The lady receptionist was very nice. Hallways wreaked of weed. Not just the first day but this carried on the following day as well. Breakfast was scrambled eggs and links, good enough to fill your stomach. Waffles stayed raw in the middle no matter how long you kept them in the iron. The guy night receptionist appears to live there with his wife and daughter. He wasn’t the most pleasant. Keys would work then stop working. Had to go to the desk SEVERAL times to get them rescanned in. At one point was told there would be a $50 charge if this kept happening. We weren’t losing the keys- we were bringing them back because they didn’t work. The pool room is freezing. Half of the lights are burned out and the heat lamps don’t work. It is so dark and cold in there. There’s two gambling machines in the waiting room- take that however you’d like. I have no clue how this place has this high of a rating. I will say, beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the price per night is low. I’ll skip this place next time though.

When we arrived at 4 pm the parking lot was under 6 inches of snow. Cars were getting stuck left and right. There was no parking areas cleared without getting stuck and we were told to use the shovel and clear our own spot if we wanted. Attitude of front desk was nasty and inviting. Remote for tv didn’t work due to batteries being dead and smoke alarm chirped due to battery as well.

“Exercise room” consisted of a treadmill and one broken weight machine, all in a tiny room. Breakfast was mediocre, coffee terrible. Front Desk manager was rude and just sat on her phone, didn’t even acknowledge guests. Staff that did breakfast sat a table watching tv. Very dated interior and room.

Pros: comfortable mattress, thin and thick blankets available, and they have waffle makers. Cons: no elevator (2 levels) which you might need if you have a lot of things or limited mobility, my key card had to get reprogrammed twice, cheap toilet seat, walls and carpet not in pristine condition. The cons are why the hotel was on the less expensive side for one of its rating.

The carpet was disgusting, sticky and slimy in between the beds. Everything is outdated and old, not cleaned very well as we found old candy under the desk and in the corner chair. There is no elevator, which wasn’t an issue with us as we were just staying one night and lacked light, but I was surprised by that fact.

My room was not clean. Easy chair dirty. Dog hair on the desk chair and in the bath tub. Air freshener smell was over powering. Mattress needs replacing. Lots of noise out in the hallway until midnight from other guests who just kept talking and talking. Very hard to sleep. Sorry for the poor review but updating needs to take place.

It was a reasonable property in Rist residential – like environment. The primary down check was the very strong cooking smell throughout all hallways on the first floor. I do not know what cuisine, but it was strong enough that I will likely not return.

Disgusting. Toilet smelled like a raw sewer/gas station restroom and incredibly small. Free breakfast was basically in an old hotel room and very gross/sketchy plus the worker was blasting inappropriate music. The office chair in the room was broken as well which made it even worse to work from there. Key card stopped working after 3 hours. Hallway/stairs were dirty and had chunks of food or something on it. Tv was maybe 15 inches and not HD. Was supposed to stay two nights and had to leave a day early bc I couldn’t handle how awful it smelled and just disgusted with the hotel in general. I told the front desk about the smell and that I had to leave early because of it and they didn’t care/no apology and no thought of giving me a refund for the second night or any sort of “give a crap” response. I guess you get what you pay for when you book an $80/night hotel but I wouldn't pay $10/night to stay there. Absolutely terrible experience and I’d rather sleep in my car next time I’m in Sun Prairie.

We were there for 3 nights. We asked (politely) the EXTREMELY RUDE front desk attendant woman (dressed in animal print) for room service for our second night. She looked at me like I was insane. Our sheets were NOT changed, etc. We had to get our own fresh towels. The exercise "facility" needs updating and made to be cooler. The plus for this property are the fresh water and coffee in the lobby, however. Bryan is nice in the breakfast room.

The hotel is in an easy to find location and is properly marked to view from the road. Although the building itself was older, the lobby, the building and the room was very nice! Comfortable, clean, quiet. The bed was better than others that we've experienced in hotels of this rating, so that was a huge plus! During a winter stay, the heat worked well in the room and didn't have any weird sounds or smells that disrupted our comfort, which was a plus. There was some vehicle noise heard through the windows and the doors are not incredibly sound-proofed, but nothing overly disturbing. Overall, it was a great option, comfortable stay, and wonderful price!

Close to interstate but not so close that there's noise from traffic. Facility is very clean including parking lot. Employees working during our stay were very respectful and accommodating. We mentioned we were there for our sons tournament in Rio the following day and without missing a beat they show interest like you're family. Whether they really did care or not it's a simple thing they did that stands out for customer service and helping people feel comfortable and seen instead of just another guest staying there. They showed us on their outlay of the hotel and which exit doors are closest to our room for best parking so we're not left crossing our fingers that we parked close enough. Not alot of hotels do this. While we dont mind extra walking it was again a very nice small attention to detail for their guests.

This hotel was very clean and staff were polite. It is a very basic hotel, however. It has a nice pool area (which we unfortunately didn't get to use). Breakfast was minimal. I did feel safe, but there was nothing near the hotel (you had to get back on the highway and go a few exits to get to anything). In a pinch, I would definitely stay again - but lower my expectations.

The breakfast space was very small--a cramped room. Not the usual room off the lobby in other QIs. The man running the breakfast was very rude, literally yelling at diners to hurry up and get out. The food was not up to QI standards. Waffle batter very thin. However, the room was clean and convenient.
