What guests think

Across many reviews, Hampton Inn Laramie is praised for friendly, accommodating staff, quiet rooms, and a convenient location near I-80, the university, and dining, with breakfast frequently highlighted for variety and hot options.

Several stays note renovation disruption and intermittent pool or hot tub closures. Room quality feedback varies, with some finding dated furnishings, lingering odors, or noisy halls, and a few reporting uncomfortable beds or minor tech issues such as finicky TV remotes or app keys. Cleanliness is usually good but not universal, with occasional reports of dirty bedding or missed details, and food can be inconsistent, sometimes cold or understocked. Expect a straightforward, friendly stay with strong basics and occasional amenity hiccups.

Nice big and clean room. For the size of the room, it only had standard size bath/tub combo. Comfortable bed. Indoor pool was good even though hot tub was down. Good breakfast options with scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, waffles, biscuits, fruits, cereals. Great front counter staff!

There was a foul odor throughout the property. There were ants in the room and the coffee maker was dirty. The coffee and hot water in the lobby was either empty or cold. I was not comfortable eating the breakfast due to the condition of the hotel. The staff appeared to have poor personal hygiene.

Hotel was in a renovation and was in poor condition and it was still charging high prices over 150 a night. Room was dirty and looked like the shower wasn’t cleaned at all. We would have requested our money back and went somewhere else but we arrived late at night. There was nothing mentioned about the hotel being renovated on any online site.

I booked 3 rooms at this property. It was a very clean property in a nice part of Laramie. The staff was very friendly. Check-in was easy. The rooms were very large and the beds were comfortable . Only negative (which is not the staffs fault) was my room (305) reeked like old cigarette smoke. We got in late and I was too tired to complain and see about changing rooms. I contemplated it, but the parking lot was full so I wasn’t sure if it could even happen anyway. There is honestly no way housekeeping has not noticed that smell. I did tell the front desk on checkout. Hopefully they can try and remedy that odor for future guests. They will probably have to gut the room though to actually get rid of it completely. Yes, it was that bad! However, I would stay at this property again if ever in Laramie.
