No pool that why i didn’t like it

Convenient parking out front without the typical expensive valet charge of most hotels and hotel was nice and clean.

This is where it’s not quite a 5. The staff was great and the place was clean but the hotel itself is dated and repairs haven’t been kept up with. Specifically the elevators and the ice machines. Had to go to the 12th floor from the 18th to find a working ice machine and every elevator I ride had some sort of physical damage to the interior. This hotel could use a facelift as it’s all cosmetic

Musky, cigarette smell. When I told staff they offered to spray air freshener but that would have made it worse.

The room was not clean when I arrived, I advice the front desk there was a lot of hair in the sink. They proceeded to clean properly. Shower gel ran out after the second night, notified twice the front desk, it never got replenished.

So disappointed. Normally the DoubleTree is wonderful. Not this one. There was a hole in the bathroom ceiling. The shower floor was dirty. There was dirt on the bathroom floor. I asked for the room to be cleaned, it was not. Terrible stay.

The area was conveniently located with plenty of well-lit parking. The staff at check in and checkout were friendly and made the process easy. Free coffee in the lobby area in the morning was nice. The room was clean but it could use a few improvements/touch-ups. There was an exposed pipe in the ceiling of the shower, missing tile around the shower faucet, chipped paint on the painted column in the room, either mold or lots of dust under the air vent into the room and some rust showing on some screws in the bathroom ceiling. Nothing major but when paying for a hotel stay details matter.

Great stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dallas. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was bustling but quiet—no noise from room to room to keep you from sleeping. The staff were absolutely perfect, in my opinion. Friendly and professional, they made me feel welcome and looked after but not pestered. Every single staff member with whom I interacted was proactively and genuine from check-in to the bar/restaurant area. The hotel itself is beautiful, older but not outdated by any means. I could hear street noise from loud cars outside, but I don’t think that could be prevented and it didn’t keep me from sleeping. Considering the look, feel, service, features, and amenities it was more than worth the cost.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Dallas. The condition of the bathroom was unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one under the Hilton name. • Cleanliness: The bathtub was filthy, with peeling finish, mold and mildew in the corners, and an overall smell of dampness throughout the room. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, which made the odor worse. • Safety: I stepped on a random screw that had come loose and was lying on the bathroom floor – barefoot. This is a major safety hazard and should never happen in a guestroom. • Functionality: The shower did not drain properly, leaving me standing in several inches of water. The entire experience felt unsanitary and unsafe. • Overall Condition: The bathroom fixtures were rusty, the caulking was black and peeling, and the room smelled strongly of mold and mildew. I expected better from a DoubleTree property. This was not just uncomfortable, but a health and safety concern. I will be contacting management directly about this experience, as the room should have been taken out of service until properly cleaned, repaired, and ventilated.

Hotel was fine for a quick overnight. Shower didn’t drain, was old and dated. Stayed right by the exercise room and elevator— not ideal.

Beautiful view, easy parking, comfy bed and pillows, and easy check in and out. I wash we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the lovely lobby bar and fitness room.

Rooms are tired and worn out...ripped carpet, stained furniture...somewhat nasty...needs refunishment

This was one of the best Hotels I’ve stayed in. The Hilton is already reputable but this hotel was beautiful, stayed on the 20th floor and the panoramic view from the room looking over the city is what set the tone! I will always book this hotel hopefully the same room! 😅

I had an amazing stay at this Doubletree. The room was clean and well kept and the corner room with panoramic windows was beautiful! The staff were respectful, and the free chocolate chip cookie was a plus. I will definitely be booking again.

Good access to 75. My room was on the East end of the hotel and unfortunately the DART rail was right below, which generated a lot of noise. I also found the pillow top bed too soft for a restful nights sleep.

Mattresses were old and compressed. I had to sleep in the middle to get any firmness. No microwave in the room, and fridge was just an old minibar one that didn't cool well at all. Almost had to waste my food. Went to get ice and there are no longer working ice machines on the floors. No alarm clock. Breakfast is not included (has to be requested separately). Exercise bike had broken seat in the fitness center. Overall, felt safe, but won't stay here again. For less money, could get a lot more elsewhere.

We were unable to sleep the first night because the people next door were being so loud. I reported it the next day and I was told that they have checked out and would not be an issue anymore. This was a lie because the same people were being loud the next night. If I had known this, I would have requested to be moved to a more quiet location. The noise stopped after I called the front desk but that didn’t make up for us being woken up again at 1am. We were staying here with our baby so this situation was very frustrating. Did not get a peaceful night sleep here. Also, my room was charged for an item from their store but neither my husband or I bought anything. I called the Hotel when I noticed the charge after we checked out and I was told they would look into it but they can’t guarantee anything can be done about it because it was charged to our room. Don’t bother staying at this hotel.

Check in experience was terrible. They said they couldn’t find my reservation because it was made through a 3rd party. Had to wait over an hour to get the situation sorted out.

