What guests think

At America Best Value Inn Kosciusko, reviews describe an older, budget property with mixed cleanliness and service: many found rooms clean and staff friendly, while others reported dirty rooms, pests, and brusque interactions or slow, inconsistent help.

Rooms are basic and dated, with occasional noise, worn pillows or hard beds, but some renovated spaces and strong shower pressure receive praise. Amenities feel limited: several guests reported the advertised breakfast minimal or unavailable and the pool closed or unappealing, while parking is convenient. It was an ok place to stop for the night. The pool was pure nasty to look at, i understand it was off season but still green murky water is not appealing. The website said a daily deluxe continental breakfast, served from 6-9. I went at 0800 and there was 3 mini muffins and no coffee and some orange juice. not so deluxe

Manager/owner? made me wait while he tried to resolve a dispute with Expedia about state taxes that had nothing to do with me. Things like that should be done at other times, not while a customer is trying to check in. Also they stopped serving breakfast for some reason and have the tables and chairs weirdly stored in the lobby. Why don't they serve the usual modest cereal etc anymore? Note that the whole building looks to be on its last legs and needs renovation.

The property is just older, in a small town that can’t support nicer facilities. It was clean and basically fine for one night, but the air conditioner was noisy. There were two ugly shipping containers adjacent to the parking lot and the flower beds by the office badly needed some attention. Not a great first impression. That said, the other lodgings in town didn’t appear to be any better.

I wish I had followed my first mind not to book this online. I switched to 3 different rooms due to cleanliness. Pubic hair and urine were on the rim of the toilet in one room. Residue from defecation was in the bottom of another room. The third room had some type of splatter all over the hose of a hair dryer and the coffee maker was filthy. I could not get a refund because I booked online. I bought cleaning supplies to clean the room, but I decided to count my loss and found a family friend to stay with. Definitely was my worst hotel experience.

Check-in went ok. The room itself was not the cleanest. The floors were sticky, the lamps were all covered in dust, there was hairs and you could tell the floors between the bedside table have never been swept. The shower head sprayed all different directions and would get the floor wet. The sink constantly dripped water. The motel really needs to be updated and renovated. We won't be booking here in the future.

When we arrived and unloaded our luggage into the room, we heard the smoke alarm "beeping" indication of low battery. We called the front desk and was told someone would be up shortly to check it out. No one ever came! We then noticed the battery was just hanging, not connected. We connected it. Fridge was quite old with rust present on the outside.

Over all the room wasnt bad. Room freshly painted so there was paint drops everywhere, beds appeared new, & shower had amazing pressure along with being hot. The floors had a sandy film. They want to charge $20 for checking in before 2pm with or without access to a room. Checkin after midnight was very slow and cumbersome.

It is just slightly below what you would expect from a $70 a night room. Very old hotel, decently kept but very out of date. If you are looking for a place to just lay your head for the evening, it's probably just fine - that's all I used it for and it worked. GREAT water pressure.

Not a bad motel but the best things about it were that it’s within driving distance of Jason’s Southern Table for dinner - biggest damn pork chop I’ve ever seen … it was GREAT! … and Rosella’s cafe for breakfast - a great experience meeting Miss Dee. And it’s only a block ride to get back on the Natchez Trace. Not the fanciest place to stay, and not much in the way of breakfast, but suitable if you’re doing the Trace on a budget.
