What guests think

At Days Inn by Wyndham Wytheville, travelers frequently find clean, pet-friendly rooms and welcoming staff in a budget-minded, highway-convenient location, while also noting the older, exterior-entry property shows its age and can be noisy on the highway side.

Many mention easy check-in, nearby dining, and good value for a short overnight stop. Critiques recur around limited or frequently depleted breakfast, inconsistent housekeeping with occasional odors or pests, and maintenance issues such as finicky AC, toilet problems, and out-of-order ice machines or spotty Wi-Fi. Expect a simple overnight stay with variable upkeep.

The room did not smell very good. I think that the carpet may have had some mildew. The hotel had three ice machines. All of them were broken. The breakfast selection was not very good. Staff was nice enough, but did not go out of their way to help with any of our requests. I’m very disappointed because I was booked with two different rooms. Only one of them was actually booked. I had called your site when I booked and was told only one room was booked to me and then when I get to the hotel, they tell me that I have a handicapped room also booked. I have no idea where that information came from because no way did I request a handicapped room plus when I had anticipated there might have been a problem on Thursday. I was told that I was only booked for one room. I’m extremely disappointed, not only with the hotel but with your site

You get what you pay for I guess.the parking lot is crumbling around itself. None of the icemakers on the property worked. It looked like there was a hole in our bathroom ceiling that was poorly tepaired( band aided)The laminate flooring was hollow underneath and squished, and you couldn’t have paid me to sit in the chairs in the lobby.

Last year we stayed and the room was clean and the surroundings where good. This year we entered our room and I noticed it was not vacuumed, toilet was not properly cleaned, there was poop splatters in the toilet, fridge had not been properly cleaned and needed defrosting, microwave needed cleaning, top of head board was not dusted in a long time as I wiped my finger along the top big piece dust fell, my sister's bed had very dark long hair between her sheets. I mentioned a few of these things to the front desk as I checked out and he made no comments or apology on the condition. I also not happy with Expedia as I had a problem with another location and nothing was done and resonse from them.

We stayed here because it was less expensive and we were stopping on a long drive late at night. Check in was easy and the staff was friendly. The beds were clean and that was most important but there were crumbs in the chair and carpet and the AC must leak because the carpet was wet by the unit and smelled musty.

Nasty. Grime, hair, bugs everywhere. I have no clue how this place has such good ratings. I honestly believe they must be fixed because there is no way anybody would give this place a good review. I would have left immediately if it wasn’t like 1 am after a day of travel. Couldn’t wait to get out of this place.

WiFi didn't work on any of 3 devices, and kid at the desk didn't give a crap about the guest's problems. Told me to call some foreign help desk and spend what should have been an hour of my sleep time withn hem. No thanks. Not worth staying atvWyndham properties for that hassle, P.S. all 3 devices worked without any problem at my next rinky dink hotel.

The air conditioner in our room needed replaced. The buttons weren't adjustable. The beds were comfortable but there were stains on the duvet covers. They were obviously replacing the mattresses in the building (which is great) but the old mattresses were sitting outside on the lawn, which looked trashy. The carpets need replaced but otherwise the rooms were pretty clean and tidy.

Our room was facing the highway and the traffic noise was horrible. The evening check-in person charged us an extra $10 for a non-smoking room and we don't smoke. Fortunately, the check-out person the next morning was understanding and returned our $10 stating that we should not have been charged.

Location is super conveniently located to 77/81. Wytheville is a charming town. The room itself was wet and very damp, like inside your tent when you camp. Not sure if the AC couldnt keep up. TV was broken. The bed? No. Very lumpy. The back seat of my car is more comfortable.

Mathew, at check in, did an excellent job in resolving a problem created by the third party I booked thru. He did an outstanding job, and was tremendously helpful, kind and compassionate in resolving a stressful situation. We hope to see him next year when we return. A true professional in the customer service world. Wendi, at check out, was also a pleasure to meet. Together, Virginia hospitality at its finest!

I booked this room because of the dog friendliness and online it said, the king room "sleeps 3". After checking in and seeing there wasn't a pull out sofa i asked for a cot. The front desk said they'd bring it right down. After about an hour the front desk called and said she'd have to wait until the manager came in to get the cot. We waited another 2 hours called front desk (no answer) and then walked down inquiring about the cot. They said, "they were searching for one". They didn't give us extra blankets or pillows for my daughter to sleep on the floor or offer us a two queen room. In the am at checkout it was , "Aw sorry bout that, we have cots". Just wanted to let couples know who were traveling with kids. The king room is a king bed with a couple chairs and a table.
