Across recent reviews, Hampton Inn Metairie earns frequent praise for friendly staff, generally clean rooms, and a convenient location near I-10 and restaurants, with many guests also enjoying the complimentary breakfast and straightforward check-in.

Recurring drawbacks include maintenance problems such as sticking or damaged doors, plumbing and water-pressure issues, temperamental A/C, and occasional lighting or noise concerns from the highway. Cleanliness feedback is mixed, with many spotless stays but some reports of poor housekeeping, missed service, and isolated pest sightings. Expect a convenient, service-forward stay with variable upkeep.

The facility was close to our destination and convenient. The signage wasn't the best to know where to enter off the street. Check in was fine. The door to our room was almost impossible to open. It made a terrible noise when we forced it open or closed it for the night. I reported it to the desk clerk when we checked out. Also, the lighting in the room was very dim. No overhead light. The only place to do make up or check hair was in the bathroom. Everywhere else was too dark to see well. .

The Hampton Inn was my favorite hotel to stay when I visit home. But this visit was not a good one. The first room the carpet was horrible. We were moved to another room down the hall. The wall rack feel off the wall in that room and we found a dead roach in the bed. I’m not one to complain but this visit wasn’t one of the best.

The hotel was nice. The only issue was the doors are really loud opening. We had a large family staying near us that went in and out a lot at night that we could hear. The kids were screaming from the 3rd floor down to the pool and our room was 5 down from outside door so it was loud in our room. It wasn’t the hotel’s fault.

The staff was very friendly but the hotel is not a great place. The bed was super hard and uncomfortable . We had to get extra pillows just to lay on top off. The bathroom ceiling had a see through hole exposing the plumbing and lights plugs. The toilet ran all night and did not flush immediately , we had to wait about 40 min before it would flush . The room also has a weird smell and the microwave didn’t spin properly. It was a short stay so we just made the best

Probably my least favorable Hampton Inn stay ever. Check-in male staff frazzled by large number of arriving customers, cold coffee in lobby at check-in, afternoon, and the next morning but I was able to use the kitchen microwave, and at 5am operations staff come to lobby and turn on TV with loud volume next to where I am sitting. Nobody was even facing or expressing interest in the TV. Other than excusing himself to reach the TV there was no acknowledgement of my presence or whether I wanted a TV blaring in my ear. While on the subject of noise, one should note this hotel sits at the base of a split on-ramp so if you have a room on that side like mine was you should consider ear plugs as noise from horn blowing, loud engines, and custom muffler kits are a constant source of noise. Finally, let me end on a positive note regarding housekeeping staff. They were attentive and helpful, and my room was clean and well equipped which is why I usually choose Hampton Inn anyway.

Room 503 bathroom smelled like sewer gases was leaking into room from vent. We were tired and of course ready to relax and we here the words sorry we can’t find your reservation. I start going back through emails trying to find confirmation number. Finally I found it so I stand in line again and the lady said oh I found it. I was five feet away from her trying to find our reservation and she couldn’t tell me that she already found it.

We love staying here! Woke up to a flat tire, roadside assistance prices ⬆️⬆️⬆️, nothing open this early but we had asked at the front desk about our dilemma. We were blessed that the front desk clerk (Ronald) checked on us when he got off work. Took us for fix a flat, put it in and called his brother who came with air pump and put us back on schedule! Saved us a bundle. Prayers for all of them. Impressive to say the least. Especially being women travelers. Thank you Ronald and crew. You were out lifesaver

i guess what made me sad about our stay was that our TV in our room did not work on 3 occassions each and every night. two times had to call and while we sat in our beds the technician thought he had taken care of issue byt the 3rd time I asked for the manager to call me to discuss since they charged me full price. its been over two weeks now and still no phne call. I talked with front desk who were terrific but explaned that frustrated that i was paying full price and would like to talk with manager. No Manager still has not called.

Upon our arrival the front desk staff seemed ok. But once we got to our room it was hot and temperature could not be adjusted. We called the front desk and she ask questions and then said maintenance would be in at 8:00 am and we would have to wait on them and she wouldn’t allow us to exchange rooms (we were not asking for the penthouse suite). Next thing we knew there was a knock at the door and he said he was night security. He tried to figure out the issue and then reported to her that it was not working. She asked him to take the cover off check the drain and he had no such tools. Next thing we knew she was there. Took the cover off the wall and ran her whole arm into the system. The room temperature only increased. Still no room exchange. We wanted to leave but it was way after midnight. The next day I had to call after being in an uncomfortable room all night. I called the front desk bc because she’d said she would leave notation concerning the room change and they did not have ANYTHING! But eventually they brought the key to room 403 which was the bad room and returned with room 405 key which was better but we were drained from the heat and missed most of the day. I’m an rewards member and have NEVER EVER been treated this way and we will certainly remember this horror on our upcoming trip. This was a horrible way to spend my birthday!
