Nice place to stay for a UM football game weekend. Slightly removed from Central Campus area and as a result the Microtel is more affordable than some other Ann Arbor hotels, but it was clean, comfortable, and safe The hotel does not offer a lot of amenities (bar, restaurant etc) but the hotel next door has a restaurant and bar that is a short walk away. Would definitely stay here on future trips to Ann Arbor.

Located very close to the university but farther from downtown Ann Arbor. Everything about this hotel was fine - clean, nice to have breakfast, quiet, 24hr coffee/tea/hot cocoa, etc. My only complaint was the strong cleaning fluid smell as we got into our room (not carpeted - another nice thing). We had to air it out by opening our window. But at least everything was clean!

It is mid way between the university and Canton where the shopping and the best restaurants are. Price is reasonable and room is great. It comes with a mini fridge and microwave. Breakfast is included. There is a water fountain you can refill your water bottle at.

The staff are very nice the place was clean but after we checked in there was a strong and bad smell of smoking of cannabis it was in lobby and 3rd floor the staff been informed about it but did nothing. No smoking signs was everywhere.

This is a very tough review because I really liked the staff who were professional and hardworking, however the truth is that the hotel is very basic. When I arrived there was construction on the second floor, fortunately it stopped after a few hours. Check in was smooth. Went to my third floor room, and it looked like a college dorm room, very outdated and the bathtub was not clean. I called the front desk who mentioned that housekeeping was returning the next morning and they would let them know. Next day the bathtub was still dirty and the floor was also dirty after cleaning. Decent breakfast, no safe. I don't know if I would stay again. I did like that there are no pets allowed as I am allergic to cats ( Marriott allows pets) and the proximity to the place i had to visit.

The check in staff was excellent. I am handicap and asked the young man where the ice machine was and he said it was right behind me. My room was the last one down the hall. I use a walker and explained to the young man that I knew it was not protocol to deliver ice but he please bring a bucket to the room? He had it there before I could get unpacked and into my room. I was so thankful!

Very convenient to the UM North Campus area. More economical option than the Marriott and DoubleTree properties that are right next door. My room faced route 23 and so there was a lot of road noise. Try to get an even-numbered room to be on the opposite side of the building.

It was a very clean room but a bit warm for our liking and no way to cool it off. Breakfast was fine but no hot food (ie eggs, bacon etc). Convenient location beside highway but only restaurants within walking distance was adjacent hotel. This worked okay for us.

The hotel is really nice for the price! The breakfast is very basic though. Just some cereal and different pastries. The checkout time is actually at 12pm instead of 10am/11am which was really convenient and helpful. I’d stay here again

Affordable, clean and quiet in a crazy expensive Ann Arbor. First time at a microtel… lobby was simple, swift check-in, 1 elevator, room was large with vinyl plank flooring, lighting was *very* bright/harsh; bathroom clean, bed comfy. Our room was looking at highway, but we turned ventilation up and slept fine. Breakfast was less than impressive… waffle machines, bagels/muffins, yogurt, cereal, whole fruit, bland coffee. I really wanted egg/sausage. We’d return and skip breakfast.
