What guests think

Hampton Inn Savannah-I-95/Richmond Hill attracts many stopover travelers for its convenient I-95 location and generally welcoming staff, with rooms often described as clean and comfortable, while recurring critiques focus on dated interiors and inconsistent breakfast and facility experiences.

Service skews friendly with quick, easy check-ins, but some guests report rude interactions, reservation or key-card issues, and housekeeping interruptions. Rooms are comfortable and sometimes spacious, yet many find them dated, with faulty or incomplete curtains, intermittent noise or light intrusion, and sporadic refrigerator gaps or failures. Facilities vary by stay, including elevator and pool disruptions, and the fitness room being closed or limited; breakfast ranges from hot and ample to understocked or cold. Overall, it suits a practical overnight near the interstate more than a polished, amenity-driven getaway.

Desk clerk at check in was very rude. The food at breakfast was terrible and cold at 6;30 am. Light from the swimming pool was on all night. Curtain wood not close to keep out the light. I could go on but in general worse Hampton we ever stayed. Never again at this location

Seasonal flowers were dead. The pool area was a major reason we stayed there and the pool was unusable. The day we did use it, it was green and dirty. The chairs were broken and pool equipment to clean the pool with was broken.

Our room was on 2nd floor but the elevator to 2nd button was broken. We had to take stairs with our luggages when we arrived at 1am. Our room bathroom was not clean with a handicap chair in the shower when we didn’t request for this type of room.

Nice, clean Hampton as always. Cheerful desk person and good breakfast. On the down side , the fitness center was poor and it was very noisy during the night. Loud noises, dogs barking and a screeching alarm. Barely slept at all.

We booked this hotel last minute to help break up our long drive bac to Florida. The hotel was right off I-95 and check-in was quick and easy. Our King studio room was perfect, included a desk and chase lounge, was clean and soaps and shampoos were great quality. The breakfast was hot and well made, including sausage and eggs, with waffle stations, fruit, yogurt, and bread options. The dining area was comfortable and modern. There was a small pool--we didn't use it but the area was clean and well-maintained. We also choose this hotel because it had a charging station and was pet friendly. We were able to charge our rental car overnight, at no cost! Because it's located on the highway, the surroundings aren't pretty or scenic, but it was exactly what we needed for one night. I would recommend it for sure.

Clean hotel in a weird part of town outside of Savannah. Think fast food and gas stations. But the hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly, I would stay here again if just passing through town.

My room had BLOOD on the sheets. It was towards the foot of the bed so I didn’t notice until the next morning (no my foot was not bleeding) then I notice the carpet and the desk have red stains on them. Zero people to be seen at the front desk and the women who were working in the breakfast area had an attitude so I left and called to complain. Have photos. Was told I didn’t complain in person so I’m screwed. This place does not clean its rooms. Gross.

Cons- strange man sitting outside in parking lot on curb in between cars upon arrival. That’s not a crime but it just didn’t look like he was checking in. Very dated hotel. The a/c or humidity made everything damp, wet and cold like we were staying in the mountains or right on the beach and we were neither. Woke up to car starting and idling in the parking lot for 30 minutes and I don’t think it had a muffler. And I’m not sure if there is construction happening but the noise level of thumping started at 7:30. The water does not drain in the shower. Pros- check in was easy and quick. Staff was very polite. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The price was good. It is true. You get what you pay for. Was it horrible? No. Would I stay here again? No.

Our reservation was cancelled. It all started when I asked if we could check in early. The attendant (female) said no we couldn’t only at 3 pm but to come back at 2:30 when she would be able to. We returned at 2:30 pm and she rudely said No not until 3 I said well you told me to come back at 230 and again she rudely said No only at 3 can we get you in. At that point we needed to take care of some other business. When we returned at 730 pm a different person (supervisor) said that we didn’t have a reservation. I showed them my confirmation (that the previous attendant had confirmed) and he said that mine was not a legitimate confirmation #. At that point we are now in Savannah with no hotel as this hotel apparently was sold out. Thank God I was able to get a room at the Best Western Premiere in Poole. A much nicer and friendlier place. I will NEVER again make a reservation at a Hampton Inn

Everything is great. Property is close to Savannah, but much less expensive than staying in town—and is conveniently close to I-95. The front desk receptionist, David, was kind enough to arrange for me to have late checkout. Just wish my room’s refrigerator had a freezer compartment…then it would be perfect!

Hotel is advertised as pet friendly however there was no area for us to sit and have breakfast as the space was so small we were rudely told to get our dogs out of the eating space. There were only 3 other tables there since it was early and we sat as far away as possible from other people since we did have 2 small dogs and they were quiet and under our table. Other hotels we have been in have had a lounge area away from the main tables where we could sit and have breakfast away from other diners.

This is the first Hampton in that we have stayed in that if they run out of something for the breakfast; that there were not accommodations made. For two days there we had no juice or water for breakfast. No apologies from staff for the inconvenience. They changed their rules for breakfast and posted it on small signs to 6-9. We were eating and it was 9:07; and a couple came down to eat. So they were getting things in the kitchen and Kelly fussed at Lisa in our presence. (service person by front desk person)Very unprofessional, the couple were going off the Hampton Weekend breakfast hours. Lisa was just trying to accommodate. The day before when we came for breakfast; a couple was locked out of their room for over 2 hours. My interaction with Kelly asking for a juice; she was not pleasant. They don't handle things with 100% satisfaction as their sign they display in the lobby that I have a picture of; that is a false. Would not recommend.
