The facility is in decent shape compared to the surrounding casinos. One thing that I did not like was the pool. What a joke that one is. It's about big enough for 4 people!!!

Check in was great, friendly staff. Room was nice and comfortable. Then we went to eat and have a couple drinks. We had the buffet for $75 it was terrible! Drinks were ok in the bar and grill. Then the main reason we came was to relax in the hot tub pool area which was closed due to construction. We were never told it was closed due to construction even when we asked the check in lady where it was. Overall we went to bed disappointed. Unless you're just gambling and having drinks that's all this place was good for. Will not return or recommend!

A group of friends and I booked three separate rooms for one night while seeing a show at the Horseshow. During the stay all three rooms had electronic keys that wouldn't work and had to be replaced in the front lobby. It happened to my keys three times. Twice at night and then the next morning. Two of the times I had to wait outside the room for a security officer to reset the lock (about a 15 to 20 minute wait) each time. Two of four elevators were out of service which didn't help the repeat front lobby visits for keys. Not cool for the price paid.

First of all it was our first time staying at the gold strike casino we usually always did horseshoe casino. Our first room on floor 30 we walked into our room and first thing we seen was a cockroach in the bathroom as well as dirty dirty toilets! Blew my mind! Then we got transferred to another room which was that much better but we didn’t see another coach roach on that floor on 12. I just feel like they should of offered us a free stay due to this nasty situation but no we had to move to another floor! Still being scared we would bring any kind of creature's back home with us (let’s pray). Gave us a free buffet due to our troubles psh that’s just not sitting well with me still.

Rooms felt like a roadside motel—dirty and everything in the hotel smelled like cigarette smoke. If you aren’t a smoker, don’t stay here. The worst part about this hotel was the towels. Every single towel in both rooms had poop streak stains on them. I am not kidding—it was awful.

We stayed in room 2747 One of the pillow cases had something all over it looked like it wasn’t washed. The tile floor in the room was really sticky the carpet also felt dirty and sticky like it needs steamed cleaned or something. We wore our sandals the entire time in the room. The towels looked really dingy or dirty had something on 2 of them. Food service was excellent ordered a pizza it was delicious. We have stayed here several times and this was the only time we’ve had this happen where nothing looked clean. Also had to turn the air on 65 and leave it running the entire time auto would not kick on until it was hot in the room.

We had a great time during our stay. We booked a King- non smoking room but we think the room had previously been used as a smoking room because it still reeked like stale cigarettes. As former smokers, we smelled it right away. Luckily we had brought a can of air freshener with us. We would have given an excellent rating if not for this. Other than this, our stay was great!

Check in was horrible to say the least. The girl “Diamond “ at front desk definitely isn’t the most pleasant person. We reserved a smoking room and of course didn’t receive that and was told first come basis which is understandable if you haven’t already made reservations and paid for the room like we did. Then we asked her where to park and only answer we received was in parking garage which is great if we had an idea of where to go considering we were on the 27th floor, lots of luggage and no and no cart in sight to use for luggage. When we arrived to our room there were no trash bags in garage cans, no wash cloths and room definitely didn’t smell clean. It’s pretty sad after people travel 8-9 hours and arrive to check in there motel you have to deal with a miserable and snotty front desk attendant and any question we asked her she looked at us like we were stupid pretty much. This morning at check out everything was great there was an older lady checking people out and she was great not to mention very respectful! Needless to say when we checked out this morning we decided to not check back in at gold strike , we took our money & business to the horseshoe next door.

The room was nice. Clean, spacious, &comfortable bed. We enjoyed the casino.. some super nice/friendly staff, some not so pleasant. Did not really enjoy the buffet for supper… food definitely not up to par with the price! Advertised on website morning breakfast buffet, only to get downstairs & buffet closed. Had to go to a different casino to have breakfast. We then went back to our room around 10:30am to get our things to checkout. That’s when the nightmare begins.. going up to our room there was only 1 of 4 elevators working so it took us a minute to be able to get up to the room. We get to our room, passing some other guest in the hallway which were locked out of their room as a result of their keys no longer working. We then encountered the same thing. I go & use the phone by the elevator to contact the front desk… after the lady telling me I needed to speak up because she couldn’t understand a word I was saying on their telephone, she finally understood me with the only offer to help was ME coming down to the front desk and get another key card. No attempts by their staff to accommodate the problem.. well after a long weight along with other guest trying to leave the floor ( actually multiple guest on all 15 floors trying to use the 1 functioning elevator), I got down to get my new keys. Then go back for another long wait to go back up to the room. Keys worked, gathered out belongings & back to the elevator & WAIT! It took us over 1 hour to depart. Staffs response- sorry

Not worth the money!! Ive never checked into a hotel/resort and not been acknowledged by staff. It almost amazed me. The employee simply said ," ID."when I approached the check in desk. Upon giving her my ID she did some clicking and looked back up and said ," swipe your credit card there." Indicating the pad to the left. I swiped and a minute of clicking later she handed me a tiny card sleeve with our room cards. No room number or direcetuins were given. She then ,literally , called over my shoulder to another employee and started a conversation with them. Half the elevators were out of service. The room was clean , pillows soft and bed was firm , yet not uncomfortable. Cleaning services / towels and etc. arent provided unless requested. Not a huge issue since we were only staying 2 nights. I have no idea why they charge a resort fee when all the amenities listed are unavailable. The jacuzzi was out of order and drained . The pool had a slight haze to the water , so much so ,that we decided not to get in. No pool so we decided to go see the spa. They were closed hours earlier then the time stated on the signage . We than went back to the room to relax & just order some food up to the room.. guess what??? Room service was also not availible!! I booked and paid through Expedia. When I arrived at hotel they charged me an additional 79 dollars. I asked why I was being charged twice for the room. The lady at the desk became argumentative and stated I booked through a third party and they don’t know what they charged me so we are charging you. I stated the room was already paid for. Reply doesn’t matter! Never will stay there again!!

Our room was excellent. We tried to eat at two different restaurants that was not successful. We were seated but never waited in at the restaurant where it was sports related. We left there and went to the restaurant by the new member check in. We waited 15 minutes at least in line and some customers walked up in the other line and were immediately waited on. We then went to the Steakhouse and were very pleased. The food and the service were above expectations.
