What guests think

At Studio 6 Suites Clarion, PA, travelers describe a budget stop just off I-80 with very mixed experiences: friendly staff and some clean, spacious rooms, but many reports of poor cleanliness, strong odors, pests, and a dated, worn property.

Facilities draw repeated criticism: the outdoor pool is often closed or dirty, some exterior doors don't lock, the fitness room or equipment is unreliable, and the building lacks an elevator. Rooms are basic and dated; guests cite broken or weak A/C, TV or cable problems, missing fridges despite bookings, flat pillows and uncomfortable beds, and occasional noise through thin walls or adjoining doors. Dining is limited to coffee for many stays, but the attached Mexican restaurant is a consistent bright spot. Expect a no-frills, low-price stop where reliability varies by room.

The front desk person was super nice, BUT this place is the most disgusting, uncleaned place ive ever stayed at. The pictures on the site are not what is its like now. Completely run down. They say they have a pool, but it hasent been cleaned in a very long time and was closed.

The hotel was not secure. The doors from the hallways to the outside were either propped open or in one case the lock was broken and the door unable to close. There were a few flying insects in my room like fruit flies. The clerk at the counter was courteous, and the food at the attached restaurant was pretty good. Other than that, I can't say much positive about this location.

I paid twice for the room because the reservation I made through Expedia wasn’t showing up in the system. I talked to Expedia before arriving, who talked to the management at the hotel and said they would have a room for us when we arrived and we would not have to pay again. Well, someone lied and we did not have a room waiting for us. So I paid a second time for a room with a tv that didn’t work, what looked like bloody smears on the bedskirt of one of the beds, and we didn’t need to use the key to get into our room because it never locked. Also the side door of the building which was supposed to be key-entry only never locked. Expedia is trash, which I now know and I will never use it again.

This is a cheap, put-your-head-down on the pillow and leave early the next morning for the next day’s drive. Plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. It’s also right off I 80. Applebee’s is just yards away and there are also places across the road. The beds were fine but the bathroom had mold in the shower. Golf course very close for those so inclined.

It was a place to stay for the night. Not the worst but not good. The place needs an massive update. Staffing could use with proper uniforms. It was hard to tell who was working and who wasn't. The rooms bathroom was dirty. In fact the whole building smelled, all glass windows were smeared and fogged. I felt like I was in an old gym.
