We were desapointed that the hotel pool was out of service for no heat. Also the hotel charged me for my stay when I already had paid in advance through. I still can't get help to get refunded for the double charge.

The website said that there was dining and a lounge area. However it never mentioned it was only Open Monday through Thursday. We booked this hotel for that reason we were only staying that one evening. It was very inconvenient for us to try to find something after traveling more than 24 hours.

#1 - Don't believe the 10/10 reviews on this site! This is not a 4-star hotel! The rooms are in dire need of renovations. Things are beat up and need replaced. In our room: torn curtains, stained sheets with holes, worn out towels, stained wash clothes, the cell & TV reception dropped repeatedly, stained/moldy grout around bathtub, the toilet too low, loose seat, ripped shower curtain, rusted metal door jam in bathroom, dirty/worn carpet with holes in areas, stained ceiling, dirty marks on the walls, cobwebs in bathroom, dirty/stained bathtub, poor water pressure in shower, dirty floor tile, refrigerator interior dirty, window sills dirty & in bad shape, no USB ports, the pool was ice cold & in need of plaster repairs throughout, the walls and bathroom in pool area were in very poor condition and dirty, the rubber flooring around the pool is cracked with holes and dirty, the exterior patio off the pool had overgrown weeds and a dead bird right in the sitting area, ice maker was rusted and dirty. We were under the impression breakfast was included but were told it was actually $15 per person per day. We asked hotel staff about this and were told it was an Expedia issue. We contacted Expedia and were told it was a hotel issue. Expedia & the hotel did nothing. My husband was eating a donut (purchased elsewhere) in the lobby and a hotel worker ran over asking for his room number so they could charge us $15 for breakfast! They gave us a room in the 2nd floor but elevator isn't working and I was carrying my tall 3 year old daughter that was sleeping on my arms while also carrying 2 suitcases and 1 backpack. Receptionist didn't offer help or anything... just told us where the stairs were. Fine. It happens... but when we got to the room I see pubic hairs on the bathroom floor. Gross. I'm too tired to carry everything down again and ask for another room... there's also a spoiled orange in the fridge haha. I always had good experiences in this hotel chain.

DoubleTree Elk Grove is one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. I’m not usually picky, but the room was clearly not cleaned properly—dust was everywhere, and there was visible hair in the shower even though I hadn’t used it. I tried calling the front desk and got no answer, so I had to go downstairs in person to report the issue, which was very inconvenient. On top of that, the layout of the hotel is odd—if you have luggage, be prepared to walk a long distance from the elevator to your room. What made the experience worse was the $50 late checkout fee. I had asked for a 12:00 PM checkout and left around 12:30 PM, but was still charged. They said “no matter how late you are, even a minute, it’s $50”—which feels excessive and rigid, especially when housekeeping wasn’t even nearby. Really disappointing experience, especially for a well-known hotel brand.

Dirty bathroom, guest services never delivered requested towels for three days. The elevator broke down during our stay and there was no complimentary breakfast. There also wasn’t a microwave in our room and when we found one in the unfinished lobby, it was not clean. There was water damage in the bathroom, and the tv only had the basic options. Not even a smart tv for entertainment. Beware if you have a low car, the entrance has a big dip which is a negative indicator for someone with a low profile car. Lastly, the lounge chair in the room had a huge stain on the arm rest and the air conditioner/ heating and cooling unit made a lot of noise so sleep was not good

My room was nice I got there had a long work week so I wanted to get away from the kids a few day. I got there got comfortable got up to use the restroom turned on the lights in the bathroom and 3 roaches crawling on my throngs on the counter and the mirror. After that I had to sleep with all the lights on because I was too scared to turn them off after that because the roaches who have started running around again. I frequent this best western and it was shocking to me to see this. So I came to rest and still couldn’t rest well a wasted trip and money. I wish I could add a photo but by the time I got my phone to take a picture they ran into cracks.

