What guests think

At Quality Inn North Platte, travelers often find a reliable, budget-friendly stop with clean, comfortable rooms, a well-liked hot breakfast, and a convenient location near I-80 and the lakeside Veterans Memorial park.

Reviews frequently note dated bathrooms, occasional musty or pet odors, and maintenance issues like worn tubs, loose fixtures, or humidity. Service is often friendly and helpful, but some guests report curt front-desk interactions and strict pet and occupancy policies. Amenities are basic: the indoor pool's temperature and upkeep vary, there is no elevator, and breakfast is popular though the coffee disappoints. Expect a straightforward, good-value overnight stop with trade-offs typical of an older property.

This place was perfect as we were on a road trip and needed a place that allowed dogs. The room was clean(I check). They were great about letting us have our two fur babies, and gave us a room by a back door, though they did charge a pet fee for each dog. The breakfast was very good. Good value for the price.

Pet Owners Beware! This is supposed to be a pet friendly hotel but they entrap you into paying $250 if you do not tell them you have a pet when checking in. We did not know this when checking in with our small hypo allergenic dog. There is a digital document you sign where there is a “accept” button to their terms. You can hit agree before you reach the end (where the instructions are to declare the pet) and it's not clear you are supposed to continue reading. When one is driving for 10 hours and tired its easy to miss. There should be signage at the front desk letting you know this. When we checked out they asked if we have a pet. We said yes. They told us they were charging us $250 for not declaring our pet. They refused to work with us and reverse the charge or give us a warning, although our room was very clean. They do not value their customers. It's not a way to treat people. $250 is not small change. In addition the bathrooms are old and have mold and the building could use a refresh.

On the website it looks very nice after showing up to hotel checked in at 1 in the morning so we were looking for some good sleep. Was hit in the face with the smell of animal urine. Which we didn't even reserve a dog friendly room due to no pets with us. And the sheet once we went to lay down found some old food stuck to it or something we laid towels down to lay on cause we were so tired and i didn't even use the covers.i will never stay there again with my family. Don't like smelling animal urine.

Our room was in desperate need of repair and updating. The door of the mini fridge would not shut, nor would the bathroom door. Shower was chipped up but the room itself seemed pretty clean. Staff seemed nice enough, breakfast was typical. There should be better options in town for the price but it was ok for a one night stay.

Ok stop for one night. Reasonable price. Can definitely tell this building had a different purpose before being a hotel. Layout was odd. Main areas are outdated, bathrooms are old, tubs are stained. The slot machines by the ice machine in the building are odd. Got the job done for a one night stay on a roadtrip just for sleep

We arrived after driving 10 hours with 2 children who had been throwing up. They told me I couldn’t put my whole family in the room or they were going to charge me $250. This forced me to have to book a separate room for my 2 older (but still minors) children. The staff showed zero empathy while I held my sick baby who had been throwing up for the past 4 hours. The rooms were mediocre and the floors were very dirty. I was trying to be cost effective by choosing a Quality Inn, but that was a mistake, one I won’t make again in the future. I’ll be using Marriott and Hilton from now on. To add to the list of poor service, our friends who were traveling with us were charged an additional $30 for having 4 people in their 2 queen room.
