Anderson Island is a lovely, peaceful and beautiful location. We loved the house and all the amenities. It was fun talking to the locals learning about the island history and what they enjoy doing. Our favorite time was spent floating in the kayaks and on the paddle boards watching playful seals. The hosts are super kind and informative. With their helpful tips, we had no problems using the ferry and getting our supplies. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed 3 nights

Stayed at the Anderson Island house in mid June with family. Views are stunning! Though you can’t see Mt Rainier directly from the house, the house is right on Oro Bay and we saw seals, sea otters, bald eagles, and deer. Lots of jellyfish in Puget Sound, so use caution if swimming. We enjoyed the kayaks, fire pit, and hot tub. Ate all of our meals on the deck! The house was clean and comfortable, very nice beds and pillows, not the best water pressure upstairs, but there are 3 bathrooms. We found that the ferry lines to the island were quite long, sometimes waiting an hour and a half. Leaving the island though was not too bad, 20 min lines. And we enjoyed the ferry and saw orca whales from it, and the view of Mt Rainier was amazing! There are a few things to keep track of in the house manual, but they are mostly common sense and help to take care of the house for the next guests. The beach (rocky) was easy to reach from the house, not as far as I thought it would be! Neighbors were quiet and it was a very peaceful island. Owners provided plenty of amenities and the kitchen had everything needed for cooking! All around, a wonderful stay and we enjoyed our time there immensely!

Stayed 4 nights

This house is so beautiful, it exceeded all our expectations. Very clean and spacious, comfortable beds, big hot tub that actually fits 6 people, amazing views. Great location if you want to be away from people and busy city. We used the kayaks and paddle boards everyday. In the evenings the water was like glass and we had a close encounter with a pod of orcas that was incredible! The host Betty is very sweet and accommodating, and responded quickly to all our needs. I would definitely recommend this house and would stay there again.
