The hotel was really nice. Check in was smooth. The room was clean and the continental breakfast had a variety of hot and cold options. The only issue I had was that the pool is not open right now (staff said it was for renovations). This was not disclosed to me until I asked about the hours that it was open/available to use. The primary reason I booked this particular hotel was because of the pool. That was a bummer, but other than that I would definitely recommend this hotel and if I ever visit Grand Rapids again, I will be staying here!

Hot tub has been closed since COVID and pool is closed for renovation—didn’t see this on website, booked through Expedia; water pressure in hotel is down for hot water—showers are warm at best with poor pressure; was booked in a pet friendly room (not requested) it was so musty smelling; breakfast service on the weekend was very slow, had to ask twice to get things refilled; but on Monday morning we missed breakfast by 9 minutes and everything was already locked up and closed; faucet in bathroom sink was very hard to turn on and would splash all over once it did start working; called for service due to a clogged toilet and was brought a plunger (standard?). Unfortunately, would not recommend unless you get a very good deal and these issues don’t really concern you.

This was the worst hotel stay in a long time. The air conditioning didn't work, the elevator was broken for two days, the coffee server was broken, no maid service one day. Good location for our needs, clean hotel just a bad stay.

We booked two of these rooms for our Christmas vacation because it had a hot tub and sona room we got here got checked in and found out when we went down to the pool room the hot tub was covered over and the sona room was nailed shut!! Very disappointed!!

Broken doors(one sticks open, one has a broken handle) allow people to walk in and out of the back door without a key. In-room fridge would not close all the way, causing the freezer to become a solid block of ice and unusable; also causing the fridge to not cool contents to an appropriate temperature. Front desk staff was not present a single time we arrived at the desk. I do not mind waiting and understand things happen, but also become irritated when it’s a recurring and consistent issue(also, one of the time, after waiting, the desk employee approached with wet hair and a towel around her shoulders which I find rather unprofessional.) All things considered, it was a very affordable rate, so excellent conditions can’t be expected.

Stay with a bunch of family, pet friendly. Have 2 young kids who love the pool but pool was freezing, hot tub sealed up and sauna door was screwed shut. Upsetting of not being able to enjoy a swim or warming up in the hot tub. Shower was Luke warm. Room never got cleaned. Tan out of toilet paper. Good variety of food for continental breakfast but wasn’t very good.

When checking the mattress, the mattress protector cover was stained terribly in several places. There was some spots on the carpet that were worn all the way through and other spots that were stained. There were spots on the carpet that when walked across barefoot were crusty. The remote for the television did not work we could not watch television. When I went to take a shower and I open the shower curtain a dirty washcloth fell out of the shower curtain onto the floor it had been there long enough to dry stiff and had somebody else's hair still on it. There was an additional $100 incidental charge to the credit card and then released after our stay for that was not said prior to making reservations it came as a surprise.

Found a live cockroach on my pillow. They didn't offer new bedding. I asked for a new room which they did give me. They asked me to bring the roach to them bc they were skeptical. I sent them a pic instead. Showerhead didnt work properly. Water all over the bathroom floor.

The room was clean and nice however it was difficult to adjust the temperature. Wall thermostat didn’t work, finally adjusted it at the unit. Also, water in bathroom was either hot or cold. Couldn’t regulate it. Property overall was ok and everyone was polite and friendly.

I have stayed at this hotel before. It’s easy to get to the highway for shopping and going out to eat. Check-in , I wasn’t happy with. I walked in to check-in and 2 employees were at the desk, they didn’t even acknowledge me. They walked away and came back a few minutes later to help me. I picked this hotel to be able to use the pool, which wasn’t available. 🙁. The door to our room kept sticking, had to wear shoes in the room because the carpet felt dirty and lastly the remote to the TV only worked if you stood right in front of the TV. Not sure if I would pick this hotel again.

Double charged when we got there. The room smelled like burning plastic. We had to go to the front desk to get a broom to knock down cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling. The couch had something spilled all over it. The desk told us they would move us to an upgraded room but called us a few hours later to say that room was taken so gave us another room. That one was clean but we went to take a shower and the water didn’t work! They told us that sometimes if someone else is taking a shower above the room, our room wouldn’t get much coming out of the shower. Really? So we had to wait 2 hours for the maintenance guy to check out what really was going on. It needed a new shower head. I went back to the desk and told them they needed to compensate for all these issues and the manager(who was on her last day), said there’s nothing she can do besides moving us again…to a room with only 1 bed and we needed 2 or we can leave and they will cancel our remaining 2 days. Yes….and told us we can leave. Who says that? Plus they ran out of some of the food for breakfast and the pool was under renovation so our daughter couldn’t use that. Terrible management there. Way to many excuses and never made it right.

Toilet was plugged in our room upon our arrival, contacted the front desk and they instructed us to come down and get a plunger (even though this was not our doing). Toilet would not unplug, hotel staff instructed us to contact Expedia as they couldn’t do anything. Expedia indicated hotel had to authorize the refund, hotel manager will not return phone calls. Shower faucet leaked water and the pool is closed due to heating issues. Do not stay here!

We had requested and the front desk clerk said we had a 2 queen bed room but when we got there found it to be 2 full beds. The beds were quite uncomfortable. The hotel was quiet at night. Spent the weekend here for a boys basketball tournament and when we checked in, there was a sign that said the pool was closed. Unfortunately, it was like that for the entire weekend so that was a big loss for the boys. The only others thing is that when we went down for breakfast on Saturday morning around 9:15, there were only muffins, make your own waffles, cereal and some scary looking fruit. Breakfast was supposed to be available until 10:00 and the guy who was in charge of the breakfast opened the container, that I’m guessing had eggs and sausage in it at some point, said “I thought I just filled these.” And then never filled it back up with anymore food. He went over and talked to a customer for the next 15 minutes. I feel like we got screwed out of the money we paid.
