This hotel was filthy, the room smelled of smoke, bathroom had mold on the walls, linens were stained, garbage on the floor. The pool green. I was there all of 5 minutes , returned the keys. The health department should close them down till they clean itx

No hot water or electricity at sink counter. Faucet loose and leaked at base. NEw paint and floor but edges had NOT been cleaned/repaired. Frig buzzed every 10 seconds but wasn't cold . Furniture old, used, and obviously 3rd hand. KEEP WORKING ON THIS PROPERTY!!!!

This place was filthy. The woman checking me in offered me a smoking room despite the reservation being non-smoking. When I told her that I would require non-smoking for my young daughter with asthma, she said ok, but the room still reeked of smoke. We walked past a “fitness room” that was just storage full of broken furniture and electronics. The cleanliness of the room was laughable. The sink still had a toothpaste glob from the previous guest in it, and the bottoms of our feet were BLACK after walking barefoot across the floor. It was disgusting.

Not very clean. The room smelled like marijuana when we walked in. No hot water for shower - lukewarm at best. Pool was covered 9/13/25- temps in the high 90s. People In the room next to us smoked outside - basically in front of our door and you could smell it in our room.

There were roaches in the room, along with pee on the bathroom floor. No liner on the dirty shower curtain. The front conference room has been converted into a dive bar/bingo hall so it’s very loud very late. We asked for and did not receive rooms next to each other. No coffee maker in the rooms. This is by far the worst place I’ve ever stayed.

Our non-smoking room smelled like a cigar. I killed 2 roaches soon as I walked in, there were multiple dead bugs around the room. The curtains looked like there was vomit on them, the chair was destroyed and looked like it came from a dumpster. The phone was covered in dust, the radio looked like another dumpster find. We turned right around and left. This is easily the WORST motel I’ve ever stepped foot into. This place is disgusting, avoid at all cost!

DO NOT STAY!!!! It was a Auburn game weekend so rates were high everywhere so we picked this place. I wouldn’t even pay 20 bucks to stay here. Just awful. Nothing good about this place l. The beds were really hard too but that was the least of the problems.

This hotel is run down, dirty and smelly. Greasy handprints on the headboard. Sheets have stains on them. Bathroom doorknob had spackle all over it. And worst of all the room reeked strongly of cigarette smoke. This is the worst hotel/room in which I have ever stayed.

Check in, parking and exterior were basic but fine. The room was a huge issue. Bugs crawling on side of bed and same type of bug dead on nightstand. Immediately exited the room and left for another hotel. Room was also in terrible condition. Food left in fridge, rust on things, poor upkeep.

No electricity in our room. Maintenance found tripped breaker. Turned back bed covers finding stains, hair and grainy particles on spread. Dead bug on bathroom counter. Toilet had been used and not flushed. Front desk sent sheets up then the electricity went off again. We left. Never will trust this chain again even if it is a last resort as it was this time.

We did not feel comfortable so we left and did not even stay. The room was dirty and in poor repair. No towels. Windows in rooms next to ours were broken. I would not recommend even to save money on a game weekend.

Where do I begin?: We usually stay in Motel 6 when traveling with pets, but the maintenance on this one was abysmal! 1. Water from the air conditioner leaked all over the floor. 2. The air conditoner barely cooled. 3. The faucet on the bathroom sink was broken and spewed water everywhere. 4. The handle on the microwave was broken. 5. The mattress must have been decades old as it sloped BADLY on one side. 6. The plugs were all loose and hanging out of the wall. 7. The towels had stains all over them. 8. The toilet seat was completely unhinged on one side and loose on the other. 9. Bathroom sink had no hot water. 10. The cable guide on the TV was one of the most confusing I've ever seen. 11. The clothing shelf with hangers was coming out of the wall and the rust that fell down was everywhere and hadn't been cleaned in a long while. So, while renovations looked fairly new, the maintenance aspects had been completely neglected.

