While the pool, the beach, the restaurant, and the hotel were clean and great, the one big problem was NOISE. There was constant music and announcements all day long, and after 9 p.m., there were shows that went on till midnight. There was not a single place to sit and have a conversation! Two wedding were held on the grounds with LOUD music till midnight. We felt bombarded by noise and won't return because of it.

I like pretty much everything about this place, nice and clean with the stuff going the extra mile trying to help me, the one thing that I encounter was that out of the two elevators only one of them was working and sometimes it would take longer or it would get full quickly, other than that I would definitely stay there again…

its a family place to stay rooms are ok and nothing special. a lil out dated but for the price its good. we only got breakfast with our stay and there was only one different dish everyday, other than that everything else is the same every day. theres many walking restaurants close by. they have nice kids pools with slides that was fun for them but pools need to be cleaned better cause water looks dirty and ur swim gear will smell bad. they have entertainment every day starting around 9pm which was fun. Would i stay here again...... just adults i dont think so, with kids maaaaaybeee.

Me decepcionó mucho esta estancia. El jacuzzi estuvo roto durante toda nuestra estancia y cada vez que preguntábamos por él, los trabajadores nos decían que iban a preguntar, pero nunca nos decían nada. También se armó una pelea y mi madre casi fue golpeada por uno de los hombres, y los trabajadores no hicieron nada para detenerla. El socorrista fue el único que intentó detener la pelea. Las señoras de la limpieza fueron buenas. Las señoras de las toallas también intentaron cobrarnos por dejar cosas en las toallas, algo de lo que no nos informaron al principio. Además, todas las noches el hotel ponía música muy alta hasta muy tarde, aproximadamente a las 00:00. Me pareció una gran falta de consideración; lo entendería si fuera para eventos especiales, pero era así todas las noches. Además, la plomería no funcionaba a las 6:00 y tuvimos que llamar a la plomería. Teníamos hormigas en la habitación.

Unfreundlicher und umständlicher Check-in. Extrem laute Animation beim Pool und in der Lobby. Sehr schöne Lage direkt am Meer. Zimmer war sehr gross und schön. Qualität der Speisen und Auswahl des Buffets eher mittelmässig. Personal im Restaurant war freundlich. Wer einen ruhigen Urlaub verbringen möchte ist hier aber sicher fehl am Platz

The room smelled like dirty mop water . The pillows and sheets had black stuff all over them . The fridge didn’t work so we had to request another . Only one elevator for 100’s of people and the place was so packed it was uncomfortable . The hot tub was slimey when sitting down and the pool was so warm for the 100s of people in it . I was suppose to stay 3 nights and decided to check out after 1 night and they would not issue me a refund . Out of the 5 hotels we stayed at this was the worst one . I do not recommend!

The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was exceptional and very nice and courteous the breakfast buffet was outstanding i’m very happy with my stay there. It was my first time and I would recommend it for anybody beautiful place and the staff was amazing.

The hotel was outdated and smelled like mold in both the building and room. While the towels were clean, they also didn’t smell pleasant, but this became tolerable. The location was great, and the pool was beautiful. However, someone overdrank and vomited near the pool, which we fortunately noticed and left immediately.

Bonjour, j’aime la proximité de cette hôtel! Le personnel courtois! Excellent service femme de chambre! La sécurité! Les services de l’hôtel ont beaucoup diminué la nourriture très médiocre moins de fruits variés eau dans jus le matin etc…comparé aux années précédentes la propreté des chaises et piscines exécrables! La salle à dîner et comptoir moins propre aussi! La piscine eau visqueuse! Boissons vendu différents prix ex: Pinacolada 90 peso! Le lendemain 140 peso et enfin 70 peso ! Droit à 15 rabais pas appliqués les premières semaines il a fallu que le directeur s’en mêle etc… petit resto extérieur fermé à plusieurs reprises ! Très déçu cette année a comparer aux années précédentes!

This hotel needs some attention. Rust in shower and bathroom Worn furniture. Lots and lots of people. Have to wear wrist bands and they don’t cut them off until you check out. People are friendly and breakfast is like grand central station. Not a relaxing environment and this was low season.

The place was older than expected, the staff was good although spoke little English so a few misunderstanding along the way. The pool was nice but overly crowded and extremely loud. The corner suite was spacious though the air conditioning smelled musty.

Enjoyed our two weeks at the Emporio. The staff were always helpful and went above and beyond expectations. The food was average, but they are willing to accommodate special requests. Menu prices were reasonable. The BBQ night was very good. Entertainment every night. Caters mostly to Mexican crowd. Main complaint was the coffee, especially in the rooms, was awful! Also, the over-zealous security staff removing our belongings from our cabana while we were enjoying breakfast was upsetting… otherwise, a good experience. We will return.

The service was exceptional. The breakfast omelets were fabulous. Rosa in animation was enthusiastic! Abigail and Gina in reception were delightfully welcoming. Julian and Jesus were terrific bellboys. Itzel was pleasant and helpful with assorted issues. Although there are a couple of new bicycles, they still need MORE new bicycles. The air conditioning was a blessing as it was particularly humid this visit. The beach was super clean and the lounge chairs and umbrellas were great for sunbathing and enjoying the days and the sunsets. I always thoroughly enjoy my stays at Hotel Emporio and I will continue to do so on future visits. The staff is dedicated to making everything wonderful for me as a guest and I truly appreciate all of their smiles and kind gestures in serving me.

