What guests think

Best Western Vicksburg is an older, motel-style property just off I-20 where many guests praise clean rooms, friendly staff, and a hot, plentiful breakfast, while others note dated areas, occasional odors, and maintenance or noise issues.

Facilities include an indoor or semi-covered pool that some found cold or closed, no elevator to second-floor rooms, ample parking, and pet-friendly policies with fees that several guests considered high; periodic equipment outages were also noted. The location is convenient for the Vicksburg National Military Park and nearby eateries, though the entrance can be hard to find and the surrounding area feels older to some. Expect a straightforward, good-value stopover if you’re comfortable with an older, exterior-entry layout.

We had a pleasant stay. From pictures it looks like a hotels but it's a motel. Plenty of parking. Older building, older AC units have a mildew smell. Room was decent. Location was great. Staff and cleanliness was great. Staff was polite and courteous. They have a pool but it is not heated and semi covered. Breakfast is pretty much the same everyday but is served hot has eggs, waffles, sausages, gritts, cereal, fruits, juice, yogurt, tea & coffee etc. Coffee was pretty crappy all the days we were there. Overall it was a good stay. Close to everything just off i20.

I hurt my knee recently and when I requested a room on the first floor I was told it would be an extra $40. I was disappointed that there was an extra charge so I kept the room up the stairs. There wasn’t an elevator either.

this is an old holiday inn with outside door access. The place hasnt been upgraded in years. i think the housekeepers do the best they can. Plus, this place had the highest pet fee of 4 places we stayed. Desk staff were generally friendly.

Morning front desk persons were rude with several guests. This included our family as we were asking about the fact that the breakfast was not restocked. At 7:45 in the morning, we were told that they were not providing any juices or milk for cereals, leaving only water. In the rooms, you hear every person walking by your room, every person showering in adjacent rooms, and any cars passing in the area. We travel constantly and often use BW, but we will no longer after this hot mess.

Not the best experience. The lobby smells. Very outdated. Beds in our room were horrible. Water pressure in the shower was so strong that the shower curtain couldn’t stay in and the bathroom flooded. The breakfast area is way too small and people were standing eating due to not enough tables or chairs because you’re not allowed to leave the area with the drinks and food and there’s an actual sign saying that. It was for only one very sleepless night and we were very happy to leave.

The location was okay. We were only there to sleep and grab a quick bite in the morning. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were not, the room smelled musty and like smoke. The headrest was peeling off and there were holes in the bedding … breakfast was not the greatest. The waffle batter was rancid and the girl that worked the kitchen smelled it and said it was fine. Everyone was throwing away the waffles but she said no one had complained and let the batter in. There were your typical scrambled eggs and sausage links. Cereal, yogurt, and some toast. Biscuits and gravy plus oatmeal and grits. I didn’t eat much but at least they had breakfast. The clerk at night was very nice, tge one in the morning was not.
