Being a Baymont, this property surprised us. There is a diner on the property in a separate building. When you walk into the diner, you can smell the cooking oil, and it doesn't smell fresh. We pushed on and had sandwiches, a malt and chips, which were all fine, but that smell lingered in my wife's hair for hours, Luckily I'm bald so it bothered me less. The main reason to mention the diner is its existence alleviates the need in the proprietor's mind to provide any breakfast or coffee. There is a nice, big lounge on the first floor but don't be fooled. That is for the staff only. The hotel consists of two buildings. When we received our key card for a 2xx room I asked where the room was and was disdainfully informed it was upstairs. Duh. Which building? BTW, when you check in you can read all the motivational signs, some handmade and misspelled, Good staff must be hard to come by here. There are no elevators, which is why the woman who checked me in didn't bother to tell me where they were, or that there were none. The hallways are narrow and were blocked with several maid carts when we checked in that afternoon. When we returned after a Texas A&M event we found them left overnight in the hallway as well as a large bag of laundry at the end by the stairs. The room was clean, the AC worked, but the mattress was extremely saggy. My wife and I each found a minimally viable sleeping position and hoped our bladders held until dawn.

Stayed 4 nights

Room smelled awful and was dirty. Trash left behind from previous guests. Door frame had brown stuff all over it. Shower had a brown splatter on wall. Housekeeping never came during our 4 night stay.

The maintenence of the facility's was exceptional they had people working on picking up trash and others cutting grass. The desk lady was very nice and polite. I would recommend this motel to anyone planning a trip

The hotel was nice. It is busy 24 hours a day because of their main clientele working the railroad. It was very clean in the room we stayed in and the AC was cold. Water pressure was AMAZING. Toilets are older low style though. Staff were very nice. Parking was adequate. No elevator to reach the second floor and stairs are a problem for my wife and I. Pillows.........what is it with hotel pillows that are just useless. Whatever detergent they are using on the sheets makes them rough and itchy. Mattresses were very soft.

The property was very clean and the bed linens smelled fresh. The staff was super friendly and pleasant to talk to. However, the property is very dated. There is scraped paint on the doors, and rust around the door frames. The a/c was extremely loud, but functional. We only needed a place to sleep, so it suited our purpose. This is an absolutely no frills place, but the staff and cleanliness make up for that (kudos to the housekeeping staff). Bonus: Penny’s Diner, in the parking lot, had great food and great prices.