The people in the room next to us had 2 full grown boxers that barked literally from the time we got there until we left. I called front desk within the first 5 minutes of barking and was told she didn’t have a room to move me to. There was a room about 3 down from ours that was open and about 6 across the parking lot. All she said was sorry 🙄

Paid $113 to stay here for 1 night and my air conditioner didn’t even work. It was so hot in my room! When the maintenance man came to look at the ac he told me to give it a little while to get cold & it never did. When I complained to the front desk all she said was “I’m so sorry”

I made a noise complaint after not being able to sleep for nearly two nights in a row. Said they would call them to tell them to be quiet. I NEVER heard their phone ring. And I could hear EVERYTHING from those next to me. It was NONSTOP loud yelling/laughing day and night. They were OBVIOUSLY smoking marijuana it smelled SO strong in my room. And I have asthma. I told them I wanted a NO SMOKING room at check in due to this. When I went to the desk saying I wanted to leave (over 3 hours after complaining of it all) she said “oh I just called them to ask them to be quiet” As I was walking to the front desk a house keeper walked up there with me and said before I could even say anything “she wants to check out because those people next door and how loud they are” and even said they had been getting constant complaints about them. So why would they room someone next to them?!? They obviously had TONS of other rooms open. I understand I chose a cheaper hotel and I can deal with ALOT but WOW it was so bad. My bathroom toilet leaked allll around the ring anytime I flushed. There was bullet hole in my window/curtains even. I barely got an apology at check out and when I said I wanted to go they wouldn’t stop trying to get me to choose a different room. Absolute WORST stay I have EVER had. And I travel ALOT. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Very unsafe location, lobby is 300 yards away from the rooms in a different building. A lot of cross traffic through parking lot due to adjacent road behind the motel. I was charged twice for the same room same night. American Express is disputing Quality Inns charge same address as Motel 6. I had two different transactions for the same stay. One from Expedia and one from Quality Inn. Called motel 6 location Monday morning and was given toll free number. Owner said he couldn’t authorize refunds. NEVER again

Not only that, because he couldn't find it, called me a liar and also threatened to call the police and have me removed from the premises. I have been booking with hotels.com for a long time and never had this problem. I stayed alone that night and was in bed at 8pm and the front attendant sent someone and woke me up complaining about a noise complaint about a party. It really made my stay very uncomfortable. Not only did they not have my room that i reservated, he charged me 4 more dollars, and retried to recharge my card for the entire room over again. This was not my first time staying there, but probably will consider it lightly before staying there again.

The Motel 6 in Opelika was a good value for the money. We especially appreciated their pet-friendliness, which extended to the fact that there was no extra charge for our two Scotties. We were initially assigned a room right next to a room that also had two dogs in it, and there was barking back and forth, so we asked the front desk to be reassigned, which they did quickly and courteously. Would recommend.

I went down to talk to staff about it, she offered for them to come and clean it. I went back up because my daughter was waiting in me, we happen to open the fridge and almost threw up, and there was trash left from previous people. I went back down and asked for a refund, she offered another room. I declined.

Room @ bathroom were not throughly cleaned prior to my stay you can tell it was rushed last time the room was taken care of, it was dirty I had no shampoo or conditioner, okay that’s fine I brought my own. No soap of any kind. My AC unit would not turn on and they didn’t have other rooms 😩 it’s Alabama. No pet fees which is why I choose motel 6s larger area for my pets to do their business and stretch their legs I had pizza delivered, it was pretty good

When we arrived, the first thing I noticed was the floor had not been swept or mopped. Dirt was all over the floor and look like it had not been mopped for quite a while so then I went to use the bathroom and shower and there was only one towel and one washcloth we booked the weekend for two guest so there should’ve been more than just one of each. I had to ask the front desk for a broom so I could sweep the broom was filthy itself, but I used it anyway at checkout time we were taking all of our things to the vehicle. We were walking on the walkway to the vehicle, and my fiancé slipped and took a hard fall on the concrete. We noticed that he slipped because they had just painted. They had no wet paint signs out. They did not block off the walkway and I notified the manager, the manager made a phone call asking the person why did they put out wet paint signs and why did they not block off the walkway. He asked if he was OK I said no I’m having to take him to the emergency room and he didn’t say anything else. There was no comment from the manager. I called the next date as for incident report he said he made a internal r report and did not know how to give it to me. I will be requesting the money back for our stay.

