Days Inn by Wyndham Central City

The room was in need of repairs, worn carpet, broken floor tiles, and holes in the bath room door to name a few. At night the outside of the building was totally dark, the manager told us she would try to reset the lights but they were never on.

After staying there multiple times with intentions to stay there many more times due to traveling in frequently for racing events, we experienced one of the worst stays at a hotel ever. We typically use the washer and dryer to wash our clothes between racing days and this time was no different except the dryer malfunctioned and it used our money but would not start. We reported this to the front office staff and her exact words were “I don’t know anything about those machines and I can’t give you money out of the drawer. My manager has been up here twice and probably won’t come up here again.” I went and found more quarters in hopes it would work because all of our clothes were wet and our son needed his racing gear the next day. This took several minutes and the lady seemed as though she wasn’t going to be of any help. We did get the dryer to go the second time and it wasn’t until after we did that the lady said she could “try to insert money to see if it works”. We informed her we got it to work but asked could we just get the money that we lost. She said she was told not to give us the money from her manager and refused to give us the money despite the fact she was about to try it in the dryer. She was completely unprofessional and while it’s only a small amount it’s the principal of the situation. No professionalism. The washer and dryer did not have signs stating they were operated by someone else and there wasn’t a number to call. We will not be going back.

The pop machine was broken, and the pool/ hot tub was out of service. We checked in and our room had dirty towels and unmade beds. The front desk apologized and gave us another room that had been cleaned. The carpet on the stairs was filthy but the staff was very friendly and it worked for a short, one night stay especially since Best Western has a sink hole now!

Need more parking spots

The side door to the first floor has NO LOCK on it. The door looks like you have to use a room key BUT YOU DON’T. You can walk right in WITHOUT a KEY. Not very secure. Also the parking lot has pot holes in it. Not very becoming for place of business.

Your hotel looks tired. Outside entrance security broken.

I stay here a couple times a month normally. The staff are nice and always do their best to accommodate me. With that said this place needs maintenance on their rooms!! It is always something every time I check in. Windows that will not lock, especially on the ground floor are a regular problem. Rooms missing lamps, lightbulbs burned out and no hairdryers are other regular problems. Many of the rooms the carpet is extremely worn there are nails sticking up! You can pay a $100 a night to stay here on certain nights. It is ridiculous that a franchise hotel like this has this many things wrong with it. The employees are always nice but they do complain a lot within earshot. The owner of this hotel needs to hire a maintenance person asap!

They are doing better. The AC worked well and the bed was comfortable. Still didn't have a working blow dryer in the bathroom but at least the TV worked and the windows were not broken and locked. This hotel still needs a lot of maintenance items seen too. The pool was closed again. They need a proactive maintenance manager. I expect more from a franchised property like this at this price point.

Was bummed the pool wasn't open. Other than that I had an enjoyable stay.

Expedia listing stated pool and hot tub. The pool was closed and the only hot tubs were in room not general use.

I’d like to share what happened during our stay. The manager really tried her best to help and was kind, even involving her family to assist. Unfortunately, the person at the front desk who arrived later was not friendly. My wife's bed was covered with long black hairs, and when I mentioned it, he said no one could help and that he couldn't leave the front desk. I asked if I could at least get some clean sheets. Then I got locked out of my room, which had my medication inside. This made us late visiting my grandmother in the nursing home—we had to wait for the manager to come from Greenville, Kentucky to resolve the issue with her son’s help. They ended up switching our rooms. The new room for my wife smelled like mildew. There were blood stains on the mattress and a large old stain underneath it, which looked like dried urine—possibly the source of the smell. The floor in my room was sticky and unpleasant. I couldn’t sleep because the door connecting to the neighboring room wasn’t soundproof. We heard people partying loudly all night. My room was also next to the stairwell, so every time someone went up or down the steps, my bed vibrated and shook. There were no screens on the windows, and one of the windows was left open, so bugs had gotten inside. i could hear everyone in room next to be becuse the door between rooms did not block any noise

Walked into a room that had dirty sheets and towels everywhere. It clearly had not been cleaned. Then got moved to their last room that was a smoking room. It also had clear packing tape as the bathroom threshold. Pretty gross. Found a potato on the floor. For real.

Clean room

We passed three overflowing garbage cans and another room emitting a strong odor on the way to our room. Once there, we found it to be in terrible condition. The upolstered chair was very old and dirty. The center third of the seat had a large stain as if someone had had an "accident" there. The mattress had a deep sag toward the center. We then discovered urine on the toilet seat. Completely grossed out, we brought it to management's attention, and they were quick to clean the toilet seat. However, I had an allergic reaction to the cleaning product that was used. At that point, we were done. Even though we had only been checked in for a few minutes, it took quite a bit of time to cancel our reservation. I was told they could not issue a refund. After a considerable amount of additional time, they were finally able to issue a refund, and we left. I will not ever go to a Days Inn again.

