Great location to good places to eat and shopping. Rooms could use an update, especially the bathrooms and air units. 3 elevators that are a bit squeaky and shaky. But the lobby is fantastic. Parking was great. Bar was nice.

The renovations that are underway, are certainly needed. 1) Pool and spa have not been functioning for years. 2) At any given point during the stay only 1 of the 3 elevators were working. 3) A/C in our room didn’t work. 4) Wallpaper in our bathroom fell off the wall. 5) Escalators were not working. 6) Stairwells and exterior are dilapidated. The stairwells so much so that they are nearly to the point of being unsafe. Bring up your concerns to the manager of the hotel and you will find that they couldn’t care less.

I stayed on the 7th floor, seemed to be some pretty bad water damage. The hallway floors were wet and it reeked of mildew. The floors in the room were not vacuumed and if they were, were poorly done, the toilet seat was yellow and peeling along with tub and the wallpaper in the bathroom. The room had a balcony with a glass door so dirty you couldn’t even see out of it and the bedding appeared to have wet spots but was just the fabric severely worn. Not to mention whoever was in the room next to me had music blasting all night until the early morning. (3am) Overall very disappointed in the condition of the room, especially for the rate per night resulted in me checking out early.

Staff was nice and friendly. Location was good close to Oak Brook Center. Condition of hotel shows signs of neglect in rooms and in the lobby. There was tape holding down carpet in the lobby. Scotch tape holding together wallpaper in my room. Tub/Shower plastic was peeling off, tiles broken, etc. Comforter was slightly stained. Not a great look. Fine for me staying one night I guess.

Arrived after sunset. Lighting in parking lot was out making it difficult to see people walking to and from their vehicles. Event being hosted was very loud and I could not hear the receptionist. Checkin process was difficult. Receptionist could not find my reservation, then once found could not tell if it has been paid so she wanted to charge me again. Found receipt showing paid but the process was a hassle. Room was dirty, there was garbage and some pills on the floor. The bed looked like someone had been sitting in it. I almost returned to the front desk since I thought I was in an occupied room. 5 mins later the door opened, housekeeping was coming to clean and didn't know room was occupied. Ceiling of bathroom looks like it was about to cave in. In the morning, the entire lobby was covered with trash from the previous nights party. The breakfast was good and the staff there was very friendly. Overall this property does not live up to what I previously considered Hilton standards. I would consider other hotels if I needed to stay in this area again.

This is the first st Doubletree I have stayed in where the room was awful, tolite had a dirt ring around it, hair was in on wall in bathroom, floors had dirt marks, elevator was dirty and very loud, wallpaper in bathroom was peeling, and bathroom door would not close. Lady at desk was nice and professional. Area outside clean and was wailing distant to mall and great restaurant. Doubletree is known for comforty and clean rooms, not this. Please make sure the rooms are clean before you put guest in them. Disappointed

We paid a lot of money for 3 ppl to stay 2 nights. There were only 2 shower towels (which we didn't realize until it was too late to call anyone) and there was a flood outside our door that was leaking into our room. I told the front desk person this when we checked out and said it was not cool to have to wear shoes at all times in our room. She seemed more concerned with calling someone to fix the problem than acknowledging my complaint. The rates got jacked because of it being marathon weekend; if it weren't for feeling robbed to stay in a room with wet carpet & no microwave/fridge, this would be a good place to stay. I expected better from the "Hilton" name besides great parking. The location was good for us...but the overall hotel experience was lackluster. The attached photo is the 1-2 inches of standing water outside our door.

The rooms were really awful: the carpet was clearly permanently stained and clearly dirty, the mattress was surprisingly uncomfortable, with a bowl-like divit in it. In the bathroom, the paint was peeling badly from the ceiling, the tub drained so poorly that by the end of a short shower I was standing in dirty, soapy water higher than my ankles. The grout was peeling up and pitted in the bathroom as well. The alarm clock could not be set at all, so had the wrong time. The tv remote was so sticky that its keys stuck in when pressed. In the lobby, the couch seats are so badly stained we didn't want to sit. The soft drinks sold by the front desk are wildly expensive, and there is NO room service at all without 24 -hour notice, yet I see I can tip the cleaning staff who never came to clean or even leave towels by QR code. We've come every year for business and have seen this hotel dive in quality; we won't be back next year.

We stayed there only 1 night. The Ac was not working properly. We called the front desk and they didn't do anything about it. The bathroom door would not close and had a broken lock. In the morning there was no hot water to take a shower. Somoene came out to fix it which took about 30 min. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The area of the hotel is nice and the lobby has been redone. The elevators feel old and noisy. The room was not redone and didn’t have convenience items like a refrigerator, multiple USB ports and electrical outlets for technology. The TV worked but the shows went in and out as if the WiFi or connection was bad. The bathroom, including tub and sink were dated. The bed had a horrible mattress and overall room was not well appointed.

My room only had cold water and was also very dated. Shower head was about 6', so anyone over say 5 foot tall, has to squat down or duck down to take a shower. Worse than that, my room was 100% cold water and had to take a cold shower. When i told the front desk at check out, the lady acted like that was normal and said they have had a lot of complaints of that and they planned to address it in April of 2024...pretty amazing...

The property is in a great location. The rooms are a bit outdated. There was no microwave or refrigerator. There were also no USB ports to charge mobile devices and there were not many wall outlets to plug other devices such as a laptop. I initially booked a king room but when I checked in, I was asked if I would take a room with 2 double beds. After one night, I wanted to go back to the king because I needed the space but nothing was available and no one reached out to let me know when one did become available. So overall, not a horrible stay, but not the best either. I would only consider staying at this hotel if they update the rooms.

