What guests think

At Comfort Inn & Suites Grand Blanc-Flint, travelers frequently praise the friendly, accommodating staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and a convenient location near the freeway and airport, making it easy for short stays, events, early flights, and family visits.

Many enjoy the pool and jacuzzi and decent breakfast, but stocking and variety can lag and the hot tub is often out of service. Ongoing renovations and maintenance create inconveniences such as missing lamps or furniture, elevator problems, chlorine odor near the lobby, and occasional room readiness delays. Rooms are usually comfortable, though lighting can be dim, some bathrooms are small, and light or noise can carry into certain rooms. Expect a practical, comfortable stay with some facility quirks.

Facilities

Indoor pool and hot tub are popular, but the hot tub is frequently out of service or has weak jets, and chlorine odor can permeate the lobby. Renovations and maintenance cause issues (elevator outages, missing lamps/furniture), and the airport shuttle starts later in the morning.

they offer free ride to the airport, not true, your flight has to be after 9 am to get the free ride, nothing for people flying out earlier than that.

Staff was great! Bummed no one mentioned hot tub was out of service for several weeks. Scrambled eggs were good on Weds and Thurs morning but then had a sign saying all gone on Friday but had them again on Saturday and Sunday but the texture was off. Like they may have been watered down.

Jacuzzi was down our whole stay, elevator down, hotel smelled like weed even in our room and esp lobby area. Paid 240 a night and was worth 140. Room was okay, seems house keepers do their job unlike some rooms I’ve stayed in.

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was good. My only problem was I'm a very early riser and the pool does not open until 10 am. A person like myself that wakes up at 4 am and would like to swim and get a workout in. Defeats the whole purpose of having a pool included in my stay.

We were told the hotel is in process of being renovated. However, incomplete rooms are still being rented. I had to call to have someone plug in the power source between the beds, we were told the lamps (that were supposed to be between the beds) weren't installed yet. So no bed lamps. One elevator & the hot tub wasn't working. Water got in the room when it rained. The floor was completely sticky. Maybe it would be advantages to refrain from using rooms that aren't ready to be used.

The stay was wonderful and quiet. The only suggestion is the parking space. It has a lot of ice which was an extremely dangerous situation for someone recovering from a surgery. There only appeared to be salt on the sidewalk versus a little bit in areas of the parking space.

The hotel was clean and staff was pleasant. I was not impressed with customer service as I was stuck in the elevator for over a half hour. I tried using the emergency phone, but it was completely dead. Due to not having cell service in the steel box, I was only able to communicate to friends staying in the hotel through a messenger app using the hotels wifi. Hotel staff first told my friends that it was broken likely due to some kids playing on it. They came to the door and let us know that maintenance was on the way and would bebthere soon. They arrived roughly 20 min later. After hearing grunting and clinging sounds of screw drivers, the elevator decided to take me and my wife to the 2nd floor where we quickly got off when the doors opened. Ultimately, the issue wasn't fixed and we were lucky that the door opened on its own. Needless to say we used the stairs for the remainder of our stay. What makes this issue even worst is that we recieved our full bill under the door the next morning and received no follow up and no one checked in on us. The next morming I ate breakfast around 7:00am in the lobby waiting to see someone at the front desks to connect about the HUGE inconvenience, but no one was there. I did notice the out of order sign on the elevator that was never fixed. I feel that the hotel could have done MUCH BETTER, and could have made this issue right, but they didnt. Likely the last time Ill stay at any of these hotels.

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Pool area was large and always clean. The hot tub was hot, but the jets didn't seem to be working as they should. We still enjoyed it though. Breakfast was fresh and the area was clean. The rooms were very nice. No issues. The only complaint was that you could smell the pool chemicals from the lobby and throughout the hotel. I think that is just a comfort inn issue and not just this property. We will definitely stay here again when visiting family!

This was the best hotel experience we have had in a long time. We were in and out but we were able to enjoy the amenities for the most part. The fitness room was in good condition. The boys enjoyed the pool. The hot tub appeared to be in a state of repair or needed cleaning but otherwise the amenities were enjoyable. Breakfast had many options. Staff were friendly and polite.

