Lancaster Inn & Suites

The staff seemed helpful but then we realized they weren’t really listening to our requests/concerns. The rooms are nice and big and were clean over all but the shower floor in our room was noticeably dirty under the seat . When we told them about this, they still did not clean it. We requested room service and told them what we wanted done and the only thing they did was give us fresh towels and take the old. We asked for the beds to be remade. I stripped the beds and left the bedding on the floor and he just left them there and did not remake the beds. We were told there is only 1 housekeeper. This poor guy! Unacceptable! The pool: the bottom and sides are peeling and debris is floating around the pool. They told me that this was resolved because the pool cleaner came the next day but that won’t resolve the fact that the pool is peeling. More debris is going to surface. There are signs posted for customer laundry, but it leads to an obvious employee laundry/work room. I did not look further into this, so maybe there is customer laundry, but it didn’t seem like it. The doors on the bathrooms in the lobby did not properly close. The Men’s room is usable. The door would not close all the way even if forced. We left 2 days early. We told the staff that we were leaving and they never checked us out. When I called after that, many excuses were made. They didn’t seem to care at all about our concerns and then hung up the phone without a word. Teach your staff customer service!

Good overall! Construction was going on at the time so a little inconvenience. Beautiful sunrise. could use some new washcloths bath towels, and shower curtains. But was clean!

Breakfast was good.

Hallway carpets should be kept cleaner

We arrived and asked about the noise during construction. We were told no noise from construction due to a delay in materials. All night while we were trying to sleep, there was a pump (the maintenance man told us) making constant noises every 1-2 minutes or more all night long. The bathroom wall was missing a shelf, so holes in the wall above and below the toilet. The worst was waking up and moving the blanket and sheets to find what looked like (most definitely was) blood stains on the sheets. Manager apologized and said he’ll refund half the stay, but we haven’t heard anything back yet. Pool was dirty and water fountains and vending machines didn’t work. Sleepless in Lancaster Amish country!
