What guests think

At Hampton Inn Hartwell, travelers frequently praise very friendly staff, clean rooms, and a convenient location near stores and Hartwell's main areas, making it a practical base for visits to the town and surrounding spots.

Several reviews report facility limitations, notably the fitness room and pool being closed or not ready, though boat parking is available. Rooms feel updated and some are spacious and quiet, but others had drawbacks like less comfortable beds or pillows, noisy HVAC, confusing or malfunctioning showers, lighting or clock issues, a barn-style bathroom door, and noise near the elevator. Breakfast is generally well liked for variety and coffee, yet some guests encountered missing or limited hot items, things running out, a small seating area, and pushy tipping reminders. A practical, mid-range stay with occasional hiccups.

It was Memorial Day weekend and the pool was not ready, since there was at least one turtle living in it, I had no expectations that it was going to be ready. It was very green and nasty. The bathroom needed a deep clean. It just wasn’t as nice as it once was. It’s overpriced by Hartwell standards, but the only hotel in town that isn’t sketchy.

Expedia advertised the room would sleep 5 and it did not. Luckily, the staff was able to switch our room to one that did. They have boat parking and a place to plug-in boats which is what we needed. The vent in the bathroom was full of dust and there were some gross stains on the sofa bed mattress, but other than that the place was nice. They had a great breakfast too!

I liked the location-right across from an Aldi’s grocery and very close to a Starbucks (I use Ingles grocery). The room and lobby were nice. Breakfast was good. Gym on the second floor-we didn’t workout but used the water station to refill our water bottle. The only complaint is the pool is very small and we were not aware that it was closed. The front desk told us it needed to be cleared by the health department. I wish we could have used the pool.

Great stay overall. Really liked the cleanliness of the room and super friendly staff. The breakfast was great with all the options and a person staffed on breakfast to help with everything. What I did not like was that there were people being so very loud, fighting, they must have been tearing their room apart and this went on for over 2 hours. I know its not the fault of the hotel but something should have been done before it went on that long. But overall again, great stay and will definitely stay here again. Thank you.
