no chão, de uma criança, o que indicava não ter sido recolhida da reserva anterior. Fiz a reclamação ao hotéis.com e no terceiro dia de estadia me transferiram para o quarto correto, que eu havia visto na reserva, com uma carta de boas vindas e mimos, o que entendi como um pedido de desculpas. Apesar da atendente inicial ter sido reativa, o atendente do dia seguinte foi excelente e se mostrou pró ativo a resolver, principalmente após o hotéis.com ter formalizado a reclamação.

When we entered the 304 room bad smell was coming from the bathroom. I thought just a smell but didn’t go away. Later when I opened the sheet cover to sleep I saw a black bug walking on the sheet between the pillow. I started looking if there’s more I saw the remote control between the 2 twin beds on the floor they say it’s queen bed I got disgusted and slept on the chair the whole night

We stayed at this hotel for just one night after returning from the Greek islands, and I genuinely regret not booking it for our entire Athens itinerary. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The room was spotless and clean. It was nice having carpet, a change from most of the Greek places we stayed. The breakfast area was small but worked. Was really pleased with this hotel. You never know when booking online but was fantastic. Arrived very early but they have a secure locked room for luggage and were very happy to take it from me. When I arrived there was the AC on (thank goodness as Athens is hot in august!) along with a chilled bottle of white wine. In the fridge were two bottles of water. Room was very small (I was a solo traveller so they likely have me in the smallest space which makes sense). Balcony was huge (same size as the room) with a table and chairs and even a lounge chair. Bathroom was small the shower was the most awkward in my room as the toilet is in the shower when you close the curtain. Was very difficult to keep water from going everywhere. However all things worked great in the room. It was clean and comfortable and quiet. Very wonderful location around the corner from a grocery store and the Hop on Hop off bus stop (A3). Very close to walk to the lovely Plaka for shopping and food but when you came to sleep it was very quiet. Great big buffet breakfast each morning. Lovely acropolis view from the terrace. Elevator up to the rooms but no elevator to the lobby. I would say 8 stairs with your luggage up. Would stay here again for sure.

Små men rena rum. Daglig städning. Trevlig, hjälpsam personal och bra standardfrukost. Lite lyhört men inte mer än normalt. Flera möjliga kuddalternativ och en stor terass tillhörande rummet. Låg i ett trevligt område med flera trevliga små cafeer i närheten. Kan absolut tänka mig att bo där igen.

The bed was very firm, the bath/shower was atrocious - it has a half step inside where you cannot easily shower or bathe, very awkward. My room was immediately behind the front desk and very noisy - I could hear everything from the bathroom and I'm sure they could hear me as well. Very uncomfortable.

This is your basic kind of hotel. The rooms are extremely small and the restrooms even smaller. The showers aren’t even big enough for one person. Our restroom has a potent sewage smell the 2 nights we were there. One positive was the comfort of the bed and the pillows. Having to overcome the musty, sewage smell, I did sleep very comfortably. The staff was excellent. Breakfast was good. Acropolis Museum and other attractions are within walking distance. Laundromat also very close. Overall, it was an alright experience. Nothing terrible about it, just a little older anda lot smaller than some others in the area.

Beds super comfortable, good Wi-Fi, good staff and it’s kept very clean, ok breakfast with some meats, cheese, yoghurt, jams, honey, cakes, cereal, boiled eggs tea and coffee Though no fresh fruit juices. Lovely roof terrace with a great view of the Acropolis. Downsides are lifts vey slow and only English Tv news channel. We will def stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel with another couple. I had booked rooms with the view of the Acropolis and we were allocated room 701 on the top floor with our friends in 602. The rooms were described as Micro rooms and that is a fair description. There was very little room around the bed in the room and the bathroom was a tight fit but still functional. The view onto the Acropolis from our friend's room was somewhat limited by other buildings but the view from our terrace was excellent. In fact the space available on the private terrace of 701 more than made up for the small room size. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and breakfast offered different Greek specialities on each of the 3 mornings we were there. The hotel is super close to the amazing Acropolis Museum and to the entrance to the Acropolis site from where you can walk up to the top. Definitely a hotel we would return to if ever back in Athens

I am so happy with this excellent hotel. Thanks to Elias, Efi, Spiros, Monda and all the staff, they were wonderful. My luggage got lost from our fly and the hotel collected them after we left for a cruise. When we came back they have it for us to pick it up before we go to Rome. We highly recommen this hotel

EFI, Stamatis, and all the front desk staff were great. Lady in charge of complimentary breakfast was wonderful. Property is conveniently located. Very close (5-10 minute walk) to Acropolis and to Acroplois museum and subway. Great location to tour this part of Athens on foot.

We arrived a few hours early and was allowed to check in as our room was ready. We have stayed here before and know the area well. The room was clean and had a very large balcony to sit and relax. Because we requested a balcony we were given a smaller room than before so we had a hard time with our luggage. Lucky for us we spent little time in the room. The bedding was nice and comfortable. The breakfast is ok, could use more variety. All the staff were pleasant and very helpful. The area is within a 10 minute walk to the Acropolis and Palaka where there’s plenty of cafes and shopping. All in all I highly recommend the Philippos hotel.

We had a great stay for 2 nights. The location is excellent and easy walk to most everything. The front desk was very helpful. We were on the 7th floor…room description is perfect…it’s micro but the balcony is superb! We spent lots of time on it admiring our amazing view of the Acropolis! Highly recommend this hotel!
