What guests think

At Hampton Inn Columbus/Taylorsville/Edinburgh, travellers often praise the friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms, and a convenient location by the outlet mall and restaurants, making it an easy stop just off the highway for shopping and short stays.

Facilities draw mixed feedback: the pool and gym are appreciated, but the pool temperature can be cold and elevator reliability or noise is an occasional issue. Rooms are generally comfortable, yet recurring comments mention aging fixtures, limited or faulty outlets, occasional TV or window-shade problems, and sporadic plumbing or HVAC glitches; some guests also found mattresses lumpy or too firm. Cleanliness is frequently commended, though a few guests noted mildew odors or pests, and breakfast ranges from very good to underwhelming depending on the day. Expect a convenient stay with some variability in facilities and upkeep.

The property could use some serious maintenance and updating. Our window’s seal was broken and mildew was growing in the base between the window panes and the popcorn ceiling was peeling by the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the lobby was clean. The breakfast was average.

Had to safely walk through some un shoveled snow to get to the side entrance. Purdue basketball is huge and also a big college football game were both unavailable to watch. Breakfast omelet and muffins almost stale. Chairs at eating area very low and moved twice. I always enjoy Hampton Inn and voiced my regrets to manager, who seemed to have an excuse for everything in a matter of fact way. I have mentioned this to other's and their opinion is it's probably new management. I just expect much more from Hampton Inn.

Hotel & room is clean. Staff was nice. Free breakfast had yogurt, muffins, waffles, sausage, toast, English muffins, cold cereal, juice, western omelet & oatmeal. Oatmeal was like paste & omelets was mediocre but for free, you have enough of a variety you won’t go hungry. There’s a lot of restaurants to choose from as well that’s walking distance from the hotel. Outlet mall is right across the parking lot.