Front lobby and rooms were clean. Staff was helpful, accommodating and friendly. We asked for early check in and late check out and were able to get both easily. The pool was not open due to repairs which would have been nice to know prior to booking, but we managed. Room was outdated. Which was surprising as the hotel lobby was gorgeous and modern: Old furniture and really old TV with no smart tv options to use Netflix etc. No mini fridge and no microwave in our room. There was a safe in the room which is always nice. We had a balcony room. Balcony was TINY with a view of the AC unit on the roof. Definitely disappointing and not worth the extra cost in my opinion. I confirmed at check in that the room had a working bathtub. It had a bathtub however no plug: I was able to get one from the lobby, but again disappointing. Bed was comfy but pillows were not. Area surrounding hotel has LOTS of restaurants, shopping and entertainment options. Many walkable or a short drive away. Not sure i would stay again at this property but it wasn’t an awful stay. Just not yup to the standards i expect from a Hilton hotel.

You may want to spend some time educating your Front Desk people on customer service. When I checked in, the individual was rather impatient with me. When I checked out, I asked for a paper bill. The individual never asked how my stay was nor thanked me for staying with you. Considering the hotel choices in the area, I would assume you want your employees to be attentive, respectful, courteous, and enthusiastic when greeting guests.

BRIAUNNA checked me in and gave the absolute "BESTEST" customer service. I love Double Tree hotels for the chocolate chip cookies 🍪. However when I got there they were not ready yet. I was running late for the event I attending, so I forgot to stop by the desk on the way out to get a cookie. But BRIAUNNA being the master of customer service that she is, saved me a cookie 🍪 for when I got back late Saturday night. Can we start the month out right by making my girl BRIAUNNA "Employee Of The Month?"

The day we checked was the day of the microsoft outage. This shut down the hotel staff\'s ability to use their "system" to check us in. The staff was very resourceful to develop a manual process for getting everyone checked in. They were also very empathetic of our situation and worked very hard to make everyone as comfortable as possible while we waited to check in.

Our first impression was not great. The employee checking us in was very rude and yelling at the customer infront of us saying he can’t help him and to leave! He proceeded to then call the customer stupid as we walked up to the front desk. I was then confused our reservation was switched to a king bed and he didn’t mention that either just to pay. He didn’t tell us about the $60 deposit either. I was to scared to ask since he was already in a bad mood. Lastly he didn’t give us any cookies which they’re known for. We came down later asked about the deposit and cookies which another employee was really sweet about. All of the elevators are so small, slow, and jerky. Our room key we had to tap a few times to work, the rooms were okay. The sink made a loud whistle noise. We wanted to get breakfast but it was blocked off on all ends with no signs so having one up could help the confusion. Also got a midnight craving for a sprite and was surprised there was no prices on anything so it was 8.50 for to 20oz bottled sodas. Pool was under maintenance which was a bummer. It was okay but not worth the price I’d stay somewhere else next time in Chicago.

It was the staff who made the experience exceptional! The bar tender (Ana) was the first person we talked to, and she was enthusiastic in all the right ways. Frederick checked us in and was helpful, friendly, and professional. Cheryl the manager (?) went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, too! If not for these people, our experience would have been fair. Although the hotel was very clean, it could use some updating in the rooms. There was a crack in the sink, and wallpaper was peeling in various places in the hallway and room, for example. It’s due for a refresh. The staff, though, made me glad I picked this hotel in particular!

It's a wonderful hotel with great rooms and amenities. But the best part of the hotel is the staff!! Denise at check in and Ana the bartender are extremely personable, upbeat, and are the cherry on top when it comes to the all around experience. I go to this hotel for staycations. I could pick cheaper hotels, I could pick downtown hotels. But neither would measure up. The free warm delicious cookies get me in the door, the balcony and cozy bed accommodate my needs; it's the staff that makes me a repeat staycationer. 10 out of 10, 5 stars, 2 thumbs up!! We arrived a little early, before check in time. They let us check in early. The clock in our room was set at the incorrect time. Housekeeping should be checking this each time they are in the room. The next day we got back to our room pretty late in the evening & saw that housekeeping never came. Went down to the front desk to let them know & to ask for towels. Was told that we need to request it. They only clean the rooms every other day. Informed him no one tells you this when you check in & no information in the room either. All of the ice machines were turned off in the building. Some people resorted to getting zip lock bags of ice from the bar. Just another inconvenience for guests. They make you sign up for The Hilton Honors Program, if you want to use the free in house WiFi connection.

We had to change rooms 3 times just to find hot water & heat. Other guests were complaining about the same thing. We finally went to a different floor & found hot water & heat.We also asked to have out room cleaned but nobody showed up. Attached are pictures of ceiling in our bathroom & trash that was not attended to.

The location of this hotel is great! Many food and shopping choices nearby - a good number within walking distance. The rooms are in pretty good need of updating/restoration but the rest of the hotel itself was wonderful. Rates were decent also.

The hotel is conveniently located in Oakbrook. The front desk staff, restaurant staff and bar staff were all super friendly! The lobby and event areas of the hotel are very nicely equipped. The breakfast was delicious and they have Starbucks coffee in the lobby. The only issue was that the rooms need some TLC. The rooms were clean but are in need of improvements and repairs. The tub was scratched, floor tile grout needed repair, the bed was hard and the walls were thin. Overall it was a nice visit.

Hotel staff was efficient and friendly. The hotel was very full during our stay and mostly things ran smoothly. Our only disappointment was breakfast. We were told to “take any table.” After that, no one came to serve us coffee or water or make it clear that we could eat at the buffet. Basically waiters took care of everyone around us. Finally we left.

We were greeted and treated with a very polite worker who made sure we had everything we needed, explained where and how everything in the hotel worked. Food in the restaurant/bar was excellent. Will definitely go back