Both people I talked to at the front desk were very nice. The young lady I spoke to when I arrived allowed me to check in and recieve my room card early because I was at an event during normal check in time. So im quite thankful for not having to check in at 10pm when I returned. The bathroom door was not attached at the top hinge and you can see its been repaired several times. Someone tried to use drywall anchor sleeves to get the screws to hold. When I left I let the gentleman at the desk know and he said he would contact maintenence. All n all I paid for a place to sleep and I got that.

I know it’s a Motel 6 but for what I paid for this room was really not worth it, lady at the desk was rude and barely knew any English and looked confused about everything. They did not replace towels or toilet paper, I had to walk to the front office and get those items from them at 9pm at night. The refrigerator did not work (wasn’t cold at all) The water pressure and temperature was awful. Don’t pay $300 for a weekend stay here, you’ll regret it, plus it’s in crack town.

Our stay at Motel 6 was excellent. The room was very nice and clean. We stayed because my son was graduating from Graduate School at Auburn University. The location was excellent. We were close to shops, food and the interstate. The staff was super friendly and nice. Motel 6 is very pet friendly, and ir had a nice grass area to walk your pet. My son is staying in Auburn to live, so we will be visiting Motel 6 again.

Where to start? Scary area. Stairs to room were concrete over metal and there were steps where the concrete had broken and the step was bent in half so that it throws you backwards or forwards when you step on it. Thr floors in the room were filthy. Wish you could see how black my feet were after walking barefooted. There were NO toiletries. Not even a bar of soap to wash your hands. One towel and one washrag. In a King room...Microwave was missing, TV so tiny you couldnt see it from the bed. Had to totally rearrange the furniture to even have a bedside table to plug into. The plugs were broken and melted from getting too hot. I actually got shocked by one trying to find a place to plug into. . The corners of the room were nasty from built up dirt. The mattress cover was stained from period blood. The sheets were so thin and had so many holes from cigarettes. The curtains were half down and I had to use all the coat hanger clips to hold it together so that everybody walking by didnt get a show. Nice breakfast room but no longer serve anything. Yes, I could go on and on but my fingers are falling off from typing. So basically, PLEASE DONT STAY HERE.

This facility should be torn down and rebuilt or at the least totally renovated! Worst place we have ever stayed. I Feel sorry for the staff that has to deal with all the complaints. First room they gave us had a toilet that didn’t flush. Second room seemed better but realized after settling in that the AC/Heater couldn’t be regulated & sink was clogged. There was no hot water and sink faucet came apart in effort to regulate. Started looking for other accommodations but everything booked because of Auburn’s graduation. Talked to several other guests at “breakfast - “( wrapped packaged pastries) They had similar complaints or worse. How is this place allowed to stay open??? As a result , Will avoid any future stays at ANY Quality Inn !

Wonderful and clean! People were very nice! Breakfast was yummy & light. They had grab an go options and I love Microtel! It was so nice to get off work and take a hot shower watch tv and go to bed! Quiet and clean & off by itself.

There were roaches in the room, along with pee on the bathroom floor. No liner on the dirty shower curtain. The front conference room has been converted into a dive bar/bingo hall so it’s very loud very late. We asked for and did not receive rooms next to each other. No coffee maker in the rooms. This is by far the worst place I’ve ever stayed.

This hotel needs MAJOR renovations. The staff is super friendly, the room was pretty clean and the bed slept ok. We didn’t see any bugs but the furniture needs to match the photos. The plugs need to be fixed instead of looking like they are hanging on by a thread and irons and hair dryers should be in rooms. People who travel by air don’t necessarily pack those things and they are needed. If you just need a place to lay your head after an Auburn football game and don’t want to pay thousands of dollars then this place is a go to.
