Ogunquit The Milestone Inn

Our stat was excellent. The staff was friendly, check-in was a breeze. The room was large, pristine, with very comfortable beds and pillows. The website photos really don’t do the rooms justice! The pool area was nice, lots of places to sit. There were Adirondack chairs on the front lawn available to sit and enjoy the sun. The continental breakfast was simple; yogurt, cereal, bagels etc., well stocked in a comfortable setting.

Very close to the downtown and the Playhouse which is where we needed to be this weekend. Easy parking, good air conditioning and rather quiet at night in spite of being roadside. Shower had good water pressure and bed was firm. Very rudimentary breakfast, the heated pool was out of commission, the rooms were very motel-like though the prices are for a high quality inn. Receptionist took rather long at check-in to hand us the key, making us doubt whether we had booked properly which wasn't nice.

Nice motel style hotel with continental breakfast included. Very close to Footbridge beach and a short drive to downtown shops/restaurants and The Marginal Way which has amazing views of Ogunquit beach. Be aware there are not elevators so you will be carrying your luggage up a flight of stairs on your own. The hotel pool was nice and refreshing.

Affordable lodging near the beach. I parked the car at check-in and walked everywhere. Clean and comfy room. Nice pool. Beautiful grounds. Free continental breakfast. Friendly staff. I will definitely be back.

We had a delightful stay; the employees were all friendly. Our car was parked right outside our door; easy access to it. Breakfast was just right for us. We were allowed to leave our car in the parking lot and walk to the beach from there.

Safe, quiet spot less than 20 minutes from the main area of Ogunquit, with a trolley stop right outside the property. Easy parking with free breakfast until 10AM, with one of the beaches a walk away. Bathroom and bedroom was clean and cool - no issues!

This is a great option for staying in Ogunquit and is priced right. It’s a mile walk to town which is fine if you like walking and there is a trolley stop in front of hotel. The staff is very polite and helpful. This year it seems they invested in new pool furniture and the pool is relaxing with some shade.

Immaculate room and grounds with a nice pool, big shade trees on the lawn and set back from the highway. Convenient trolley stop if you want to avoid driving (or sittng) in the US1 traffic but not far to the downtown shops and restaurants

Great place to stay. Pur room was very clean everyday. Never had to ask for towels, always ckean tiwels each day. Amenities were refilled in the room each day. Close to shopping, restraunts, ect. Would highly recommend.

Very dissatisfied with the hotel. Room was very dark even with all lights on. Black marks or objects all over the rug. Was very dank (only word I could think to describe it). The smell!!!! Upon arrival there was an odor of mold/mildew. Left for an event and when I arrived back around 11:30 to sleep, the odor of the mold/mildew permeated our sinuses (mine and my husband)! I have terrible allergies and sometimes have a difficult time smelling something in the air but this was so pungent, I couldn’t even sleep! It was horrible! I realize we were in a town near the ocean, but the wind was blowing and it didn’t seem humid outside, but it sure felt humid in the room, even at 50 degrees outside (and no we hadn’t had the heat on and had used the air conditioner during the day, even though it was barely 70 degrees) but it didn’t get rid of the humidity. Terrible experience. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I have other complaints about this place, but this was the biggest issue.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The landscaping, outdoor pool and pool area are well maintained. Very convenient to Footbridge Beach, walkable if you choose. We stayed in a double-double room, #201. Although the room was clean enough, there was a strong musty smell, or the smell of strong cleaning products trying to mask a musty smell. It was a just a short stay and we liked the location of the room, so we did not attempt to switch. Overall, the room needs some TLC. The bathroom fan was caked in dust and visible dead bugs in the fan/light cover. Wallpaper edges are starting to peel away. Bathtub has some visible dings and gouges, Remnants of swatted bugs on the walls in places, probably because they easily fly in at night when you open the door. Looks like newer sink vanity and bathroom floor tile. Water pressure and temp was good. Thumbs up for that. Fridge was clean and cold. A/C unit worked well, but was noisy. The outside weather was hot and humid, so not complaining about having working A/C. All and all, this is one of the more reasonably priced hotels in this area, and does not require a minimum stay. This is about the fifth time I have stayed here over a period of 20 years.

Rooms look clean, they do have a strong smell that penetrates your nastros. Attaches to your clothing, not a nasty smell can't describe it. Breakfast, please, very poor, day's old pastries, coffe ok if you like hazelnut flavor, even if it says regular, friut is good, ceeial is good, bread didnt see any white or weat . Maybe it was too late for refill, notice some families doing the shopping, you know what I mean, take items home, like cerial box or Bananas, apples, sorry, never went back fir breakfast, the pool area gets cleaned every morning, they clean the tables and chair, real nice area. Sunny all day. The crew is great.