Front Desk Dakota was so great. Great customer service. I will definitely stay here again

We’ve been booking this hotel through Expedia for years when visiting family in Dallas with no issues but have noticed a decline in the property and staff our last two times staying there. The last time we stayed there was a power outage. This time there was a mixup in the check-in date which we confirmed with Expedia and the hotel verbally before checking in. The Double Tree did not update the checkin date on their end and instead of looking at the confirmation emails and/or verifying with Expedia they said we should pay for the room again through the hotel at a higher rate and get a refund from Expedia. I declined and asked if they would look at the confirmation email which he said sure sir I see the date on the email and I’ll get a manager to help you all out with this. Instead a security guard came and we waited another 15 minutes for the manager to arrive. After showing the manager the confirmation emails that we had already taken the necessary actions that he was suggesting, he wouldn’t even look at them and said quote “you people do this all the time”, this was not racial but highly disrespectful. He treated us as if we were trying to scam him. My wife then contacted an Expedia rep who was able to confirm our reservation (which was already in their system but had been overlooked) they finally handed us the keys to the room. No apologies from the manager. We only booked to change our clothes before dinner for our 13th wedding anniversary. Never staying there again.

The staff was beyond awesome. My room was great.

It was really awesome to reserve a Junior Suite and get a deluxe king room instead. The room switch was not mentioned as we checked in and we had to do all the leg work to try and solve the situation. Now I’m having to deal with Hilton and Hotels.com to try and get the price of the rooms refunded which Hilton denied already. What kind of service is this? The fact that the hotel didn’t do anything to try and rectify the fact that they didn’t have the room we reserved is beyond ridiculous.

My wife left a dress in the room by mistake and we promptly reported that to hotel management and housekeeping the next day when we arrived home. We had no response from housekeeping despite 3 subsequent phone calls and were told by hotel management 5 days later that housekeeping could find no record of locating the dress. Both my wife and I are quite certain that the item was left in the room. We won't be staying at the property again despite regular trips to Dallas but will find another hotel with honest employees.

I wanted to add an update to this review. I have been staying at this hotel for the past almost 3 years, as my daughter is a student at a nearby university. I have had the opportunity to try all of the recommended hotels in the area and this hotel is far and away the best hotel in the area. The hotel is consistently spotless, the mattresses are so comfortable, and the room is always fully stocked with everything that I need. In addition, I always feel so welcomed to when I arrive at the front desk. They accommodate my special requests, if I have them, and are always so gracious! Honestly, if you’re looking for a great hotel near the local campus, this is the place to stay. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Great stay this past week at DoubleTree Hilton Dallas (near SMU campus). Friendly and helpful staff, nicely updated room with a comfortable mattress (not often found at hotels these days!) and beautiful view. Fitness center was well outfitted with cardio, free weights and cables. Water and towels provided in Fitness Center. Room was cleaned upon request and during the time frame I specified. Staff was very accommodating. Will definitely stay again!

At first I was disappointed because my room wasn't clean upon arrival and I had to wipe down the fridge but Dakota at the front desk service made up for it. She was extremely polite and made sure my entire room was cleaned immediately. The hotel is a little dated but the location is perfect for nearby shopping and food

Front desk let us check in early and it was such a nice surprise- we were there for a football game so the extra hour was nice!! Staff was amazing. I definitely recommend this hotel!!

The location was great. Easy access to lots of options, dining, shopping and the Arboretum.

Chose this hotel due to its proximity to N. Park Center and great shopping. About five minutes away via Uber concierge was helpful and check-in was quick. Recommend.!

The hotel was fine for corporate travelers. Can’t walk anywhere besides the depressing mall adjacent with a small deli type lunch place during the day. Dinner menu was fine, breakfast was nice.

Clean and near the mall. You will need a car to get around and to major places unless you uber.

Easy access, near SMU and next to main Dallas Mall

I had a great stay but it could have been better if the room was somewhat sound proof from the train kept me up at nights sometimes and the ventilation was not that good most of the times it was bit dry.

I like the this hotel because parking is free and the hotel area is a walk over to go to Shopping Center, Whole Foods market was very convenient but when we went to the hotel restaurant, there’s only one server working is very slow and there’s some our food is very late and food was cold and I didn’t like it and also start working at the front and I was just standing but they never showed up so they need to hire more people to work

A very expensive hotel that is well located but misses on the details. For instance: - They have no coffee in the lobby in the morning- you have to go to the restaurant, find a server and pay $6. - There are two water bottles is your room and charge $3 ea. At $350/night room it felt like they were just being cheap. - There is limited room service times so I did Door Dash during the football games.

Sure wish they had complimentary breakfasts. Breakfast prices were pretty steep. Should have a full mirror in the room so two people can get ready at the same time, and one doesn't have to wait for the bathroom to vacate!

The hotel is so well located, plus parking is free, which is rare in Dallas. Rooms are spacious, with nice bedding. My only problem, was the restaurant. We had breakfast 2 days. Food is very, very marginal

The hotel was really nice, and conveniently located by the highway. The in-hotel restaurant was kind of lackluster, and did not offer too much that was of any real quality. Mostly "bar food". Other than that, the staff was super-friendly, and the room was clean and nice, with an expansive view of the surrounding city outside the window. But the real highlight of staying at a DoubleTree is the warm chocolate chip cookies. Simply the best!