We had to deal with ants for 3 of the 5 days we stayed even after we mentioned it to the front desk twice and the cleaning crew multiple times by the 3rd day they finally came in and sprayed the entire room for ants. We also had asked the cleaning staff to replace the towels and things after the third day. They just changed the trash bags and added a few more towels. It didn’t take the old ones with them as they were still hanging in the bathroom door. We originally got double billed but I got that fixed after I reviewed my credit card acct and notified it. Had three different people tell me where the ice maker was one said third floor another said one was near the pool entrance then another said go ask the front desk. She said they usually keep some in the freezers in the vending room. However she was kind enough to get a bag full out of the kitchen area. If you stay in a suite make sure it has ac in both areas as the it suite had one pull out couch and one king bed. Only the king bedroom had the ac so the front area got quite warm. Until they finally sprayed for the ants we were having to keep out trash inside the microwave because nothing was safe even in the bathroom and the coffee area. They never changed out the two glasses that was left by the sink. At $229 plus taxes per night it should have been a lot better.

Most uncomfortable bed I've slept in at a hotel. Woke up with pain in my hips and back. First room i was put in, the curtain would not draw completely and the patio door had a gap when closed. Bright spot was the original woman who checked me in. The following two trips to the front door the room and then wifi password there was only a gentleman at the desk. He needs a review and some training. Doesn't know how to talk to customers or manage multiple customers. Hopefully better options in the area for a stay.

This hotel could use some updating. While there are bedside outlets, I was surprised there were no USB ports. Also, while having an in-room coffee station is great, in order to actually use it, I had to move it into the bathroom. On top of that, the coffee pods aren't refilled by housekeeping. When I asked reception for coffee pod refills, they had no idea what I was talking about. There are very few dining options nearby. The facility was clean enough and safe enough, but beyond that, it was pretty basic.

We then discovered the air conditioner didn't work. Again, no one at the front desk so it took another 20 minutes for help, at the end of which we were told to wait for "the maintenance engineer." Great staff, warm cookie upon check in! Room: meh. It looked like the room hadn't been wiped down in months because there was dust covering the alarm clock and the facial mirror in the bathroom. The shower stall didn't drain so I had to limit my shower before it would overflow. The door was badly water damaged for shower overspray and I can't imagine the mold. I could hear the tv from the room behind the bed at 11pm clear as day so I couldn't sleep. I could hear the radio or alarm in the room on the other side of me at 4:30 am until about 5:15. They weren't loud, so it's not like the people were being rude!

The check-in process took abnormally long. The young woman working the front desk, seemed like she didn't exactly know what she was doing majority of the time and was just winging it. Also, she had a pretty noticeable snobbish attitude. The price was different compared to when I booked it online, through Expedia. When the issue came up with the payment/price difference, it was unexpected. So, I needed to do 1/2 payment on my CC and 1/2 in cash. However, that was another issue because they don't accept cash NOR do they have an ATM. I also requested to not be placed on the ground floor and to have a balcony, which I was not accommodated for. I was not satisfied with my stay at all. The only positives I can say is that it was quiet for the 1 night I chose to stay, the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.

I just stayed here and the hotel was ok just a little old but the staff is extremely rude especially Todd. He was banging on my door at 3 in the morning screaming “open up or next is will be the police” once I cracked the door to see what he was talking about he tried to walk in my room as I stood in front the door and said can i help you he said the next know will be the police, I asked what the issue was he said that I need to shut up Im disturbing the other guest. I asked him to be respectful in how he was speaking to me and please dont try to enter the room forcefully and he said you know what your out of here and we and asked the front desk could they tell us to leave and call the police. I then called the front desk and asked what was going on they said there has been complaints and when Todd came to the room no one answered. I told them I did answer thats why imm calling now and the front desk guy said well the police are going to handle it from here. I understand someone letting me know Im too loud however there is a professional way to go about things and him banging on my door and trying to forcefully enter at 3am is the way to go, a phone call would have been the correct method, or sending someone who didnt smell like alcohol and cigarettes.

My apologies for having to write this review. I have stayed many times a Hilton hotel (Many). But this stay was disappointing. My room had hair all over it. Especially in the bathroom. The carpet was not vacuumed. And the table was just not clean resulting with me having to clean it. I requested my room to be serviced at 1:30PM the lady stated no problem at all. When I returned it was not serviced I will never stay at this Hilton hotel again. Best regards.

