At Coshocton Village Inn & Suites, travellers consistently note very clean spaces, an above-average hot breakfast, and comfortable stays in a convenient location near restaurants, Roscoe Village, and the river, making it a reliable base for visiting the area.

Rooms are generally comfortable, though several guests note thin walls, late-night noise, and some firm or worn mattresses. The indoor pool and hot tub are popular when open, but periodic closures or maintenance issues have disappointed some stays, and the elevator can be slow or limited. Service is widely praised as helpful and accommodating, with a few reports of rudeness or conflicts at the front desk. Starting to show its age but otherwise clean and comfortable. Walls could be a bit more soundproof. Would have liked to know that the pool and hot tub were closed for renovation before I selected this hotel.

From the lobby to the hallways ( and other common areas ) to our room.... the CVI & S was clean and comfortable. The property was easy to reach from a nearby state route, as well as convenient to local features, restaurants, and shopping. Of equal importance, our interactions with the staff - which probably numbered about 5 - proved to be very enjoyable. From the front desk workers to members of the cleaning staff, they were all polite, pleasant, and friendly.

The front desk agent is either demon possessed or possibly mentally ill. Her body odor is so strong that permeates through her perfume. She attempted to give my children (ages 5 & 3) crayons & coloring books, but they ran away from her and hid behind me at our table in the dining room. I asked them if they wanted me to go with them to accept the coloring books. They agreed, so we walked over to the agent together. She asked me what the children were afraid of; I explained that the children are afraid of people. She turned away angrily while stating that she has a bubbly, outgoing personality and that they clearly misjudged her”. After the agent repositioned herself behind the front desk counter, she went on a tirade of wild accusations involving racism, in that her belief was that when I said the children are afraid of people, she knew that I really meant black people. The conversation deteriorated into a full blown argument. The hotel manager subsequently emerged and instructed the desk agent three separate times to “walk away”. The agent openly refused. I explained to the hotel manager that my children are afraid of strangers and the hotel manager agreed that her children react the same way. I turned to the desk agent and said, “nobody cares what color you are, people just don’t want to be called racist because things don’t go they way you want them to. Don’t play the race card with me.” The manager apologized for agents behavior and we subsequently checked-out.

Staff were wonderful and friendly. I was in town for a funeral and I had a flat tire so I needed to extend my stay for one more day. Rob at the front desk was great. He got me into a room for a second night and on his way home called my room to offer his air compressor in the car to get the flat up and running until I could get to a garage. The ladies who made the breakfast were super friendly and attentive. Friendly staff.