The room we very clean. The reception staff were not very friendly or helpful. The one thing that stood out most was the staff, excluding reception staff. They were helpful, happy, kind, always going the extra to make you feel welcome. From the cleaning staff, to bar tenders to servers I can not praise them enough. Maybe giving the reception staff the same training would improve the first impression…

De las peores reservaciones que he tenido. Llegando al hotel me dieron una habitación con olor a humedad terrible. Me cambiaron a una habitación donde la tubería tenia sonidos. Lo peor fue qué en las instalaciones hay personas en estado de ebriedad. Con música tanto en la, Playa como en área de alberca a todo volumen. Tuve que irme del hotel ya qué no se hicieron responsables por una falta de respeto a mi esposa por parte de un huésped es totañ estado de ebriedad. Pedí mi reembolso qué aun no me lo han dado al corporativo sin tener respuesta alguna. No lo recomiendo. Pesima experiencia. Si pueden encontrar otras opciones. Reserven en otro hotel. Muy mala experiencia.

Check in process was very slow. More staff should be checking in guests when there is a line up to check in after 3pm. Seems that other staff at front desk are waiting for customers to check out or with room issues and are just standing there with nothing to do as the checkin line grows Should be better staff management in my opinion.

This resort is located in the middle of the Ixtapa hotel zone. There are restaurants, bars, vendors, pharmacies and a few small grocery stores right across the street. I stay here every time that I return to Ixtapa. The personnel at this hotel are top notch and always make me feel at home. Their pleasant attitude and helpful service are the reason that i always return to the Hotel Emporio. I, also, like the location because it is right across the street from good shopping and many restaurants. The bus / combi stop in front of the hotel makes it easy to visit the market and other places in the town of Zihuatanejo. The Palmar Beach in front of the hotel is beautiful and fantastic for walking and sunsets. I really like this property and always feel relaxed and refreshed when I visit.

We have stayed here before. The Emporio is a bit dated, but we don't spend much time inside, so don't really care. We chose the breakfast option this trip and it was fine. Cheaper than eating out every breakfast. Housekeeping was timely every day. The beach in this area CANNOT BE BEAT, and you are right in the middle of the hotel zone so easy walk to MANY, MANY good places to eat. Easy taxi ride to Zihua. Felt safe! Will be back in Ixtapa again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Loud parties after 10 pm in the lobby. We were in the back rooms, gratefully. Those with the “best” rooms would have been right in the middle of it. The food on site was boring after the first day. But the food across the street wasn’t anything better. But it’s a beautiful area, very clean and peaceful. The beach is fabulous, very clean.

It’s an inexpensive all inclusive hotel if you choose that option. I liked that you could do ala carte as well. My family enjoyed it. Food was good. Right on the beach. The towel system is slow but I understand why. The entertainment was good. We had live music. Itvisxreally close to shots and restaurante if you choose to leave the beach and pool. I could only do 2 -3 days of all inclusive . There’s a Dominos right outside the property. Lots of cabanas and chairs . It’s a smaller resort/ hotel. Free parking is a plus. Wifi was good.

Sentí que quedó de ver mucho ya que las opciones de actividades para el plan todo incluido eran muy limitadas, solo tenían paseo de bicicletas a las 8 de la mañana, aquaerobics, zumba, voleibol de playa. También las opciones de comida eran muy repetitivas en el desayuno comida y cena vas a encontrar papas, de una u otra forma de preparación pero vas a tener papas, verduras al vapor que nadie consumía, frijoles, pollo, el tema del pollo lo mismo lo preparaban de una u otra manera pero eran piezas de pollo completas con la piel ni siquiera era pollo desmenuzado o deshebrado nada y huevos. En el restaurante condimento tener un problema con los pájaros los meseros parecía que dedicaban más tiempo a espantarlos que atender a los clientes. El tema de las bebidas para hacer todo incluido pues no era la mejor opción en cuanto a calidad de bebidas. En la habitación se nota la antigüedad la tele fallaba le tomaba su tiempo tomar color. Solo tiene dos elevadores para 10 pisos entonces el tiempo de espera si puede ser algo por lo que en ocasiones optábamos mejor por las escaleras. En fin siento que nos quedó mucho ha deber el hotel y los servicios que ofrece.

4th time staying, the hotel is showing its age but the staff are great and the convenience with immediate accessibility to the beach and restaurants across the street can’t be beat. Only complaint like most Mexican hotels is the buffet, we only had the European plan (breakfast included) and the food was the same for all days of our stay. But service was great

Es un hotel que por su antigüedad ya tienen algunos detalles las habitaciones. Sin lugar a dudas ya requiere una mejora. El restaurante Condimento sirve alimentos de muy alta calidad. Desayuno, comida y cena en su bufet son excelentes, para mi opinión es lo mejor del hotel.