Aweful service front desk Lady was really bad and never answered the phone I kept calling for about 10 minutes multiple calls and no answer, I called at 2:40 pm to ask for a shower curtain and never arrived and bathroom floor was wet. At 5pm we were walking out I asked the front counter gentleman and the engineer was there and he offer to take the shower curtain right away. Today 6-27-25 the safe had an old passcode and I had followed the directions to set up a pin but seemed it had the old code and my belongings were locked, I called same lady in the front desk took me 7 minutes calling and waiting multiple times until she answered and asked for the safe to be open to remove my belongings, after 90 minutes called again to request the safe to be opened and finally after almost 3 Hours in total they came to open the same. Worst experience ever and terrible service especially need to be calling for a long time for the front desk lady to answer the phone and also phone was old And missing a lot of buttons.

The property was clean, staff friendly and a chocolate cookie, warm upon arrival. I was there for 1 night spent most of my time downtown ...There wasn't anything near by, not even a waffle house. You definitely need transportation, your own vehicle preferably.

The stay was overall good. I would stay again. However, we were under the assumption that the breakfast would be included in the stay, but was $18 for standard breakfast at another similar hotel chain. This was disappointing for the cost of room. We did have to have the hotel to clean the fridge in the room upon our arrival. But was done expeditiously.

The website said that there was dining and a lounge area. However it never mentioned it was only Open Monday through Thursday. We booked this hotel for that reason we were only staying that one evening. It was very inconvenient for us to try to find something after traveling more than 24 hours.

We found an old slipper from a previous guest along with lots of dust and dirt under the beds, which tells me it was not cleaned. Housekeeping never made it to our room in the three days we were there, so we had to call down to get clean towels and set our full trash outside our room to be picked up. One day they emptied the trash and didn’t put any new bags in the cans. Only about half the channels worked on the TV (DirectTV). We had a coffee maker in the room but no coffee, and two paper cups with lids that did not fit the cups. Breakfast was $18.95 per person and was not good. I’ve had free hotel breakfast better than this place. Eggs were definitely powdered eggs, sausage was undercooked, oatmeal was horribly mushy. Server never cleared our plates until we left. We will not be back.

#1 - Don't believe the 10/10 reviews on this site! This is not a 4-star hotel! The rooms are in dire need of renovations. Things are beat up and need replaced. In our room: torn curtains, stained sheets with holes, worn out towels, stained wash clothes, the cell & TV reception dropped repeatedly, stained/moldy grout around bathtub, the toilet too low, loose seat, ripped shower curtain, rusted metal door jam in bathroom, dirty/worn carpet with holes in areas, stained ceiling, dirty marks on the walls, cobwebs in bathroom, dirty/stained bathtub, poor water pressure in shower, dirty floor tile, refrigerator interior dirty, window sills dirty & in bad shape, no USB ports, the pool was ice cold & in need of plaster repairs throughout, the walls and bathroom in pool area were in very poor condition and dirty, the rubber flooring around the pool is cracked with holes and dirty, the exterior patio off the pool had overgrown weeds and a dead bird right in the sitting area, ice maker was rusted and dirty. We were under the impression breakfast was included but were told it was actually $15 per person per day. We asked hotel staff about this and were told it was an Expedia issue. We contacted Expedia and were told it was a hotel issue. Expedia & the hotel did nothing. My husband was eating a donut (purchased elsewhere) in the lobby and a hotel worker ran over asking for his room number so they could charge us $15 for breakfast! This happened to multiple guests.No checkout receipt given.

Food options were perfect for breakfast in the morning. Nice and fresh and constantly stocked! The beds were fairly comfortable with nice and warm sheets!!

I was disappointed. Not exactly how it was as advertised on Google or other places even on Hilton site. Rooms and building itself corridors are very out dated. Every thing was functional but completely out dated. Had some dampness smell in room and had to run AC continuously to help out. Elevator was dirty and smelling. Staff was very good and again no functional issue but just getting old property.

The hotel was very old and just worn out. Bed mattress was worn and you could feel the springs. The hotel needed to be renovated. Not what I was expecting from a Hilton hotel.