Location was great. Needs upgrades in rooms

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom needed a bit of updating. Extremely hard to turn the faucet on in the sink.

Adequate but nothing special. Little soundproofing. Guests above us were heavy walkers and must have walked 10 miles in their room between 6:00 pm and midnight. Tried to call the front desk at 10:30 and found that the phone wasn't working.

We stayed in a king premium room. The room was recently remodeled. Carpets, walls, countertops, etc all in great shape. Room also had microwave and minifridge. Best part was the cold a/c and the great bed! Would definitely return again!

The room nice and clean and the grounds were charming. Our only complaint was the lack of outlets in the room and there no usb ports for charging. That was tricky.

This motel is fine and a less expensive alternative to the nicer hotels downtown. It’s a good location but not great. The motel itself could be spruced up a little but it looked ok. The walls are paper thin, allowing you to hear everything going on in adjacent rooms and rooms on either side of them. The breakfast was nice and the attendant friendly and helpful. For the price, this is a good spot.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Parking was super easy. The room was clean. Thank goodness we are not large people. The bathroom was meant for children. It is super tiny. Your Shoulders hit the toilet paper holder when sitting down on the toilet. The water pressure in the shower is amazing. You get what you pay for. The price was pretty good for a comfortable bed and a clean shower.

Book a 2nd floor room! Everything about this place was ideal and clean except we were on the first floor and heard everything above including walking. Close to restaurants.

Front desk staff were not friendly/not helpful. For example when asking directions to local attractions such as the “marginal way path” they were uninterested in providing information, acted inconvenienced, and when info was finally provided it was too brief to be helpful. Had to go to another business to get directions on multiple occasions.

The staff was just super. Everyone that we were in contact was truly exceptional. Look forward to going back again.

We came to Ogunquit for a Friday afternoon wedding. We were able to access early check in, even though it was a holiday weekend. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was very comfortable and the hotel was located close to many places.

When we arrived to our room we discovered an issue with the window locking, and the staff was able to switch our room to another one with no questions. The staff was pleasant and friendly.

I accidentally double booked and they were very nice to refund extra room in full

Service was inconsistent. Upon initial arrival Air conditioning in the room wasn't working properly. I notified the front desk they said somebody would be right up. 30 to 45 minutes later, nobody had responded. I called again and again they said somebody would be right up. Finally a young gentleman showed up, and fix the air conditioner briefly until you left and then it went back to not working again. I called the front desk again they assured me somebody would be right back up. This time an official looking gentleman responded with the same young gentleman. They entered the room and the older gentleman became very argumentative insisting that the air conditioner was working even though there was no cold air blowing out. He said it is cooling because it feels cool to the touch. I asked him why when the younger gentleman left it was blowing with pretty good Force and then it completely stopped. If it was working properly why wasn't blowing out cold air. He was very short with me and agitated. He then said it would be cold eventually and that it was working now and I should wait. It is worth noting that the air conditioner eventually did begin to work. The next morning we stopped by the office and asked for an additional pillow. We were told that if they gave us another pillow they wouldn't have enough for the rest of the rooms. Whether it was just poor customer service or true either way it was strange. Considering all the great options in the area, I would not go back there

If you’re going to close early, please put that on your website. I came to check in and everything was dark. My keys were on the front door, but had I not gone up there… I was going to sleep in my car. No call or email to let me know.

Easy check-in, close walk to 4-5 places to eat, trolley stops right in front, beach access 1/2 mile away. Room a little dated but it is an older motel, otherwise was fine. We took trolley to Perkin’s Cove, walked Marginal Way back to downtown, then easy walk back to hotel up Rte 1.

Conveniently located on the main route allowing access to many great areas. Perfect for a weekend stay.

Property was good for the price. A bit of a walk to "town"and driving/parking to yown was very difficult.

Great find. Across the street from beach access bridge. Walkable to lots of restaurants. Trolley stop on the corner if you want to go downtown.

Bed was so comfy. Very walkable to footbridge beach. Room was refurbished and large but had minor unfinished work. Breakfast very sad looking. Did not eat it was so poor.

Good location for walking to Footbridge Beach or get the trolley to town, or back from a walk in the Marginal Way. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, basic continental. Bathtub plug didn't work, so that was disappointing but otherwise it was a nice room at the top of the hill and staff were sweet.

The bed was comfortable enough. The breakfast was all muffins and cakes and sugar cereals.

Very comfortable stay for our family for a one night stopover. The breakfast was just cold items including cereal, bagels, and muffins. Easy and quick drive into town.
