Would have been helpful to know that the only way to park is with their valet system which was $55. Not the money, its the point amd the valet was of course nowhere to be found when we arrived. Also, we had to circle around the block to find the entrance. Directions would have been helpul when booking where to come in.

The front desk staff was helpful at check in and they text you during your stay to ask if there is anything you need. The location was alright. Not really in the heart of downtown but if you are there for business not pleasure I could see how it is a nice location. About a 10-15 min walk to actually go do things. Close to Hattricks which is a fun bar. Far from riverwalk, sparkman wharf and armature so if you are going there I recommend staying somewhere else that is closer. Only convenience store close was CVS and it closes at 6pm which is odd. Far walk to get to the other cvs/publix etc that involved walking on main bridges and roads. The hallway and room had an overwhelming musty smell and everything felt damp. The bathroom was so small if you got up during the night to pee, the door will hit your knees as you’re sitting on the toilet. You have to walk in, make a 360 tight turn to close the door and you’re up against the toilet. Super small. I got a city view room and I had a view of the parking garage. So don’t pay extra. The room did have a blow dryer that was alright. Iron and ironing board however no real room for it. The vending machine on the 15th floor was empty so don’t find yourself thirsty or you have to go downstairs to the shop which is overpriced. I regretted not booking the Westin which was similar in price and had a better location/vibe. Restaurant/ bar closes in the middle of the day which is really inconvenient if you wanna grab a drink.

Great location. Everything was clean and well maintained. The building is older so the rooms feel dated, specifically the bathrooms and hallways. The hallways to the rooms were dark and the AC seemed like it wasn’t on. The elevators were slow and hot inside. But the location was great overall.

We were able to check in 2 hours early, which was integral to our event. Our room was spacious and clean. The beds were so comfortable, and had bed bug covers on the mattresses. Even the couch was comfortable for our 12 year old. My husband was impressed by the size of the television, in relation to the size of the room. We were on the top floor, and the water pressure was still incredible. The view was wonderful, and we were within walking distance to our event. The staff was kind and responsive. The elevators were very fast. Khemist, their sales rep for Hilton Honors, is very good at his job. He had us booked for our next stay, before our car was even brought around to go home. We did not try their restaurant or bar, or get to use the rooftop pool. The valet drivers were very efficient and kind. We would definitely stay there again.

Overall, it was a great stay! The staff were super nice, and the room was clean and comfortable. However, I didn’t expect valet parking to be $55 a day, which felt quite expensive. Also, there was only one working elevator, especially during the checkout timeframe. My husband, other guests, and I waited 7+ minutes for an elevator. Eventually, we decided to press the up button so we could catch an elevator that wasn’t as full, ride back down to the lobby, and check out. One thing I really liked about the location is that it’s close to the TECO streetcar line, which connects the Tampa Convention Center, Amalie Arena, Sparkman Wharf, and Centro Ybor. That made getting around Tampa very convenient. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and the friendly staff and convenient location were definitely highlights.