The check-in was very good. The clerk at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning work well which made the stay comfortable on a hot weekend. Downside- there were a half dozen long black hairs stuck to the wall of the shower. Definitely not ours. The sink drain was very, very slow. I noticed it later in the evening so I reported it first thing in the morning. The clerk at the desk said she would put in a work order. The problem was never addressed during our two day stay. Ending up living with it. Would have called again if we were staying another day.

Our room was dirty, littered with old cigarettes butts and debry, and our bed linen was dirty and had hair all over it. Then to top it off, the day after we cleaned the room our self’s and received new linen, house keeping cam in our room but didn’t empty the trash receptacles, replace the towels, or clean anything. We knew they came in the room because the old linen we changed was missing.

I liked that they had a hot tub and pool, that was the main reason I booked here. They had a decent spread for breakfast in the mornings, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. The bathroom was TINY. The lighting in the room was kind of weird as well, with only three lamps in the room and none in the far side by the window. Overall, the place looked and felt a bit tired, but had fantastic customer service and the amenities I came for, so I view it as a successful stay.

It's a nice hotel and looks fairly new. The breakfast was decent. The only complaint is that we had a room on the second floor in front of the balcony that overhangs the lobby. It was incredibly noisy. We heard people talking until at least 1:00 a.m. and we heard them saying at breakfast around 5:00 or 5:30 a.m.. they weren't even speaking overly loudly, but you could hear very clearly who was making a doctor's appointment and laughing and just general conversation as if it was right at our door. I mentioned to the front desk that they really should tell people befor renting out that room or at least rented it out last. We checked in about 4:00 & I'm sure there were many other options. It would have been a great stay if it hadn't been for that.

The hotel was clean, staff were great BUT you could not close the blackout curtains (the track wouldn’t allow it) & the 2 outside lights from the parking area shone right in on the bed. We couldn’t sleep because of it. I’ve never stayed in a hotel where you couldn’t close the curtains all the way. We were on the 3rd floor and this made it to where we had a horrible night sleep ugh!

If you normally need extra pillows and are traveling via air, please don’t expect to get any extra pillows, even after a request. If you’re traveling by car, you probably already do what I do, which is to bring your own pillows. However, this time, we traveled via air. It took them forever to respond to my request at the front desk for additional pillows due to a medical condition. This request was after initially requesting them when I made the reservation. When they finally told me they couldn’t honor my request, it was an hour and a half later, and they were not busy with check ins. So for me, taking this long to respond when it was very obvious that they could have done so sooner, showed to me that customer service is not at the top of their to do list. The room and hotel were not bad, but because a request for extra pillows was denied, and I explained it was for a medical condition, I will not stay here again, and we will be back in this area several times a year. And I ended up with a horrible night of sleep, since my medical condition was affected. If you are okay with no special requests or mediocre customer service, then this particular hotel would work well for you.

I am highly upset. After a stay I was charged $125 for "missing towels". Inside the room there is a note stating "please put used towels and trash in the hallway for house keeping to pick up. Which is what we did. Dirty wet towels with trash were placed out side the room. House keepkeeping or someone came by, picked up the towels and were not replaced, but left the trash. Apon leaving the other towels that were used were left in the hallway where we were told to put them.... before leaving Donna checked the room and told the girls the room was fine. Now I am being charged $125 for a couple of missing towels that we did not take. I will NEVER stay here again.

We booked a 3 day stay for a hockey tournament with the rest of the team. The hotel was accommodating with the use of the conference room. The rooms were clean, the beds are comfortable, breakfast was good, blah, blah, blah...all the things you would expect a good hotel to be. What sets them apart to me was their customer service. We won the championship that weekend and since we were 8 hours away from home, we decided to book another night. There was an issue with booking and I contacted Hotels.com customer service. At the time, I felt the most convenient option for me was to cancel and get a different room somewhere else. Boy was I wrong. I went in to make sure that the hotel was not going to charge me for the night while customer service was contacting them. Laz, the Front Dest Agent assured me, after checking, that I would be able to get a room. He informed customer service that he would take care of it and he delivered. He was very thorough in explaining the issue with the booking. We left for the game and came back and our room, which again met expectations, was waiting for us. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

It took us about 15 minutes to find someone by then they said it was too late to refill items because it’s closing at 10. Mind you we were not the only ones to come at this time.
