Check in was strange, we paid for a king room and he tried to give us a double room. When I said no, we paid for the king and that is what we wanted he said that was on the 3rd floor, with no elevator, is that ok? I asked if that was all that was available and he said yes so, I told him it would have to be since there was not a king bed on another floor. Room was non smoking but, smelled very strong of smoke. I’m get for most that’s not a huge deal but, it was making my asthma flare. Thankfully the windows opened so we could air the room out. Overall, it wasn’t the worst Super 8 we’ve stayed in but, it wasn’t the best. For the price we paid, it was just, eh.

My stay at the Super 8 Peru, Illinois was a very pleasant relief at the end of a very long day of travel. Exactly what you hope for, friendly; clean; quiet; I felt safe and had a really restful stay. Plenty in the immediate area, food, fuel, shopping. Just off the Interstate... But you wouldn't know it, Definitely will be my first choice next time I'm in the area. Mitz was fabulous at the front desk, very helpful!

The hotel room had blood in different parts of the room and the cleaning staff didn't clean it nor do anything about it. We left early.

It was an ok experience. The mattress was very uncomfortable, and breakfast was minimal, but it served its purpose for the price I paid and that's all I needed for one night.
