Victorian Inn

Front desk staff was so warm and helpful! Beds were comfy, sheets smelled clean. Hallways were dirty, no ac in halls and common areas, breakfast was pretty much inedible, a group of men was partying in the parking lot, very noisy. We had the room next door turn on a huge music system at around 2am. Unbelievably loud! The front desk staff came up and dealt with it quickly. Sadly, one of the worst stays we've ever had anywhere.

All I can say is yuck! Don’t stay here.

It was fine.

Made reservation weeks ahead for two nights for a suite. We checked in early and I asked for a first floor room away from the loud main road, got neither from the desk attendant that was clearly unhappy to be there. Told to come back in an hour because the room was being “cleaned”. Came back and the room was filthy everywhere. Bathroom had hair in the tub, on the toilet, the mirror was wiped down with a dirty rag. Food bits on the floor, on the couch (pizza bits, French fries). Just gross, dirt and grime everywhere. Called the desk attendant and she came up to sweep up the floor and wiped down the bathroom mirror. We were stuck for the night unfortunately. Took a shower, no hot water, and when I stepped out onto the towel on floor, the pressure of my wet foot pulled up a brown nasty dirt. At bedtime, Wife pulled up a corner of the bedding (no fitted sheet) as nd there was a nasty stain that looked like blood. The What’s infuriating is that this hotel got pretty decent rating for Beatrice, NE and I actually paid more than some chain hotels nearby. It was obvious that the hotel is run by a family and their clientele are oil & gas, construction workers. That’s fine but don’t tell me that you cleaned up the room. I did fill out the Expedia check in survey and never heard from the property manager. I ended up not staying the second night and when checking out, the staff didn’t seem to care that we cut short our stay. So I ended up paying 30% more to stay elsewhere the 2nd night.
