Even though they are doing construction, it was a clean and quiet overnight stay while traveling on the turnpike. (The Cuyahoga Valley National Park is also a nice place to walk and move around after a day of traveling.) Lots of restaurants in the area—and the beautiful neighboring town of Hudson. (Highly recommend Hudson’s Restaurant!) Staff were friendly, welcoming, and had a good night of rest!

This was our first time in the area and I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The staff was friendly and the amenities were good - the pool was open and the equipment worked in the fitness center!!! Breakfast was a nice surprise and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for eating and shopping and you were only a short drive to Kent State

Good location near restaurant shopping. Hotel lobby is under construction. Elevator is in need of replacement. Rooms were a good size with nice amenities and clean. Breakfast was in a meeting room standard fare for free hotel breakfast would stay again if in the area when construction is complete

Excellent and quick check-in. The room was flexible due to the need for extra kids. I would stay here again. The pool needs a tiny tidy-up, but other than having it entirely to ourselves, it was wonderful.

Loved t location Staff was very helpful and courteous. Rooms were very comfortable. The pool was in horrible shape Film on t surface and green mold on t steps I let t front desk know… she said she was sorry but that it was cleaned every week… Clearly she should have looked at it and called t pool company to clean it … it truly was disgusting… I wouldn’t get in and no way I would let my gkids in it.

This hotel had construction going on in the lobby. The clerk said the rooms had recently been re-modeled..... We wern't happy and almost checked out. The desk chair had stains on it. The tile floors had multiple spots on them. The desk top was not cleaned properly. The shower install had glue marks around the edges near the floor and should have been caulked. Only had 4 handicapped parking spaces. Over $700 for 4 nights in a Holiday Inn Express like this is way too much in my opinion.

The pool was dirty (cloudy, had a film across the top of the water, dead bugs) and had mud all over the floor around it. The pool bathroom had wet wadded up toilet paper all over the floor, so clearly no one was on duty to be cleaning up. The room itself had mud in the shower and beer/something yellow splattered up the wall by the trashcan and I killed three bugs in the kitchenette area. The pillows were all different, lumpy and not quality pillows like at every other Holiday Inn I’ve stayed at. Worst yet, the breakfast was inexcusable and not edible (picture included). The elevator was broken. This was honestly a horrible stay. The only good part was that both check in ladies were friendly and professional, and the remodeled rooms were beautiful to look at. I would never come back to this location, and I never leave bad reviews.

My room smelled like marijuana. I asked for another room - the only suggestion they offered was to give me air freshener. Could hear the guests in the adjacent room. Not a very good insulation. The bathrooms were dirty with peeling wall paper and some mold on the walls. Not a great experience for the price.

The hotel is under renovation. It’s not advertisedI anywhere . The shower is dirty with lots of hair!!! It’s completely unacceptable. When we asked to change the room, we were offered the room smelled like cigarette smoke. We paid for non smoking room. It’s the worst experience ever.

This property is clearly in the middle of renovations so I’m hesitant to be too critical. My family stopped at this spot because it’s along the highway on our long drive home after visiting family for Easter. There were signs about construction starting in the morning which is fine. But my main concern is that the large tiles in the bathroom were clearly not properly secured, one of them I could easily lift up on my own it was totally separated from the grout. I was worried my young children would lift it up or get their feet pinched between the tiles. It was not busy and I’m sure they must have had other rooms available that weren’t unfinished but after getting to the room after midnight with young children just trying to sleep for a few hours and continue our drive early in the morning it didn’t seem worth it to complain and switch rooms. I do not think that room should have been assigned to guests in its condition and it would be clear to anyone who stepped into that bathroom.

Staff was friendly, sadly every time you will find them outside smoking by the door not at the front desk. the room was clean but run down condition. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall. The bathroom had water damage on walls and on the door, tub was a jetted tub that did not work. the pool was unkept, you could scrape off the grime of the pool walls. Bathroom in pool was not in good condition, Mold and rust was everywhere. Breakfast was good.

The staff is very kind and they are redoing the hotel but it was not a big deal. We were in room 210 and the bed was broke and you couldn't even sleep. Springs in your back. If you stay here avoid room 210.

The place itself is amazing. Staff was mostly great. Internet was terrible. It literally changed depending on where you sat in the room. My husband was told to “walk around the room” to get access. That’s really the only down side to the place.everything else rocked

Everything was fine and fast with check in. However, after we were deeply asleep, the front desk called the room to let us know our credit card had not cleared. I opened my CC app and could clearly see that it had cleared. I got up, got dressed, and found my way to the front desk. I showed her the credit card app. She would take it up with her supervisor. But I was now awake. And the person in the room on the other side of the wall from our bed was snoring so loudly that I thought it was my spouse. Alas. Breakfast made up for it all. I do love the consistency of HIE's breakfast. Sweet cinnamon rolls cure all.

Was a pleasant 4-night stay. Great staff. Good breakfast. Clean room. There is remodeling going on in the main entrance, but this did not affect our stay in any way. It's close to shopping. It's also a short drive to Kent for any parents who are planning to visit students or attending grad ceremonies. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for a week and never really had a full cleaning of the room including changing of towels. We occupied the room most days until after noon so maybe that’s why. I would like to point out that some cash (quite a bit) fell out of a pocket and the maid placed it on the desk. We appreciate her honesty as we would have been wondering where we lost it. There is a renovation going on in the lobby but we were never disturbed by the noise. I’d give the breakfast 3/5 stars.

The room was nice and the staff friendly. I was upset that there were no cinnamon buns during breakfast, and the pancake machine was not working. I have a prefer competitive two hotels and prefer Holiday Inn express for the cinnamon buns!