Room could have stood some more cleaning. But main complaint is no hot water for showers

When I arrived, the clerk placed me in a dirty, not cleaned room. He apologized and sent me to room next. It was ready. The cleanliness of the bathroom was definitely underrated. The tub had a ring and hairs. No way would anyone want to soak in that thing!!! I attempted to purchase from beverage vending machine but did not get Coke. It fell to bottom of machine. When I approached the desk and explained, he said he couldn't give me refund or retrieve the Coke. He didn't have keys. OK! Next morning, there was no OJ or coffee ready. Day 2 morning, same. Poor management. I was really p*****. I probably never stay there again.

When I went into my room there was a strong mildew smell. I went and bought air fresheners but it didn’t help. I took my shoes off and walked to the bathroom and the carpet in front of the bathroom door was soaking wet. I told the staff and I got down grated from a king sized bed with a jetted tub to a two queen size bed room. They would Not give me any type of refund whatsoever. I have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions but I will Never stay there again.

It was a great stay. I slept the best I have in months. The curtains had cigarette burns in them. We were under tornado watch my first night. A guest asked at the front desk about what to do and the guy at the front desk couldn’t answer.

Check in was good and fast. Room was clean but toilet ran every few minutes. Woke up to go to restroom in middle of night with water all over floor. Shut toilet off and wiped water up. Told hotel next day they fixed the toilet. Tub spout didn’t really work and dripped constantly. Plenty of hot water! Sink faucet sprayed ten different ways. Fun brushing your teeth. Bed was good and room was good. Little inspection on the plumbing before staying would have gave a better review. Left a night early.

Marisa checked us in and was friendly and efficient. The room was as clean as he could be. Everything was old, the chair was all scratched up, tiles were broken and the jet tub was disappointing. I put water and bleach in it before we left for our concert s d was looking forward to having a relaxing bath when I got back, but it wouldn’t drain. I gave up and went to bed. It drained overnight. Also, the faucet leaked and dripped all night.

The room was nice and the bed was comfortable.

Clean room, very warm in room a/c didn’t work. Didn’t replace towels second night. Told clerk about both didn’t seem concerned. Toilet seat broke, they did replace.

Waited at the front counter to check in over 10 minutes. Ringing bell numerous times. Then clerk walks in front door. Was outside with a group of people when I walked in. Noted on email they sent l first floor only. Paid incidental fee then also. I was placed on 2nd floor. Until I spoke up. And asked for my credit card. I said I already already prepaid. Oh, your right she said. She said well... give me your key card so I can change it very rude! No directions to room, no info at all. Handed me a key and walked back outside. Texting the entire encounter with her people. The room. Omg nasty! Carpet torn up badly. Tack strips showing. Don't walk barefoot. And that's not even half the issues! Do NOT stay there!!

I'm in town for a Funeral and they where so kind

All of the staff was very kind and helpful.

We were harrased by house keeping. House keeping started knocking on our door at 7:20 a.m. when I was in the shower and my wife was still in bed. House keeping was wanting to clean the room. We told house keeping we were leaving that day and would be out before 11:00 a.m. House keeping returned two more times wanting us out so the room could be cleaned. The third time they knocked on the door and kept walking down the hall. My wife and I are older. We are very quiet people and Christians. We were polite each time house keeping knocked and as always, we do most of the cleaning before we leave the room. To include emptying trash cans, cleaning the refrigerator, and cleaning the microwave. We have never been harrased by house keeping at any other hotel.

Really nice staff! Only thing I found disappointing was for breakfast there was no eggs served. Had everything else, but would've been nice to have scrambled eggs with my sausage and toast.

Convenient access to the parkway. Safety was a bit of concern due to young people smoking something near facility and parking lot in the evenings.

Close to everything

The staff was excellent. The surroundings lacked things to do. Exsmple, dining, shopping.

This was a quick stay for a long trip. Nothing fancy but clean. Conveniently located off the highway. Huddle House is 24 hours and the gas station across the street is too. That worked for our schedule.

Property was clean for the most part.Gas station and food located close by which was convenient.Evening staff could've been a little nicer but was overall,pleased.

No elevator but we were on 1st floor. Very good service for anything needed. Clean room and good breakfast. Everyone was very friendly. Convenient location.

One of the nicer Days Inn properties these days. Convenient location near groceries, gas, and highways.

Traveling for a family gathering, room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was fair.

It was great except for the "hot breakfast" advertisement. It would have been far better to have said that coffee is available than then been pleasantly surprised to have had an opportunity to make a waffle. Much better to under promise and over deliver than to over promise and under delivery. 😁

The carpet in this facility was soiled and dirty. Should be replaced. I had to go to the front desk to get a lamp for our room otherwise the only lights were in the bathroom and room door. The breakfast, although limited, was cold. Obviously sitting way too long.

No elevator but we were on 1st floor. Very good service for anything needed. Clean room and good breakfast. Everyone was very friendly. Convenient location.

It wasn't to bad, except the pool wasn't open and they didn't know when it would be. No coffee for breakfast, orange juice was more water than juice. Air conditioner was freezing cold. Room had a few rough, wear and tear spots.
